Chapter 8

Gerald's thoughts were floating in the air. It's been a week since the exam was over. He had returned to Bender's residence to wait for the results of the test.

The young man was getting tired of his days whose work was just daydreaming. That's new to Gerald. Usually he did not mind her who could only daydream. But now he's bored.

In the Bender residence he could not use magic. Although she could use magic, she could not sharpen it because of her mother's rules.

"Young master, big lady calls you,"

Gerald raised his head and looked at Berner before him. He looked at the old man with a lethargic look.

"Can't he just come here?"

Gerald cupped his face. The young man did not want to meet Katarine, his mother. He would not step out of the room into his mother's room from end to end.

If only he could teleport, perhaps he would happily meet his mother. However, what power he is unable to.

Gerald let out a long breath. With a lazy feeling, he stepped foot into his mother's room. However, when he came out of the room, the young man instead passed Arnold who was visiting his residence.

"Hah~why did I meet a tramp here?" moaning Arnold.

Gerald ignored his uncle's words. He was too lazy to reply. He kept his foot up without even looking at Arnold.

"Oh, tumben is silent. Did you admit defeat?"

Arnold followed Gerald from behind. The man continued to babble and ridicule Gerald. He just kept telling the young man a tramp.

"Can you shut up for a moment? I'm too lazy to answer you, '" said Gerald.

"No, I'll keep mocking you."

Arnold stuck out his tongue. Truly, a childish man, thought Gerald. Yeah, that's the real nature of Arnold the savior of the city. He always acted childishly to his family, but acted mature and pretentious before others.

To be honest, every time he saw his uncle acting inversely proportional to his usual self, Gerald felt nauseous. He always wanted to puke looking at Arnold like that.

"Can you walk fast?"

Gerald and Arnold gasped in shock at Katarine's echoing voice. Suddenly, the two of them turned their eyes and saw Katarine who was standing at the door waiting for them.

Gerald could only smile awkwardly. He could feel that his mother was angry. I don't know what made him angry.

Quickly, Gerald and Arnold entered Katarine's room.

"You guys have been a long time. Did you guys fight again?" ask Katarine.

Gerald and Arnold fell silent. No one dared to answer the question of the lioness. If they answered wrongly, it would be the last day for them.

Although Gerald and Arnold were always at odds, when it came to Katarine they would make peace for a while. The two men will work together so as not to be scolded by Katarine.

"No, I was just asking about the exam yesterday" Arnold said.

The man's feet were trembling. His forehead was filled with cold sweat. His hands were wet with sweat. He was really scared by his sister's gaze.

Katarine squinted her eyes. Actually he knew that his younger brother was lying, but he ignored it because it was not his main problem.

The woman was more curious about Gerald's exam results. He could no longer bear the lazy young man. He wanted to quickly send her to the Alphrolone dormitory in order to rest in peace.

Katarine had even thought about leaving Gerald in an orphanage if he wasn't accepted into Alphrolone's school.

"So, did Gerald's test result come out?" ask Katarine.

"The announcement was the day after, right?" gerald was confused.

"I know, but Arnold was the teacher there. What's wrong with digging up information from insiders."

Arnold shook his head. It seems like her brother is already very frustrated to want to get Gerald out of the house.

"Just wait two more days" Arnold said.

"Cannot. Let Gerald get ready. So on the day of the announcement, he was leaving." Katarine cut him off.

"Sadly, I don't feel welcome here" Gerald said, wiping his waterless eyes.

Katarine and Arnold stared at the young man. At any rate, he was no longer welcome there. He was already quite troublesome with only staying for 16 years.

"Hufft~ actually I'm lazy to announce it with my own mouth. But, he escaped. The day after tomorrow he can stay in the dorm."

Katarine shouted in excitement. His voice was resounding and quite loud. Harmin, surprised by his wife's voice, rushed to his room and asked what was going on.

"Lusa Gerald will leave the house" Katarine said with excitement.

Gerald who saw his uncle was lethargic for not being able to rejoice together, laughed it off in his heart. The young man curses Arnold and vows to keep harassing him at school.

"I wish I hadn't met you on your first day of school."

