The Queen Who Shares Love

The Queen Who Shares Love
Chapter 50 Calm After a Storm

Isabella trains Judith more carefully this time around. He doesn't want to be too hard because maybe Judith is still exhausted from kidnapping her mother a few days ago. The sound of disturbance cheering him was still heard. But he doesn't care about it.

Because he trained Judith in the palace, the existence of bullies became one more. Rose started coming at Judith's sword practice sessions. Although the real witch of the palace was silent, but her gaze made Isabella disturbed.

Isabella let Judith rest for a while. The two witches directly approached Leticia's daughter and gave her a drink and a towel.

Isabella wiped her sweat away, suddenly someone poured her water. The leader of the tower witch never gave up on Isabella. Isabella received the water because she was thirsty.

Dale was happy because it seemed like Isabella was not keeping her distance anymore. Despite that, there was actually not much information that he got from Isabella. It was not easy to tell the secret of his or Grand Duke Faust.

"There's something I want to talk to you about Judith."

Isabella turned to the source of the voice. Feeling that someone was staring at him, the person immediately turned his head.

Duke Hilbright widened his eyes. Then act like usual. Isabella stared intently at Duke Hilbright. He still could not forget the glare of the eyes that humbled him and his father. The one who kicked them out.

"It turns out Judith's sword teacher is you. Not enough to have a bad influence on my daughter, it turns out that you also have a bad influence on my granddaughter."

Judith who was near her grandfather was confused. To him his sword teacher had absolutely no bad influence. His teacher is very good.

Isabella smiled wryly. He tried to contain his anger by not saying anything.

"You better learn something else than sword, Judith," Duke Hilbright said.

"But I like to practice swords, Grandpa. Dad agreed to it too. By practicing I can become strong and be able to protect the empire," replied Judith innocently.

"There are many other ways of protecting the empire than practicing the sword, Judith."

Isabella laughs. Everyone who was there looked towards him. Dale who was closest to her was stunned.

"Why do you ban on something that is liked by others, Duke Hilbright?"

"It's none of your business, it's my family's business. I did my best for my family."

Isabella clucking. "Even the First Emperor and Empress did not dispute this. Why are you so concerned about a princess who learned to sword, Duke?"

The people who were there could sense the tension that was going on between the two of them. Duke Hilbright was the one who was feared by Rose and Dale. They did not even dare to look him in the eyes. However, Isabella dared to refute him and intended to make a fuss with him.

"Looks, you're too presumptuous Countess. You don't know your position. Your job as my grandson's teacher could be gone in an instant."

"All I can fire is the First Empress, the Emperor and the Princess, if one of them doesn't like the way I teach, Duke Hilbright."

Duke Hilbright scrunched his forehead. "Someday you'll regret it, Countess."

Duke Hilbright left that training ground. The tension felt by the people there had disappeared, they were breathing a sigh of relief. Dale and Rose looked at Isabella with admiration. Actually they were eager to fight Duke Hilbright's actions on Leticia and Judith, but they were afraid.

Judith approached Isabella slowly. He pulled Isabella's shirt. "Did Master hate grandpa?"

"Is it too visible?" Isabella was being gentle.

"If you can't see it, it means the man is blind, Countess," Rose said.

Isabella looked at Rose. Rose looked away.

"Is the teacher still angry?" judith asked doubtfully.

"Not anymore, Princess. Let's continue the exercise." Isabella reached out to Judith.

Judith accepted. "Good, Teacher."

"There's something the Empress wants to talk to you about before coming home, Countess."

At once everyone who was there felt the tension that had passed before, except Isabella. Isabella responded casually.

"All right."

***

Leticia was waiting in her room. He's still staring up at the ceiling. The sound of the door opening blew his daydream. Isabella went inside. Leticia asked Emilia to wait outside. Isabella was sitting on the spot Duke Hilbright had occupied a few minutes ago.

Leticia was confused to start the conversation. Isabella.

"Your face is so serious, Leti, what's wrong?"

"I'm sorry, Bella." It was the only thing that could come out of Leticia's mouth.

"Sorry for what? Did your father ask you to fire me for fighting with him?" ask Isabella.

Leticia tilted her head. He had no idea what Isabella was talking about.

"It turns out it wasn't that. Just tell me I'm ready to hear you."

"I don't know how to say it. I know that this is unforgivable. My father." Chief Leticia bowed..

Isabella remained silent. Leticia realizes that her father's actions are inexcusable. She was hated by Isabella again. Isabella should not have helped the child of the man who had devastated her family.

"I already know, Leti."

Leticia's eyes are breaking. He looked up at the face of his friend.

"My father also already knew that the reason the noble he was cooperating with suddenly canceled the agreement was because of your father. That's why my father came to your father for the last time asking for help and explanation. I'm mad at you because I thought you knew what your father did. Then, you closed your eyes at my request for help. Everything is a misunderstanding." Isabella lifted both shoulders.

Isabella smiled at Leticia. "I've said it before. I forgive you, Leti. Don't worry, I don't hate you at all. Your father's fault is not yours. And I'm not gonna hurt you or Judith because of your father's fault."

"Thank you, Bella." Leticia could not cover her excitement. He smiles.

Isabella stood up to Leticia. "We're best friends, right?"

"Of course."

The two friends smiled at each other. Isabella says goodbye home. He opened the door and there was a sound of falling. Rose and Dale fell on the doorstep. They eavesdrop on the doorstep while using busting magic. Rose and Dale grimace at being discovered.

"Like these two witches don't know what privacy is, Leti" Isabella said. He looked at Leticia.

"I'm sorry for their cunning, Bella," Leticia replied with a chuckle.

"I didn't know you had a nickname, Leticia," Rose replied as she stood up.

"Because I'm closer to her" Isabella replied proudly.

"But you met him recently. And you guys haven't been in touch for years. Even though you were Leticia's childhood friend, I'm not sure you knew everything about Leticia" Rose said.

"I know more about her than you do" said Isabella.

"Stop fighting in my room. You better fight outside" said Leticia annoyed.

They looked at each other and laughed. Dale who was quiet just laughed. It seemed like Leticia's old friend was really intending to help her. However, Dale was still unable to trust Grand Duke Faust completely. He still needs information from Isabella. Their closeness will be used.
