THE SAVIOR'S

THE SAVIOR'S
CHAPTER 2 A PICTURE OF THE FUTURE

Ethan looked in surprise at Dylan for not understanding what was coming out of Dylan's mouth. Special abilities, different hands, meteor shards that accidentally saved him and gave him the name God’s Blessing. Ethan really doesn't understand the many oddities that come to him at the same time.

“A-I still don't understand, Dylan. Wh-what does he mean by hell-“ Ethan quickly stops his speech when a memory appears in his mind. His memory of turning back three days ago saw the shadow of a woman who would become the savior of the world appear in his mind.

“E-Ethan??” ask Dylan worried. “A-are you okay? What the hell's going on? Did you see anything else, Ethan?”

Panicked Dylan sees Ethan speechless and holds his head immediately toward his best friend. Meanwhile. . . Ethan who recalls the vision he saw before finally falling asleep for a few days looks back at the shadow of a girl with a red stick in his left hand. Ethan sees the figure of the girl standing up by raising her right hand forward, trying to make a protector for the tsunami waves that come due to a nuclear explosion that fell in the middle of the ocean.

“. . . Ethan!” Dylan yelled out Ethan's name for the umpteenth time after repeatedly not getting a response from his best friend. Dylan, who is near Ethan's body, is forced to shake Ethan's body to get a response from him.

However. .the shock given by Dylan did not succeed in making Ethan stop seeing the terrible sight of a girl who stood with confidence while making a protector to protect the many people behind him. Ethan could clearly see many people behind the girl scurrying around to try to save themselves. Ethan could only gape at the horrifying sight again.

Run, Savior!

Ethan yells a warning to the girl. But the scream that came out from inside his mouth did not make a sound as if his voice was swallowed by the void.

Save yourself, Savior!

Ethan who still did not give up trying again shouted a warning to the girl. But then again, the scream that came out from inside his mouth did not make a sound.

“Ethan, what is the distance of that wave with the mainland??”

From where he stood, Ethan who saw the girl's back then heard the girl's figure calling his name from the transmission device attached to his right ear.

“Although you repeatedly told me to go save myself, I won't go, Ethan. It's myjob. My choice. I am here because I chose to be the savior of this world. Now. . Tsunami waves suddenly appeared in the Indian Ocean due to a nuclear bomb that accidentally fell. If the seawater that was carrying the radiation of the nuclear bomb were to reach land what would happen to the people behind me? They're all gonna die, Ethan.”

Ethan furrowed his brows as he felt he was not talking to the figure of the girl before him at this moment. Amidst Ethan's confusion that could not understand the scene before him at the moment, the girl's figure still continued to speak to the other Ethan.

“I know you doubted me, Ethan. I know you're hesitant because more than anyone you wish I had survived. But the safety of many people is more important than the safety of me, Ethan. So. . If you want to help me now, you can do one thing, Ethan. You know very well, I'm really stupid about calculations. So tell me what height the wave is and what height should I make a protective wind? What thickness of wind protection do I have to make in order to withstand such a big wave of sea water, Ethan? Please.”

Buk.

A punch lands on Ethan's back and gets Ethan back to where he was supposed to be: in front of Dylan.

“What do you see, Ethan??” ask Dylan worried. “You were silent for a few minutes and scared me because maybe you would lose consciousness again.”

Ethan raised his head and looked at Dylan with a frightened look. Her tears slowly flowed down her eyes due to the sight she had just seen.

“. . . Ethan's? That's your tears, why did you suddenly fall??”

Dylan, who was worried about Ethan-his best friend, could only be speechless to see Ethan's expression change in a short time. “Actually what did you just see, Ethan? Did you see that girl again?”

Ethan nodded his head. “Yes, I saw it though it was unclear, Dylan.”

“Then why did you suddenly shed your tears, Ethan? Did something bad happen to that girl in your vision?”

Ethan nodded his head again a second time. “Yes, that girl was in danger when I doubted her. I who was in the future wishing for the girl to survive then doubted her choice and gave the order to her to run even though it meant that there would be many people who would die instead.” Ethan raised both his hands and then held both of Dylan's shoulders firmly. “Listen to me well! Something bad might happen in the future and for that, I have to find the girl first.”

“What would you do if you found the girl, Ethan?” ask Dylan. “You know the picture of his future that might be a nightmare for him and you still want to find him?”

Ethan clasped Dylan's shoulders tightly. “It's precisely because of that, I have to find him, Dylan. His destiny remains unchanged and to protect him, the only way is to train him. The girl was able to make a shield from the wind of a large size that might be able to withstand the massive waves of tsunamis and possibly a nuclear explosion, Dylan. That girl can control the wind, Dylan. Don't you remember our findings a few years ago?”

*

Five years ago. . .

Ethan, who is escorting researchers including Dylan, now arrives at an ancient site that has just been discovered due to the shaking of a strong earthquake. With complete equipment and a cautious attitude, Ethan and his team escort a group of researchers including Dylan to enter the ancient site.

“Ethan!” whispered Dylan.

Ethan, not far from Dylan, stopped and waited for Dylan to catch up.

“Why are you whispering, Dylan?”

“See here, Ethan!” Dylan then pointed to an engraving where a girl was standing in front of a wave of seawater that was coming closer. “Don't you feel like the image of this wave is the image of the tsunami wave?”

Etha furrowed her brows. “Create that? I'm not a researcher, Dylan. So I don't know very well the meaning of those carvings.”

“I believe the image of this wave is a picture of a tsunami wave that may come and once destroy this people. But. . Isn't it great that there was a brave woman who came and blocked the tsunami wave?”

“ Are you sure the woman blocked the tide and instead of being an offering like most stories of nations in the past who believed that disaster would come to a halt when given a life??” taunted Ethan.

“That woman's hand, look, Ethan!”

Ethan narrowed his eyes to see the woman's hand in the carving more clearly. After paying close attention, Ethan finally agrees with Dylan. “You're right, Dylan. The woman's hand is facing the direction of the incoming water wave and gives the signal to stop to the upcoming wave.”

It didn't take long for Dylan and Ethan to discover the truth of the carvings he saw. In one of the ancient tombs were found scrolls of parchment that told of the only woman in the tribe capable of controlling the wind. When a great sea wave came and was about to destroy the civilization of the tribe, the woman advanced with great courage to the front of the wave. With her ability to control the wind, the woman then made a protector from the wind and blocked the wave.
