Wizarding world. For some people it may be a mortal thing or just a myth. There can be no magic in this world. Have you ever heard of Mantauna? A beautiful and peaceful land of magic.
That's where a young man named Gerald Bender lived. The young man with his straight brown hair lived in a magical world with his parents.
His father, Harmin Bender, was a prominent man in the city. He is a prominent doctor whose name has been widely plastered in magazines and newspapers. Her mother, Katarine Fruinder, was the second child of a noble in East Mantauna.
Just hearing that we can already imagine how rich Gerald is. Luxurious house, dozens of servants working, as well as....
"You're not our real son."
...the bitter truth.
Honestly, he was very disappointed, sad, and also upset. Upset because her life was like a silly drama she had just watched. His mood is completely destroyed now.
Gerald sat pensively in the garden of his house. Staring at his greenery a sight he had seen for hours. Accompanied by Berner, his most loyal butler and the most annoying person he thinks he is.
"Do you know this, Berner?" ask Gerald.
The old man just nodded his head in silence. Gerald let out a long breath. Of course, because I was lazy to think. As long as you know, Gerald really doesn't like to think about complicated things. He likes simple things.
"Am I poor now?" ask him to yourself.
Really.narrow thinking. Can you get a little emotional? You just found out that the parents who took care of you for years were not your real parents.
"Then what should I do? Running away from home with tears? That's troublesome. I just want to live well."
"Young master? Have you lost your mind?" ask Berner.
Gerald looked at him pushyly. He took a long breath again. The young man really did not know what he should do now. Whether he should get out of the house and become a vagabond or stay in that magnificent house by shouldering the facts.
His head is about to explode now. He began to think, what was the purpose of his parents giving that fact now? Is it because they're waiting for Gerald to be old enough? Or maybe....
"They want to kick me out of the house?" Gerald cupped his face. He looks like Munch's painting 'Scream'.
"It's good to know."
Gerald turned his head and found his father smiling happily. The young man hated his smile. The man seemed to be laughing at his suffering.
"Haha-I just found out that you're a very honest person" Gerald said.
"I'm always honest" Harmin replied.
"Not with me."
Harmin laughed softly at that. Yah~it wasn't entirely his fault. He was just following his wife's orders.
"So, am I a tramp now?" ask Gerald.
Harmin shook his head. The man gave her an envelope which she took from her magic bag.
"What'sthis? Was I given a home?"
Gerald opened the envelope excitedly, thinking it was a home ownership letter. Unfortunately, reality is not as good as drama. The content of the brown envelope was the magic school registration form.
Gerald looked at the letter in disappointment. He slowly turned his head and saw his father smiling happily.
"Yes, I gave you a place to stay. If you go in there, you can stay in their dorm."
Harmin patted the young man's shoulder slowly and stood up from his seat to leave Gerald. Back, Gerald let out a long sigh. He really is like a loser.
"Oh, you can still use my surname if you want to sign up" Harmin said before actually leaving Gerald.
"And you were called by your mother."
This time Harmin completely left Gerald still pensive. For 16 years he had never attended a public school. The young man only studied at home, like other rich children.
Gerald looked back at the form. Well~there's no harm in trying. After all he was now just a bum with a respectable family title.
Gerald filled out the form carefully. Write name, date of birth, gender, type of magic.....
"Magic type? What'sthat?"
"Magic type is your magic form young master" Berner replied.
"Then what kind of magic are you?" ask Gerald
Berner answered his young master's question by exposing the whirlpool floating in his palm.
"Are there examples of other types of magic?" ask Gerald again.
The young man had only heard this time that there was some kind of magic. He had never learned in depth about magic at home. He was just studying manners and it bored him.
"There's a kind of elemental magic, a controller, a builder and more" Berner replied happily.
"Controllers? Whatisit? Is it the kind of magic they can control the mind or something?"
Berner nodded his head in response to his young master's question. Gerald clucked in admiration. He knew that magic had many types.
"Then, what kind of magic am I?"
Gerald wondered at himself. He never tried his magic, either inside the house or outside the house. His mother did not allow him to use magic in the home environment. He also doesn't know why.
"Hah~I'll just ask mom."
Gerald got up from his seat and walked into the house to look for his mother.
...****************...
Ah~bright weather, perfect day to relax. Katarine sipped her warm tea. He's very happy. Because what? Because soon Gerald will be out of the house.
"Mwahahaha~"
Katarine's satisfied laughter echoed in one room. It seemed like he was really happy that his only child would leave his comfortable residence.
For years Katarine had told Gerald to go to public school. But what did the young man say?
"No, I'm comfortable here" said the brunette when she was 13.
In fact, Katerine had thought of moving to the city with her family and left her luxurious mansion. Butwhat? Gerald canceled all of his property contracts by pretending to be him and calling the property agent. Unfortunately, the property agent approved the cancellation without any refund.
If you remember all of those things, Katarine's head seemed to break. He could no longer take care of the child. Although he really loves his only child, but this is the time for the young man to live independently. It starts with dropping a fact bomb about the origin of his birth.
BRAKKK~
The door of the room slammed very hard. Who did? Who else if not Gerald. She was the only person who could slam the door in Katarine's lounge.
"Mother, said your father calling me. I also happen to have something to ask you" said Gerald.
Katherine was used to this. The woman was still casually sipping her tea. Given that the young man in front of her would soon be out of the house and there would be no more door breaks, Katarine again smiled happily. What a very anticipated moment. Just thinking about it made him happy.
"What do you want to ask my son?'
Gerald scrunched his forehead confused. Just this time he heard his mother talk like that. Usually, he was just babbling all day on a high note. However, the young man did not bother and handed his registration form in front of his mother.
"What kind of magic am I?" ask Gerald straight to the point.
"Hmmm~type of magic huh? I don't know either because you never showed it. Can you control fire, water, air, earth, or light?" ask Katarine.
Gerald shook his head.
"Can you control other people's minds, space, bodies, or things around?"
Gerald shook his head again.
"Can you make weapons, vehicles, or buildings with magic?"
Gerald paused for a moment and shook his head afterwards.
"Can you bring something out of your hand?"
Gerald nodded happily, but immediately shook his head again. Katarine frowned and asked, "You mean?"
"It was like when I was a kid I could turn up a thread, but I forgot what it was like" Gerald said firmly.
Katarine took a long breath. He immediately told his son to write a maker for his kind of magic temporarily. After all he signed up with the name Bender and the family were all owners of this type of magic maker.
"It's my turn, right?"
Gerald nodded in agreement, but he was still busy filling out his registration form.
"It's about your real parents,"
