Chapter 69 Party

The party held for Grand Duke Faust was quite majestic. Lots of party parties. The party decorations are also very beautiful. 

Leticia and Charlotte are in charge of the party this time. Braun asked the two of them to arrange this party. Leticia doesn't want the party to celebrate Gerald's achievement to go awry. He watches over Charlotte, but there's nothing strange.

Leticia recalled the information Rose had given her earlier. 

"The Nien family servant who knows Braun and Charlotte's secret has been silenced for good. I went to the waiter who gave me the information first, but he was dead. It seemed, once it was discovered that the servant who leaked the information was Marquis Nien or Charlotte killing them."

Leticia clenched her hands. Looks like his plan to convince Judith wasn't easy. However, Leticia still had many ways to break Braun and Charlotte's relationship. The medicine that left her barren was not solid evidence, but at least Judith could believe that her father had bad intentions for her mother.

The main characters in this party came. Everyone's eyes were on him. There was a look of fear because it did not want bad deeds to be revealed, there was also a look of wanting to establish cooperation with him. He wears black clothes. 

Grand Duke Faust gave his greetings to the Emperor and the Empresses. Leticia gave him a quick look. He did not want people to be suspicious of their relationship.

Since the main character in the party had already come, the Emperor immediately opened this party. He raised the wine glass.

"Let's toast to Grand Duke Faust's achievement."

All the nobles present toast. Braun toast Gerald and drank. 

Dance begins. Braun danced with Leticia first. Gerald who had no partner moved away from there and took some food. He didn't want to see Braun and Leticia dance. Gerald hopes to be the first to dance with Leticia.

Judith watched her parents dance. She wants to be her mother who is good at dancing.

Dean's standing guard outside. Rose accidentally meets him, eventually accompanying him. Dean glanced at the person next to him.

"You don't need to accompany me, Palace Mage Leader. Enjoy the party."

"I don't have a job. So waiting here is better."

Rose felt she would be more useful here. It can freeze the feet of suspicious people easily, so they can catch it more easily. He had also prepared an illusion to help Leticia.

Dean sighed, but he did not feel disturbed by Rose's existence. They spent time standing by while observing suspicious people until the end of the party.

Isabella headed to one of the balconies. He held the edge of the balcony while sighing long. He dodged the crowd of male nobles who approached him. It was exhausting coming to the party. This was the first time he had been to a party after so long. 

"You look tired, Countess."

Isabella turned to the source of the voice. He immediately smiled.

"I heard that the Witch Leader of the Tower never came to the party held in the palace."

"That's the story first. There's no way I'm leaving you alone here with a lot of wolves who want you."

Isabella chuckles. Dale extended his hand, inviting Isabella to dance. Isabella is shocked, but accepts Dale's helping hand.

They began to dance with the music in the party hall which was heard up to the balcony.

"I didn't think you could dance" Isabella said.

"Of course you can, because I learned it," Dale replied proudly.

"Recent or old? Because of me or Leticia?" ask Isabella.

"What did Rose tell you? You're the one who can't keep a secret" Dale grumbled.

"I don't want to answer."

Dale turned his face away. Isabella smiled, knowing what the answer was. 

"All Leticia's preparations for meeting with Master are ripe, right?" Isabella diverted the conversation.

Dale looked back at Isabella with his smile. "Rose has prepared it. I've also installed another magic so that no one suspects them."

"Good then."

They dance to the end. They both laughed and joked. They hope that this peace can last a long time.

Charlotte is dancing Braun. Gerald left the hall. There were people following him, Braun and Charlotte's man. Gerald went to the palace garden to have a look. The man kept watching him. He would report every move of Gerald to his master.

All of those were illusions that Rose had prepared. Gerald went to where Leticia had asked. He waited for Leticia on the balcony, impatient to meet her.

Leticia left the party without anyone noticing. He went to see Gerald. Rose had already put up an illusion as if Leticia was at a party. Leticia felt safe thanks to him.

Leticia was already in front of the balcony opening the glass door. Gerald gasped at Leticia's arrival. Leticia shut that door back. Gerald approached Leticia.

"Will you dance with me, Empress?" 

Gerald extended his hand. 

"Of course, Grand Duke." Leticia grabbed it while nodding. They both smile.

Leticia put one of her hands on Gerald's burly shoulders as she practiced frequently. The other hand held Gerald's hand. Gerald put his free hand on Leticia's back.

They both dance. Enjoy their meeting time which may only last a short time.

"What do you want to talk about, Leticia?"

"After you become Emperor, will I be your Empress, Gerald?"

Leticia spins around and is captured by Gerald. They danced like they were ready again.

"If that's what you want. I'm gonna make it happen, Leticia. I will also make your daughter the next Emperor."

"Can you wait for me? I'm gonna make Judith hate Braun. After that, you can attack the palace. I don't want Judith married to hate you for killing her father."

They close their heads, touch their foreheads. Feel each other's breath. 

"Just calm down, I'll be waiting for you, whenever it's, Leticia."

"Thank you, Gerald."

Leticia distanced herself, then Gerald pulled her until their bodies were close together again. One of Gerald's hands held Leticia's waist to prevent her from falling. Their faces were only a few cent away.

Actually Gerald wanted to kiss Leticia's lips, but did not do it because there would be lipstick marks on his lips. He could wipe it but, the lipstick on Leticia's lips would fade. Some people will suspect them.

Leticia kept her face away a little. Then, hug Gerald. He closed his eyes, feeling Gerald's heartbeat. He smiles. Turns out Gerald was pounding like himself.

Leticia was happy. The happiness he felt now was different from before. Then, this happiness will be more perfect with Judith who is in their midst. 

Leticia's smile disappeared instantly as she opened her eyes. Horror and fear pervaded him. He saw a figure on the open balcony door. It's busted. Even if it is discovered he hopes that this figure does not know it.
