It was a cold night at the time.
The rain fell rapidly on the road through Gavin's car on the way back to his city.
Next to her steering chair, a girl with a black veil on her pair formed a knot of rope under her chin, hugging her own arm. His head was facing the glass beside him, staring at the street that was hit by the water of life.
Right, Gavin took Nilam away to City A. A big city with all its hustle and bustle.
The shop owner's mother happily accepts Gavin's condition to take Nilam with her. After all, the girl was no one - she was ready, thought the middle-aged woman.
But not with Nilam, his feelings turned restless. What will happen to him again after he is in that city? Her thought.
He followed Gavin's wishes, because the man used debt as his reason.
When it dissolves in a million perceptions in his mind. A voice blew away his residence.
"Hey, are you cold, Nuri?" ask Gavin.
Nilam turned his head towards Gavin beside him.
"Little."
"We stopped for a while" said Gavin. He stopped his car for a moment on a lonely roadside.
"You what?" ask Nilam confused.
"There's my sweater in the back. I'll get it for you." Gavin took off his safety belt and then turned his body to grab a knit sweater lying in the back seat of his car. "Here, put it on."
Nilam took the sweater from Gavin's hand. "Thank you" he said, then began to wrap the warm clothes on his body.
"It's warm?" ask Gavin.
Nilam just nodded in a smile.
"Okay, we're going again." Gavin reattached his seat belt. Then start moving the car slowly.
Next their long journey passed quietly, without words, without conversation. Because Nilam started to sink in his subconscious. He's asleep.
Gavin smiled looking at Nilam's calm face. Unknowingly he touched the girl's cheek. Pulling down her index finger stroked the soft cheek.
Feeling something warm caressing her face, Nilam blinked for a moment, and found Gavin's palm floating in front of her face.
"Gentleman what are you doing?" asked Nilam surprised.
Gavin quickly lowered his arm. "Ti-no. Ak-i.... Let's eat for a while. You must be hungry. That's all it is. Yes, that's it." Gavin mistakenly got down from his car parked in the courtyard of a fancy restaurant.
Yes, they have now entered a large area of city A.
Nilam looked at Gavin in wonder. He then follows Gavin out of Gavin's car.
"Let's go in," Gavin asked, starting to look relaxed again.
Nilam just nodded following Gavin who began to step into the area of the luxury restaurant.
"Welcome, Sir." The greeting of a maid in her tight uniform that accentuated every part of her curves, pulling up a chair allowed Gavin to sit on it.
"Thank you" Gavin replied, sitting his butt in the chair.
"What do you want to order, sir?" the servant asked without regard to Nilam who was still standing in his place.
"Nuri, why are you still standing? Let's sit down, "gavin's pinta on Nilam.
The waiter flinched. "He's coming with you, Mister?" the waiter asked in wonder.
"Yes, why?" ask Gavin back.
"I think he's a delivery boy cut this restaurant," said the waiter lightly as he lowered his gaze, staring at the appearance of Nilam who was only wearing a knee-length umbrella skirt, on a knit sweater owned by Gavin. And what made her feel even more strange, was the black veil that Nilam was wearing.
Nilam was stunned to hear the servant's words. He followed the servant's gaze which led to his appearance.
"Can you keep your word, Miss." Gavin stared at the servant sharply.
"Ma-I'm sorry, sir," said the servant frightened at the gaze of the eagle Gavin. "Please sit down, Miss."
"Mr Gavin, I don't seem to deserve to be in this place. I'd better wait outside" said Nilam, he turned around intending to step towards the exit.
Gavin got up from his place. He grabbed Nilam's cold palm.
"There's nothing inappropriate here, Nuri. This place is open to anyone. Yeah, right, Miss?" Gavin glanced at the waiter.
"I-yes, Miss. Mister, right. I'm sorry...."
Everyone inside the restaurant stared at Gavin and Nilam.
"You hear that? Let's sit down," Gavin's pinta back.
"But I'll humiliate you, sir," said Nilam grimly.
"Nobody humiliated me. Sit down" said Gavin. "I ordered the most delicious food and drink in this restaurant." Gavin's remarks lead to the resto waiter.
Nilam was sitting next to Gavin. But still with a messed up feeling.
"Calm down, there I am here" said Gavin softly.
Nilam stared at Gavin for a moment. "Thank you." Then throw his eyes in the opposite direction.
A few moments later, the food and drink that Gavin ordered came. Gavin ate his food in a relaxed manner. Nilam is in his leg mode.
"Why? Is the food bad?" gavin asked while putting the food in his mouth.
"No, Mister. It's so good."
"Then, why is your face so grim?"
"I only remember my grandfather. Can he eat well there?" Nilam's mind floated on the old figure of Usman's grandfather. Grandpa who missed him so much.
"Your grandfather?" Gavin asked confusedly.
"Yes. I've left her long enough." Nilam bowed softly. "I miss grandpa.... Even though I know that he's not...." Her tears started to come out in a deep yearning, stopping her speech that was stuck in her throat.
Gavin's heart paled at the tears of the girl he had only met for a few hours.
What is this feeling? Why does my heart hurt to see her cry? As for this girl, I just met her this morning. Inner Gavin
"That's it.... It is not good to cry in front of food. Pray that God will always protect your grandfather. Now, finish the meal first" Gavin said without asking much, though the question had been piled high in his mind.
Nilam rubbed his wet cheeks. "Yes, I'm sorry."
"It's okay - what. I-i understand. Eat it."
Nilam nodded obediently. And starting with the ritual of filling his hull, who was actually already shouting - screaming for his right.
Gavin smiled looking at Nilam who was eating quite voraciously. This girl is so attractive.
--
After finishing with their stomach affairs, Gavin invited Nilam to continue his journey.
In the car, Nilam was silent again. He began to struggle with his thoughts and feelings.
Where's this guy taking me? ask Nilam's heart.
An hour later, the car that Gavin drove into the courtyard of a magnificent European-style house. And stop there.
"Let's go down" Gavin asked. Nilam nodded without refuting. They walked to the large terrace of the house.
Nilam looked around.
"Whose house is this, sir?" tanya Nilam was amazed.
"This is my home" replied Gavin lightly.
"really?"
Gavin smiled. " Let's go in." He began to open the door almost three meters high. And led Nilam into his great house.
"Gavs. Where have you been, honey?" asked a middle-aged woman with a beautiful face, wrapped in a knee-length kimono, suddenly came to Gavin.
"Mama...." Gavin kissed the woman's right and left cheeks. Briana, Gavin's mother.
"Where have you been all day, Gav? Mama's worried." Briana cupped the cheeks of her beloved young man.
"I have needs outside, Ma."
"Why didn't tell Ma-" Briana's eyes caught the figure of the girl who was standing down behind Gavin. "Gav, who is he?" point Briana at Nilam.
"Oh, this is Nuri. My friend." Gavin answered lightly.
Briana frowned in wonder. "Friends...?"
"Hmmm..."
"Since when have you been hanging out with a rotten girl like this, Gav?" Briana put on a disgusted face.
Nilam's body was already shaking. The anxiety began to permeate his soul. Briana's words struck her deepest heart. Be ill.
"Mama.... Gavin please, keep talking Mama. Mama scared him."
"That's reality, Gav. Mama didn't scare him. She's a bus-girl"
"Stop, Mom!" Gavin snapped a little. "Come on Nuri." Gavin pulls Nilam's arm and takes him away from his mother.
"Gaviiiii...!!"
Seriate...
