"A-what are you doing, Young Master Jiazhen? Isn't he your teacher?" A surprised woman was not playing, she was so familiar with Wang Tian and without a doubt, Jiazhen Yan struck her in front of the other disciples. An insult to the man, Wang Tian stood up with a stifled face.
He looked like he was going berserk in a moment, but Jiazhen Yan was acting unconcerned.
"Leave that son of a bitch, I'm so lazy to see his face."
Jiazhen Yan forced Xue Zhan away, because he knew the place would definitely be crowded and did not rule out the possibility of people he knew would arrive. She herself was already used to getting involved in matters, therefore Jiazhen Yan could still look a henchman.
Yet not ten meters away, a man whose face was almost similar to Jiazhen Yan was standing before them along with dozens of clan servants. The red eyes looked cold. There was anger behind her eyes. No need to say those words, Jiazhen Yan instantly fell silent in silence.
"It turns out my son already has a new friend."
Xue Zhan trembled just from looking at the man's face. He was the head of the Jiazhen clan, a distinguished noble family that contributed much to the empire. The clothes he was wearing were knitted with high-quality thread braids. The charisma on his face and his resolute manner reminded Xue Zhan of Emperor Ziran.
"There's a lot of gossip going around about you, young man." The man walked towards Xue Zhan, trying to touch his shoulder. But suddenly Jiazhen Yan brushed off the hand.
"Is there anything you want to talk to me about?"
His father pulled back a hand, getting a look of dislike from his son, he undoed the intention and only looked at Xue Zhan once more. Xue Zhan was goosebumps, those red eyes were like trying to kill him.
"Oh, of course."
Jiazhen said nothing and immediately left with her father and bodyguards.
Again, Xue Zhan himself. He tried to look around.
All the kids his age were friends and joked with each other. Only himself there. As he walked, people immediately stepped aside treating him like a criminal.
Behind his back they kept whispering, scorning him and even clearly addressing him as a rotten demon.
A stone was thrown about his forehead. Xue Zhan glanced towards the group of young people who were the same age as him. They laughed at him and still threw stones, one more time hitting his forehead and making Xue Zhan bleed.
Xue Zhan tightened his fist, he should not be weak and accept being bullied like that. His footsteps raced quickly, he immediately pulled the collar of the head of the group of delinquents. They seem to be a bunch of students at the same college.
The young man in a thug-like style shuddered in horror, he almost peed in his pants directly opposite Xue Zhan. Because rumors say the demon can kill anyone without mercy.
"Stop doing that or-"
Xue Zhan had yet to connect his sentence and a loud scream was heard from the boy's comrade.
"This devil wants to kill my friend! Help, help, help! Anyone! He's gonna kill my friend!" The voice echoed throughout the courtyard, not just her one, her other two friends were helping to shout. Until a supervisor came and separated Xue Zhan with the boy earlier.
Xue Zhan had received a warning from the supervisor, as there was no wound at all Xue Zhan was released.
A moment Xue Zhan missed her former life. There was only the grandfather and sister, a quiet life without much interaction with other humans. He touched the horn on the left of his head.
"If I had been born a human being, would my life be better than this?"
Sometimes regret came suddenly, Xue Zhan to the point of questioning stupid things. After all, he was a mixture of demon and human blood. Legend has it that this mixture of blood would give birth to a power called Sin.
But until this second Xue Zhan still did not know the full extent of it.
"I promised my grandfather not to regret this. All of this must have had a reason..."
He turned towards a passageway that looked crowded by teachers. Xue Zhan's footsteps were stifled, because so many people no one was aware of his presence. Xue Zhan caught the person he had been looking for earlier while conversing with another teacher under a shady tree. In the yard it is surrounded by an artificial pond containing koi fish and lotus flowers. The shower in the pool makes it look more beautiful.
But it seemed that the beauty of the pond did not melt the bitterness in Xue Zhan's heart when he heard what his teacher's friend was talking about.
"I can't believe that out of the many genius disciples asking you to be his teacher you ignored all of them and instead chose that sinful weak demon. He's so dirty and evil, you want to forge a power that will destroy you and the crowd?"
The old teacher gave a disappointed look, the others looked over.
"He should not be allowed to live. I agree if Emperor Ziran decides to kill him. Next time you should take your students more seriously. Weak or strong makes no difference. If he's weak, you'll be ashamed to have a student like him. Being strong, he has great potential to bring trouble to our Empire."
As well as the young Master beside Kang Jian, he also agreed with the other teachers.
"If Senior doesn't mind I have a list of some of the most outstanding disciples of this class. I'm sure Senior is capable of guiding the would-be greatest swordsman in our Empire, but the person isn't that demon. Please consider it again," he said honestly.
Kang Jian did not respond much, but even though his disciple was being denounced from various sides he still remained calm. Until his mouth opened, Xue Zhan was still listening to their conversation silently.
"I believe it" he said. "He's the student I've been looking for. My instincts say he's the one."
"How can you be so confident"
"Senior, you should look for another more competent disciple. There are so many who want you to be their teacher!"
"I don't understand anymore, if you insist I'm sure after this there are many who come to hate you, brother Kang Jian."
Xue Zhan walked away. He paused his intention to meet Kang Jian, he shouldn't have listened to all of that.
But Kang Jian seemed to believe him so much. Xue Zhan did not want to waste that. He wanted to reply to the words of the teachers by proving that he was not as weak or as dangerous as they had said. He was Xue Zhan, that had never changed.
"No matter who hates me, I will not disappoint those who trust me. Teacher, I promise I will train hard and buy them all a talk. Hold onto this promise."
