Unleashed Power

Unleashed Power
Chapter 11

The clock is at 4am, but the sky is still dark. There are still many people who comfortably sleep on their favorite mattress, but different from Lacy.

The girl had already started running around her residence. Last night, she just received word that she was accepted into Alphrolone school. To be honest, he did not believe the news. He repeatedly read the letters from the school carefully. But the content remains the same, namely 'Lacy Deandris accepted at Alphrolone school'.

It felt like Lacy was yelling, bragging about people who had once mocked her. However, he realized that his path had just begun.

The thing he could do right now was to practice before he actually entered the school dormitory.

Lacy started not focusing on her running. His head was filled with not-so-important thoughts. Unknowingly, he ran into the forest.

The forest was where Lacy usually trained with her sword. His place was not far from where he lived. Because you know for yourself, the city of Ponta is a wasted city. The city was isolated because it was surrounded by forest.

Supposedly, Lacy could easily find a way out of that forest. Every day he went to the forest, yet it seemed that this time the girl got lost.

He looked to the right and to the left. That's not where he usually trains. It seems like he went too deep into the forest.

Lacy swallowed her saliva with great difficulty. It was an unwritten rule for the citizens of Ponta not to go too deep into the forest. In fact, she had already been warned repeatedly by Aunt Cana.

Cana is the one who took care of Lacy from childhood. Since childhood, the girl does not know who her parents are, all she knows is that she has lived with her aunt Cana for a long time.

Lacy turned her body around. He intends to go back down his path, hoping he will return safely. However, a voice made his steps stop.

As if hypnotized, the girl stepped her foot toward the source of the voice. He continued walking and continued walking until he met a settlement. From a distance, Lacy could see that the settlement had been abandoned for quite a long time.

No light illuminated the settlement. There are no signs of life. Lacy was curious. Just this time he saw a settlement in the middle of the forest that he often visited. He walked down the street and watched the buildings one by one.

Apparently, Lacy's estimate was wrong. It's not just a settlement, it's a city. Although it seems like it has not been lived in for a long time, the houses there look magnificent and there is no fungus at all.

Lacy was amazed, only this time did she see such a building. He begins to wonder why the city was abandoned, but everything looks fine in Lacy's eyes.

Until he found a sight that made his mouth gap wide.

...****************...

On the other hand, Gerald, who was unable to sleep due to a party last night, was pacing back and forth in the garden of his residence. It's been almost an hour that he's been like that.

Now, the clock is showing at 5 a.m. It's still a long time for him to get ready to go to Alphrolone's dormitory. There's still about 10 hours left. The young man could not sleep, but did not know what to do.

Finally, the young man remained pacing back and forth until Berner who was just preparing to start the day, approached him.

"Do you need anything, young master?"

Gerald ignored the old man's question. As a result, Berner could only sit idly by waiting for his master to rule him.

A few minutes passed, and Gerald was still pacing back and forth. The clock shows at 6:30 a.m. It was time for everyone in the Bender residence to get some activity.

Harmin, who had just come out of his room, found Gerald pacing in the garden, could only be astonished. He was tired of the party last night. The man shook his head and continued his steps towards the dining room.

And so did Katarine. The woman could only shake her head when she saw the young man who became a burden was pacing back and forth. However, he didn't care much about it. He was already quite happy with the fact that Gerald was leaving today.

"What time is it now?" ask Gerald to Berner.

Berner took his pocket watch. The old man did like something old. He loves antiques, he even collects them.

"It's half 7 in the morning, sir. Do you want breakfast?"

Gerald shook his head and sauntered away leaving the old man of his family's butler. With steady steps, the young man left the Bender residence.

"I'll go to town for a second. I'll be back when I move into the dorm. Until I get back, don't look for me" Gerald said as he ran away.

Berner, who saw his young master leave in a hurry, could only fall silent. He was already very used to the attitude of his young master who was always random. The old man turned around and entered the residence. There is still a lot of work waiting for him.

He only needed to think about the visual form of the thing he wanted to create and cast a spell. It's easy and obvious to Gerald who doesn't like complicated things.

Gerald kept running and running. The distance between his home and the city is quite far. Usually he would use the carriage or magic portal in his house to get to the city. But, this time he did not use that transportation. Maybe he was too excited.

Some time passed, the city was already visible in front. The young man quickened his pace until he could see a handsome man in glasses was busy cleaning the front yard of his shop.

"Alven!!!!" call him.

Alven was shocked and turned his head towards the source of the sound. There he can see Gerald who is panting because he ran away. The young man's sweat poured down the ground.

"What's the morning you came here?" ask Alven in amazement. The problem is, the shop has not been opened. There's no reason for Gerald to be in such a hurry.

With a dull breath, the young man said, "I want to practice,"

"Can't."

Gerald's body was petrified on the spot. He did not expect to hear an unexpected answer from the man.

"Why?" ask Gerald in a clear tone.

"The room hasn't been prepared. We just opened up, son. Why did you come so early anyway?"

Yes, Alven himself was confused as to why the young man was so excited. He thinks he's too much. Rarely are there witches who really like to practice. If they want to practice, they will show a lethargic face. Alven had often met witches like that, so he began to hesitate to start his business.

"It's okay, I can help you clean up. Then I'll go in."

Gerald sauntered away leaving the pensive Alven staring at him away. Alven rolled his eyeballs. From the beginning he already knew that the young man was very difficult to deal with, but the drawback was that he was too easy to fool. Oh, is that an advantage? At least Gerald's flaws could be exploited by Alven.

"Boss, yesterday's orange box I've placed in each of the dimensions. Two boxes in the right room, two boxes in the left room, and 7 boxes in the middle room. Is there any more work I need to do?"

Noya appears with her lesion face. It seems that the woman did not sleep for quite a long time. He gave his job check to his boss who was still trying to clean the front yard.

Alven took it with pleasure. The man smiled proudly at Noya. His subordinates always did a very good job.

"All right, you can rest. I'll take care of the rest."

Noya nodded her head and stepped her achy legs towards the employee break room. Alven continued his work.

Meanwhile, in the leftmost dimension, Gerald was running while picking up the scattered items. The young man actually practiced while cleaning the room.

Actually, Gerald was beginning to regret his choice. He remembered that the room was very large. He began to doubt that he would be able to practice magic that day as well.

Finally, he decided to stop cleaning the room and started picking up the practice dolls. With great difficulty, the young man dragged the hefty exercise doll into the middle of the room.

"I think it's enough here."

Gerald retreated backwards while still looking at the practice doll. He measured the right distance to start training. After feeling enough, the young man immediately sighed softly. Before long, a yellow light appeared covering him.

While pointing towards the doll, the young man said, "Thread Maker Activated: Thread Lance".

Threads began to emerge from the young man's fingers. They quickly rushed towards the puppet. The threads were as sharp as a spear. In an instant, they were able to make the practice doll almost crumble.

Just barely. Seeing that Gerald looked disappointed, yet he did not despair. He restored the puppet to its original state using a box-shaped machine that floated behind it.

The young man pressed the button above which read restored. A few seconds later, the training doll, whose chest had hollowed out due to Gerald's magic, recovered to its original state.

"Alright, let's start again" he said with confidence.
