Chapter 7

The day has changed the night. All participants were sent home to rest. Gerald has returned to his room. The young man looked at the moon outside the window.

"Wah~I just found out you're a very melancholy person," seduced Mage.

Gerald ignored him and kept staring at the bright moon. Gerald was a melancholy boy. He always loved to see the beautiful scenery. It's a shame he can't string words together. If he could, he might be a poet.

"What the hell was that?"

Gerald looked at Emil who asked. The young man looked at his friend blankly. To be honest, he didn't know what he was thinking. But, I don't know why he always likes to daydream to look at beautiful scenery.

The young man smiled faintly. He is feeling happy now. I don't know what he's thinking. Maybe he really has gone crazy for being kicked out of the house.

"Aah!!!!!" shout Gerald.

Emil, Mage, and Ladon were shocked by it. They stared at Gerald's astonishment as he ruffled his hair in frustration. The young man started to bite his fingernails.

"Has he gone mad?" mummified Mage.

Gerald started to surround his room. He felt frustrated thinking about something. It could be seen from the look on his face that he was completely screwed up right now.

Emil, Mage, and Ladon exchanged glances. In their minds, they wanted to throw away the brown-haired young man into the river for him to be calmer. Gerald's been so upset about the quiet tonight.

The night where everyone was tired from the exam and wanted to rest, was interrupted by the frustrated cry of a young man. Emil could only wait anxiously if one of the participants came to their room to protest.

"Can you guys calm down a little bit?"

The sound of a bang on the bedroom door shocked Gerald. The young man paused for a moment and turned his gaze towards his friend. There, he could see Emil who was putting on a wry smile.

"Sorry" said Gerald.

The young man took a long breath. He feels guilty now. He stepped onto his bed and sat quietly facing his friends.

"What's wrong with you?" ask Emil to worry.

"I'm..."

Emil, Mage, and Ladon waited enthusiastically for Gerald to say.

"I forgot to look at Arnold's expression. I should have been able to boast in front of him earlier. Arrgghh~" said Gerald as he ruffled his hair again.

Emil and Mage switched to make a face that did not care. Of course that's what Gerald thought. The young man was too simple to think of complicated things. There's no way he's frustrated because of anything serious.

The three friends of Gerald let out long sighs and went to their respective beds. They're tired and don't want to deal with Gerald's weirdness anymore.

"Who? How do you want to sleep?" ask Gerald.

"It's almost midnight. You sleep too. Tomorrow there's still a test" Mage said.

Gerald growled in annoyance. He doesn't want to sleep now. After all, he had already advanced for the test. Tomorrow is just a test for participants who have not advanced, while those who have been, are free to go anywhere.

The young man took his foot out of the room. He went to surround the school. Well, that young man is indeed lacking in work. So it's time to find a job. Whatisit? Make trouble. Mwehehe~

"Hah~Beautiful view tonight," exclaimed Mao.

The girl was walking in the Alphrolone school park. Together with her friend Lacy, the girl surrounded the park with a feeling of pleasure. He has been wanting to go there for a long time.

Alphrolone's school garden is famous for its beauty. The garden was meticulously created by the Magician Builder of the school. The beautiful flowers there are also the result of hard work from the students.

Since childhood, Mao was very fond of plants. Either because of her magic in the form of a bush, or because from a small she helped her mother to take care of the flowers. Whatever it was, he really liked to learn about plants.

"Mao, how much longer are you going around? I'm tired, I'm going to sleep" said Lacy.

Lacy loved her only friend. He always wanted to go accompany Mao. The girl acted as a bodyguard beside her. A very reliable friend.

"Wait a minute" replied Mao.

Lacy breathed. He's really exhausted now. From the beginning of the exam, he was unfocused because he was already too tired.

Before long, there was a noise from the bushes near them. Lacy swiftly protected Mao and put the horses ready to attack.

The two girls waited with anxious feelings. The thing is, they were afraid it was a Beast. However, they can breathe freely. Because what came was Gerald.

"Oh, what are you doing here?" gerald asked as he walked closer to the two of them.

"What are you doing here yourself?" lacy ketus.

Lacy put on a face like she wanted to vomit after hearing Gerald say. That girl has met a lot of seductive men like Gerald. The right answer for such a man is to ignore him.

