The Legend of the Devil

The Legend of the Devil
Ch. 146 - A No Stranger Figure

Who would have thought the temporary residence of Fan Yuan was so majestic. She was a special guest who was treated specially, but all the facilities given to her were much more than that. The place is in the form of a building with two floors in front of which are decorated by fish ponds, ornamental flowers, statues and fountains.

Xue Zhan was still silent as to not understanding what Xiang Yi Bai meant to involve himself with this man, after all Xue Zhan himself was the first to interfere in Fan Yuan's affairs. He could only follow while asking, "Teacher, why do we have to follow him?" the whisper was very slow.

Xiang Yi Bai replied to his follow. "He might have a clue about what you're looking for. When can I get a closer look?"

The answer is short and concise. After that Xue Zhan thought in silence. Looking around, Fan Yuan did indeed have a great influence. Xue Zhan needed access to obtain information regarding the issues that were within the Empire. Blending in with groups like those who have more information is much more profitable. It was unexpected that Xiang Yi Bai directly read the situation. Xue Zhan nodded in understanding.

Now that they reached the Fan Yuan residence, the man explained to the servants and bodyguards about Xue Zhan and the others and asked them to serve the three well.

"I'm sorry, this is all I can do to repay the kindness of gentlemen and ladies. Stay for three days here until the Wind Goddess Award ceremony arrives. I'll guarantee you won't regret it. This is an event you won't forget." He explained with a friendly smile, as usual Xiang Yi Bai replied in the same way.

The Old Monster if he meets the upper man, his manners are immediately used. Xue Zhan puffed up, with him alone Xiang Yi Bai liked to get angry indistinctly. Let alone Fenghuang, the two of them always made his ears scream.

"Ah yes! Are you guys hungry? My waiter will be preparing food in a moment. Sit down, sit down."

Xue Zhan looked towards Xiang Yi Bai, the man forced him and Fenghuang according.

"Thank you, you're so kind."

Fan Yuan laughed happily. "I should be the one to thank the three of you. What an unexpected event. He said the Imperial soldiers are investigating this incident and you can rest easy because outside this residence we are heavily escorted. It won't happen again."

He grimaced a little considering the events of a few hours ago, like he had just been pushed to the bottomless pit. Now he could breathe in calmly.

"yes too. I haven't told you my name yet? My name is Fan Yuan, one of the envoys from the Feng Empire to enliven the Wind Goddess Birth festival event. It's good to see you guys."

Xiang Yi Bai nodded.

Fan Yuan fused his ten fingers on the table while moving it, looking questionable. "Hm ... May I know your names?"

That second the three of them no one answered made Fan Yuan feel a little guilty, "Ah, I guess I was too excited. You must be very closed to this kind of thing, forgive my gibberish."

Fan Yuan smiled once more. Given the white-robed man and the young man wearing the mask, it was likely true that they were closing down the identity. But the beautiful girl, Fan Yuan was stunned to see her appearance. Until suddenly the girl snickered and bullied herself silently. Fan Yuan instantly looked away while turning his head.

'What a creepy girl. Just the look in his eyes can make me have a heart attack.'

As the waiter prepared their lunch in conversation, Xue Zhan and Fenghuang only silently listened to the trite pleasantries.

The women came into the room to bring various types of food. Fan Yuan instantly allowed them to eat especially at Xue Zhan and Fenghuang who seemed to be very awkward.

Xue Zhan was intending to directly eat shamelessly, almost making Xiang Yi Bai hit his back neck. The young man took off the mask.

Fan Yuan immediately read the situation and said goodbye, it seemed that he was also very busy and had to prepare for this it was. After the departure of Fan Yuan and the guards, Xiang Yi Bai allowed him to unmask.

"If you show your face, it's possible that he'll pass out on his feet. Less-less your reckless idiot boy." It was extremely upset Xiang Yi Bai seemed. Xue Zhan is replying to the plate.

"When you are hungry, there is another thing called a brain. Isn't that right, Fenghuang?" He nudged the Fenghuang next to him who was only addressing all the food on the table.

"Huh! I don't have an appetite."

"Later if starving don't pounce on rats. Just embarrass me." Xiang Yi Bai clucked. Fenghuang looked away annoyed, meanwhile Xue Zhan put on a nosy face.

"There's so much pity. You must be hungry but not used to human food. I know what you're gonna do" he said sympathetically.

Fenghuang looked at him.

"What?"

"Eat the heart."

Instantaneous storm. Fenghuang used the sleeves of her long robe to slap Xue Zhan's face into the eye, the young man screamed and nudged the glass cup until it broke. Xiang Yi Bai was still eating chicken while breathing out repeatedly. It seemed that Xue Zhan was indeed very expert at making others annoyed.

"Say again?!" Fenghuang pulled the collar of Xue Zhan's clothes until the young man's feet could not touch the floor.

"I-I'm sorry, it's so fierce. I'm just kidding."

"Boy from the heart!"

"Just know."

Fenghuang raised next to her hand gathering strength, Xue Zhan panicked. "I'm sorry, Madam. I'm sorry."

"Fenghuang, release. The guards outside think we're doing something, you guys are so noisy."

Fenghuang released Xue Zhan annoyed, she melengos went straight to her room indicated by the female servant inside the residence. After lunch they had a lot of free time so Xue Zhan decided to look for the wind outside.

The wind was blowing when the sun started to fall. Fan Yuan's residence only looked small from where Xue Zhan was sitting right now. He was lazing on a tree branch facing directly towards the clear green river.

Xue Zhan was too drowning with daydreaming until he realized he was not alone. On a small bridge adjacent to a tree, a girl was sitting alone. Sounding softly from his mouth, he held back the crying repeatedly to make his shoulders tremble.

Xue Zhan noticed more clearly and felt familiar just by looking at the girl's back.

The girl stared at the reflection of her face in the mirror and put away the hair child on her forehead, her lips quivering with tears that continued to flow on both of her white cheeks.

He was stunned when he saw someone with a white mask watching his cries in that quiet place. Then the girl stood up, retreating to the end of the river.

"Who are you?" Breathing faltered.

Xue Zhan smiled behind his mask, it was only fitting that he always felt familiar with the girl. In his eyes now, he caught a glimpse of a little girl squatting aloof in the garden. The little girl was often bullied by boys to the point of crying, not having any friends like her.

"You okay?"

The question made the girl's eyes warm again, she felt foreign yet the figure felt very close to her.
