"Hugo is gone."

Harmin's eyes were wide open. The man could not help but be surprised to hear Louise's words. Meanwhile, Katarine frowned confusedly in response. She had no idea who Hugo was and why her husband was so shocked.

Katarine was eager to ask her husband directly, but she was so afraid to open her voice in front of the angry lion.

"W-how could you be sir. We've installed protectors around the Praesidium forest" Harmin said.

Louise remained silent. The man's eyes stared intently at Harmin. His eyeballs were red, shining brightly, and his magic light was again surrounding his body.

"Sir Harmin, I would never come here if you did your job right."

Harmin shuddered in horror. Louise's voice buzzed horribly in her ears. The red-colored magic light seemed to want to devour him. Without him noticing, he was already kneeling before the man.

Katarine, shocked by her husband's actions, immediately tried to defend her by saying,

"S-my husband has really worked hard sir. Isn't there a chance they have....."

"Mrs Katarine," Louise cut.

The man turned to look at Katarine sharply.

"Do you want to test my patience?" tanyakanya.

Quickly, Katarine shook her head. How could he possibly dare to fight a great magician like him. To look him in the eyes he did not dare.

Katarine shut her mouth. She didn't have the guts to defend her husband anymore. The woman could only kneel beside her husband asking forgiveness from his master.

"I warned you and your friends, Sir Harmin. Hugo is the key to finding my beloved brother. If he's lost, or until it falls into the hands of those fools...."

Louise crouched down in front of the husband and wife. He clutched Harmin's shoulder so tightly that the man cried out in pain.

"It is only death that awaits you, Sir Harmin."

Katarine's body trembled violently at the screams of her husband. He can't do anything. He had not thought of a reason to appease the monster.

"Please your generosity, sir. We will soon find Mr. Hugo" Berner said suddenly.

The old man could not bear to see the person he had served since 20 years ago, being tormented just like that. She already considers Harmin and Katarine like her own children.

"Ah, Berner, the faithful servant of the Bender family. I forgot you were here. How are you?"

Louise turned her eyes away from Harmin. The man walked towards Berner and shook his hands kindly. At least that's what happened at first. Because soon after, Louise clasped the old man's hand so tightly that Berner frowned in pain.

"Did you forget I was your superior, Sir Berner Kressarron? Have you forgotten who gave your family an honorary title?" louise said, which sounded like a warning.

"Today you are quite lucky ladies and gentlemen. I'll give you one more chance to find Hugo and his partner, Tanaya. I've been kind enough to keep you alive, considering you're my old friends. But, if you can't find him and I can't meet my sister because of you, then I won't hesitate to finish you off. Do you understand ladies and gentlemen?"

Harmin and Katarine nodded their heads very tightly. They were already quite frustrated due to the pressure from Louise. They did not care anymore about the conditions put forward by the man. In any case, they would be happy to obey him because Louise had generously let them live.

Harmin and Katarine breathed a sigh of relief. Their breath that had been choked back to normal. Their bodies became weak. They were literally scared to death in front of Louise Bricht.

"I didn't realize he was back. I can't even detect his whereabouts" Harmin lamented.

Katarine nodded. Doubtfully, he asked, "Who is Hugo?" to her husband. However, without answering his wife's question, Harmin waltzed away just like that.

Before he actually left, the man said, "Now it doesn't matter who he is. We have to find it before the containers are found, otherwise we will die. I'm going to the Praesidium forest to investigate. You and Berner go into town."

Katarine nodded. Without waiting much longer, he and Berner darted straight into town looking for their long-lost friend.

After leaving the Bender residence, Louise set foot toward a city in the middle of nowhere. The city was protected with a green shield.

The man looked at the city from a distance. He recalled the times he and his family lived in the city.

He still remembers when he first went to the city market with his mother. He also still remembered the first time he was taught swordsmanship by his father. And he still remembers when he was made the head of the 2nd division soldier of the kingdom when he was 9 years old.

Who is Louise? Louise Bricht is a legend of the wizarding world. He was said to be a genius because he could master powerful magic when he was 4 years old.

He was so strong, that he could defeat all the warrior candidates and become the victor at his young age. Many people were envious of him because of his strength. In fact, his name has been engraved in history books as a famous hero.

When he was 11 years old he left Mantauna on the orders of the king, but what did he get after returning?

He received news that the central kingdom of Mantauna was attacked. The king and queen are dead. All the servants and soldiers were slaughtered. His family and the only heir to the kingdom disappeared somewhere. The entire capital was isolated with a green shield.

At that time, there was nothing Louise could do but cry. He regretted leaving his family there. He regretted that he was late to come home. He regretted having been gone for 5 years and did not know the suffering that had occurred in the central royal palace.

From there he knew that the shield was his sister's doing. His sister who is also recommended as a genius magician in the land of Mantauna.

The man walked towards the 2 statues. There it is clear that one of the statues is a statue of him when he was 11 years old and next to him is a statue of a little girl who raised her thumb.

Louise stared at the little girl's statue. The statue of the girl had the same face as the girl who was in Gerald's dream.

While stroking the statue's face, Louise said, "Where are you, Lacesca?"
