Ch. 126 - Steps to Clouds
Vortexes of wind howled fiercely inside a giant cave occupied by thousands of kinds of bird and insect stealth. The hot waterfall spatter emitted a dangerous pure force energy, a thick white mist vapor surrounded a bird demon with beautiful feathers.
The red eyes of the Phoenix were unceasingly observing the situation before him, with the power that returned full of phoenixes becoming unrivalled. He flicked his wings, giant needles without a form flying through the air and pierced through the hearts of six spider demons at once. The other twelve bounced against the wall mercilessly, they were still able to move and attack the other flocks of birds inside the cave.
Lately the disaster outside the Hot Waterfall is increasingly intense, often there are large earthquakes and aftershocks that cause landslides. It caused some of the demons to lose their homes and start seizing other areas of power. Including these spider demons. They had six legs and seven eyes, each strand of coarse fur growing on their bodies was as sharp as a blade. The liquid from their mouths was much more dangerous than a snake demon.
For now the spider demon is the ruler outside, they finally force to stay inside the cave by fighting and becoming the ruler.
Thousands of flying birds circled overhead while making a shrill sound. Some who tried to dissuade the giant spiders from killing the flock of birds instantly died. Spider demons have a unique ability where their sharp feathers can fly and stab their opponents even in a height of a hundred meters.
The chaos made a young man who had spent two more years inside the Hot Waterfall cave come out of his nest.
His eyelashes moved, his ears slowly hearing the movement. When his eyelids opened, a red light appeared in the middle of the darkness of the cave where Cicak Loreng lived which at that time was only inhabited by himself. He moved in the darkness, his eyes lurking for the spiders outside the cave that would destroy the Hot Falls.
The Spider King ate a green giant bird that did not have the ability to fly like the others. In Goa, they are completely harmless.
The young man's steps grew even faster until he finally appeared behind the hot waterfall.
That intimidating gaze made the spiders pause for a moment, as if figuring out if that figure was the ruler of the territory. He had an enormous creepy energy, the aura around his body was like a symbol of Yin and Yang. Good or evil energy both converge within the body that can hold such great power.
Fenghuang was about to kill the Spider King, her actions came to a halt when she realized the young man had woken up from his long slumber. The last time he saw the young man he was not as tall as now, muscles were visible on his body, his face was getting more and more handsome to the size of a human. For a moment Fenghuang was silent and realized the enormous change in power.
"Is it possible for a human being to gain this much power in just a period of three years?" inwardly, even he also felt a creepy aura that had disturbed the herd of spiders. Those red eyes were sharp, making some weak spiders retreating fleeing from the Hot Falls.
He was too indifferent to check around until he did not realize that Cicak Loreng had disappeared from within the cave, leaving only his children who were only 10 years old and under. Then Fenghuang remained silent because she was so shaken.
"This rotten spider, can't see me meditating for a moment" he said with a heavier tone of voice. He stepped on the water giving rise to a small wave circle.
Xue Zhan ran after the Spider King who was in the middle of the cave. His wind steps grew faster over time, Fenghuang had seen such movements a few years ago.
"The movement ..." The bird's eyes were trying to recognize him, Xue Zhan was moving very fast and intense, but the movement pattern should have remained the same.
" ... The Clouds-Shifting Steps belonging to the Eternal Valley College?"
That Cloud Slashing Step was passed down to the Eternal Valley disciples who had to meet certain conditions. Not arbitrarily people can master the movement because of its high level.
Xue Zhan obtained the Book of Clouds Cutting Steps from the coffin found inside the cave. It took him over a year to master it until Xue Zhan could use it smoothly.
The Spider King was in front of his eyes surrounded by nine other spiders, Xue Zhan jumped up high and threw dozens of secret weapons made from the sharp bones of Cicak Loreng that he killed.
The object stuck in the eyes of the spiders, resulting in a bigger uproar because the spiders were blind and bumped into each other. In a position above the air Xue Zhan let out a single move.
"The Phoenix Claw of Lightning."
Five green phoenix shadows appeared behind his back, they descended on the invading spiders, attacking from all sides with lightning-like speed. One by one the spiders died, some were even cut into pieces. Xue Zhan landed on the ground, facing off one on one with the Spider King who seemed to be furious to see his flock being killed just like that.
"It's not your place, you ugly spider."
A slimy mouth full of poison opened with echoing sounds, right after the Spider King walked quickly towards him about to attack. Xue Zhan crossed both hands in front of half-squatted chest.
"The Sixth Movement, the Rat of Destruction!"
The Spider King who was eyeing Xue Zhan lost his balance due to the underground shock. Something moved right under his feet and suddenly appeared.
Xue Zhan suddenly came out from underground while just standing in front of him. The Spider King was hit by a crushing blow on his jaw and bounced back against the pointy rock. But he can still stand.
The giant black spider was furious beyond measure, he summoned another spider that directly obeyed the King to destroy Xue Zhan. The spider that had once messed up the entire cave and killed the flock of birds turned to attack Xue Zhan simultaneously.
You could say there are about forty spiders the smallest size like deer are eyeing towards him. The largest can even reach the size of one house, the king himself. Xue Zhan retreated for a moment, dashing into a stone pillar chased by the demons.
"We'll see if he can defeat all the spiders alone" said Fenghuang, feeling a little amused watching the fight in front of him.
