The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 132 - Demon and Ghost Duel

The two people faced each other without taking their eyes off each other. Xiang Yi Bai took a sitting position on a boulder while chugging on wine. Assuming this was Xue Zhan's first practice after all this time as well as the event of showing his students' abilities. He was quite curious as to what his disciple had gone through and to what extent his development had gone.

Silence approached, until finally the sound of Fenghuang's shrillness tore the silence into a war drum for battle at the bottom of the Regret Gorge.

"The Eleven-Finger Ghost is my opponent. You can beat the rest all you want."

Fenghuang said annoyedly. "Just looking at his face I'm sick of fighting with that Foul Ghost."

Fenghuang flew fiercely towards the Eleven-Finger Ghost, translucent and slightly injured the man with a scratch on the cheek.when the Eleven-Finger Ghost followed the direction of Fenghuang's flight which was heading towards the Red Faryngeal army, Xue Zhan let out a voice.

"Your opponent is me."

"Curtain, don't get big head first."

He pulled a sly smile. "You forget, among the Ghosts of the Jade Ghost Tower I am one of the strongest?"

Xue Zhan clasped tightly onto the sword in his hand without caring about the man's chatter.

He began to slowly walk towards the Eleven-Finger Ghost who was just standing by warning the attacks from the front. This is a fight between Ghosts and Demons.

"We see, between the two of us, who first kissed the crust of hell." The Ghost of Eleven Fingers laughed. Meanwhile, his finger started to show strange signs.

"You go first. Your great-grandfathers might be waiting to slap you in the afterlife," Xue Zhan replied. The Ghost Eleven Fingers laughed even more.

"Large-mouthed boy, don't expect to send me there. You think my abilities are limited to my hands?"

He picked up the sword tucked behind his shoulder, Xue Zhan kept walking closer without the slightest hesitation. But of course he thought about the Ghost's true abilities. Looking at his way of wielding a sword and his ability to channel the power within his body, it was possible that he was also a martial expert like Xiang Yi Bai.

Xue Zhan started the fight with a cross slash from above. The Eleven-Finger Ghost deflected easily, the two swords defending each other. The same moment Xue Zhan flipped his sword to attack from another point, the Eleven-Finger Ghost following his movements was just as fast.

The collision of the two irons again let out an intense clanking sound. The Eleven-Finger Ghost did not let Xue Zhan be faster than him and continued to follow Xue Zhan's movement pattern. The moment Xue Zhan ducked down he did the same and directly fended off the young man's sword mercilessly.

"Another ability of the Eleven-Finger Ghost is to imitate the movements of its opponent?" inner Xue Zhan though she was just assuming. Undeniably, inside the Ghost Jade Tower he was probably the strongest. Not without reason, the Eleven-Finger Ghost turned out to have other abilities that made it superior to other ghosts.

The fight went on fiercely for a few minutes without anyone getting hurt as both were balanced. The agony and manner became an exciting spectacle for Xiang Yi Bai. How not, the first seconds only his disciple fought a draw against the Eleven-Finger Ghost. It's hard to determine the winner.

This time alone, Fenghuang again dived down from a height, its wings giving off a sharp red radiance which if caught at a glance resembled a meteor falling to the earth. Rocks on the wall began to fall, the possibility of landslides also enlarged.

After seeing the movement-mimicking ability belonging to the Eleven-Finger Ghost, Xue Zhan felt this was all in vain. He did not want to spend energy just to receive a stalk from the man continuously. Xue Zhan retreated five steps, stretching out the sword with both hands before the enemy.

"Now I understand how you fight."

The Eleven Finger Ghost did not recite but observed every inch of the opponent's movements.

Xue Zhan twisted his body, sword slashes following the movements of his body. The Eleven Finger Ghost did the same move. The river water splashed upwards, their two sword eyes clashing against each other.

Xiang Yi Bai was stunned for a moment, he hesitated a bit at his own conjecture and tried to notice even more clearly the movements Xue Zhan had brought up.

Just now Xue Zhan was doing the basic move of belonging to the Thousand Tree Mountain. But what made him surprised the movement did not have a hundred percent resemblance to what he taught. Instead something is changing and adding. He was clearly confused.

In front of there Xue Zhan disappeared from before the Eleven-Finger Ghost as the splash of river water blocked the sight of his enemy. Suddenly the ground on the river bank shook, Eleven Finger Ghost turned wary until when the shock made a huge hole that made it fall inside.

A split second after Xue Zhan had actually appeared from above while unleashing a fatal attack.

A single blow struck the Eleven-Finger Ghost in a crushing manner, Xue Zhan's sword eyes went straight towards the head of the Eleven-Finger Ghost.

The Eleven-Finger Ghost resisted the attack from penetrating his head by blocking him with one hand. The translucent sword in the hand, blood falling in, Xue Zhan and the Eleven-Finger Ghost looked at each other fiercely.

"Devil trained by a monster. It's no wonder why your strength has grown this great."

On the other hand Xiang Yi Bai was still trying to guess. Xue Zhan did something to the moves he had put down on her. Like the attack earlier, Xue Zhan used the Earth Shattering Rat technique to make the Eleven-Finger Ghosts enter into a huge earthen pit. But after that he instead appeared from above and instantly unleashed a movement of Wind Reversing Clouds.

Those three seconds, Xue Zhan instantly used two moves.

Never one of the five thousand disciples in the Thousand Tree Mountain had ever done such a thing. Only Xue Zhan had done so, it was precisely because of that that that he grew even more shocked. Putting the two movements together at once will create a new technique that may be more powerful. Xue Zhan had recognized his own fighting style and adjusted the six moves he had taught him in his way of fighting.

Perhaps that was the reason why Xue Zhan had been in the Hot Waterfall for so long. His development was not in vain. Xiang Yi Bai who had intended to scold Xue Zhan for being locked up for too long was now disengaged and wanted to see another surprise that his disciple would show.

"You remind me of my previous students. Your eyes, the way you fought and your great ambitions ..." as soon as the man again missed his old disciple, a grievous smile was seen on his face for a moment. "... Or will you surpass my former disciple, little devil?"