Arnold left Katarine's room. The man left Gerald with his parents who were still happy to hear the news of his departure.

"How do we have a party tomorrow?" advice Harmin.

Katarine nodded her head, while Gerald who was behind Katarine shook his head disapprovingly.

Harmin smiles happily and calls Berner to prepare for the party tomorrow. Gerald let out a long breath. Now he really felt neglected in this house. Really, having a party for his departure? Really ridiculous.

In a green forest, a group of deer are eating delicious grass. The atmosphere there seemed calm and peaceful. The sound of birds singing makes the atmosphere of the forest more comfortable.

However, the peace was disturbed by the appearance of a person wearing a robe covering his face right in the middle of the deer crowd. The surprised deer, running around left the figure alone.

With a tosca-colored light still enveloping his body, the figure walked down the forest towards an abandoned hut. The figure entered it while opening the hood of his robe.

"You're Hugo back?"

A voice surprised the figure. He turned around and found a woman in her beautiful white dress looking at him. Looks like that woman was waiting for Hugo earlier.

Hugo took off his robe and hung it near the entrance. The man took a long breath. His face described fatigue. He leaned against a sofa that was already very broken. The foam has been everywhere.

"You know, this year's participants are really interesting."

The woman who was Hugo's partner put herself in front of the man. He sat cross-legged in front of him, waiting for the continuation of Hugo's story.

"They are very strong. I think we'll be launching our plans soon" Hugo said.

The woman in front of Hugo gulped her saliva with great difficulty. His blue sea-colored eyeballs lit up brightly. Tosca-colored light began to envelop his body.

Hugo who saw that instantly held his comrade's head. Smiling at the man, he said, "Not yet, Tanaya. It's not time for you to go berserk. We're waiting for the right time."

After saying that, Hugo's gray-colored eyeballs also lit up brightly. Reminds us of a mysterious figure who was observing the entrance exams of Alphrolone school at that time.

Hugo got up from his seat and walked towards the robe he had hung near the door. The man took it and stepped out of the hut. With a calm voice yet able to make my feathers stand up, he said, "It's time to hunt"

The man left Tanaya alone and went deer hunting for dinner tonight. Armed with only a small dagger, the black-haired gray man managed to catch 7 large deer.

Hugo smiled proudly. He was about to move the deer in his quarry to the hut with his magic. However, before he could do so, he heard a noisy voice approaching him.

The man immediately hid in a nearby place. Before long, look at some people in white uniforms. Hugo could clearly see an emblem draped in their uniform. He knows very well where the emblem is.

Without taking the results of his hunt, Hugo immediately went to his residence with an anxious face. The man looked frightened after seeing those people.

"Tanaya, we have to get out of here, right away" Hugo shouted.

The flustered Tanaya could only be speechless looking at Hugo who had come suddenly.

"We changed the plan, we can't stay here any longer" Hugo explained as he packed his things.

"What are we gonna do?" tanaya asked as she looked at Hugo who was pacing in front of her.

After finishing packing his belongings, Hugo held onto Tanaya's hand and said, "We're going to look for a master," and the two disappeared because of Hugo's teleportation magic.

A few seconds after they disappeared, the door of the hut was smashed by a group of people in white uniforms that Hugo saw in the forest.

They walked around the hut, looking for the presence of Hugo and Tanaya who had just left.

Someone who seemed to be the leader of the horde barged in. He glanced to the right and to the left.

"It seems like they haven't been long gone, hurry up and find them. I don't want any more failures."

All the men in white uniforms were running out at the man's command. While grinning, the person with red hair said, "Let's see how much longer you guys are going to last?"

A red colored light began to envelop the man. However, in contrast to the light of Hugo and Tanaya, the light of the man looked dark and looked dangerous.

The man stepped his foot out of the hut. After taking a few steps forward, a huge stone fell from the sky and destroyed the hut.

A satisfied and proud smile was painted on the man's face. The scar on his cheek seemed to shrink so wide that the man's smile. With a flick of a finger, the huge rock that destroyed the old hut disappeared and left the rubble of the already destroyed house.

"Time to.hunt. My old friend" said the man accompanied by his eerie laughter.