Lacy pulled Mao's hand to leave the young man. He doesn't want to deal with people like him.

"Who? Are you leaving already? We just met you,"

Gerald followed the two girls from behind as he continued to babble. The young man unceasingly called out Lacy's name and told her to stop.

The fed-up Lacy turned her back and shouted to keep Gerald quiet. His actions managed to make the young man silent. However, it also managed to make him speechless.

As she turned around, Lacy could clearly see that there was a Beast standing behind Gerald with its drool dripping. Gerald didn't seem to realize there was a monstrous figure behind him.

Lacy swallowed her saliva with great difficulty. He currently does not have his sword. He realized that his strength was not enough to fight a Beast with his bare hands.

Gerald looked at Lacy who was suddenly speechless. The girl's eyes were on her back. Slowly, the young man twisted his body and saw a large figure covering his gaze.

After understanding the situation, the handsome young man could only laugh awkwardly in front of the figure. A bear-like Beast with a large body roared very loudly, making Gerald almost fly because of the wind from his mouth.

"Wow, your mouth stinks. You haven't brushed your teeth yet?" kanda Gerald's.

Was the young man not afraid? Of course he's scared. Both of his legs were shaking very violently. He was the person closest to the Beast. I can tell he's the first one to eat.

In that short time, he cursed himself for wandering around in the middle of the night and not sleeping. On the other hand, he cursed the Alphrolone school for not installing the protector properly.

"What are you doing? Run from there right now."

A very clear voice rang out in Gerald's ear. The young man turned to face Lacy. He thought the girl said it. But, the voice in his ears more like the voice of a man than the voice of a girl.

Gerald shrugged his shoulders and looked back at the Beast in front of him. The young man floated his beautiful smile hoping it would ease the creature's anger. But, it didn't work. It even makes the Beast rampage and try to catch Gerald.

Gerald's reflexes were less rapid than that figure. He was almost arrested and made into a meal if only no one helped him.

A man who was quite familiar to Gerald. The young man put on his lazy face after seeing the man's blindfold which was very annoying to him.

"Sir Arnold!" mao and Lacy shouted at the same time.

The two girls ran up to Arnold and Gerald. Now they could sigh in relief because there was already someone who would help them. Moreover, that person was a famous strong person.

"Oh, I thought you'd let me die at the hands of the beast" said Gerald.

The young man really didn't like the idea of thanking that annoying guy.

"Shall I throw you in his mouth again?"

Gerald looked at Arnold pushyly. The joke is not funny. How can a teacher say that? It's heartless.

"It's your own fault, why are you out at this hour? Already, you guys go back to the room. Let me take care of this."

Arnold jumped straight at the Beast and finished him off with a single slash. The animal's blood splashed everywhere, including towards Gerald who was still there watching Arnold.

Lacy and Mao had already gone to her room leaving the young man. Actually Lacy didn't care whether the young man followed them back to the hostel or not. The most important thing for Lacy is that she and Mao are safe and able to rest.

"Oh, are you still here? I thought you were spooked, "Snouted Arnold.

"Haha-what funny. Without you, I could've wiped out the Beast."

Arnold nodded his head lazily. He raised his hands to chest level and let out a sea-blue colored light. The man raised the blood of the Beast splashed with his magic.

Arnold moved the creature's blood into a bottle tied around his waist. Afterwards, he walked up to Gerald who was still staring at him.

"Is there anything you want to talk about, son?"

Gerald rolled his eyes irritated. The young man cleared his throat and said, "Today I won,"

Arnold frowned in wonder. The man did not understand what his beloved nephew meant.

"My performance was quite satisfying in the exam today. I won and I can use magic. I'll prove to you that I can enter this school" Gerald said, pointing at Arnold's face.

Gerald turned around and put his foot away from the man. A smile of victory was painted on his face. He was very proud of himself who managed to say that in front of his arrogant uncle.

Meanwhile, Arnold who saw Gerald had already moved away, suddenly laughed out loud. In between his laughter, the man said, "Oh~my sweet niece. Did you forget I'm also a teacher here?"

Arnold wiped away the tears in his eyes from laughing too loosely.

"I can make you unacceptable, young man. Wahahahaha~"

Arnold's evil laughter graced the night and closed the day in exhaustion.
