The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 88 - Identity

"Little sister?" Xin Chen gasped as he found the Lightning Fox was also walking towards them. He was worried that Wei Feng was desperate to open the Thunder Fox robe because indeed the man was somewhat something, Xin Chen spread both his hands against Wei Feng.

"Trust me, Brother Wei. She's very, very shy."

"Hmmmm?" Wei Feng raised next to his brows. "Why can't I believe what you're saying. When fighting I don't feel like he's who you say he is."

"Bu-not that..." Xin Chen surrounded around and found the same gaze, everyone was like questioning who the figure of the Lightning Fox really was.

Usually Xin Chen always switched the topic if the Lightning Fox was alluded to, Jin Sakai had also asked her and Xin Chen had always distracted her with silly questions.

This attitude must be questioned, Wei Feng was now one voice with everyone.

In a place a little far away the Lightning Fox already knew what the people near Xin Chen were talking about, worried that the situation was getting worse instead he did not come closer and let Xin Chen clear up by himself.

"Hm? Little brother? I have never heard of Master Xin having children other than Young Master Xin Zhan and Xin Chen." Jin Sakai propped up his chin while thinking hard, remembering how many times it was. Xin Chen had no younger brother like Wei Feng said.

"Uncle Jin, you understand what I'm saying, don't you? It seems Xin Chen is hiding something from us. Chen, you can't keep lying to the villagers. Even if the person you call your sister doesn't disturb the peace of the village, but isn't it wrong to tell her who she is? Last night he helped us fight the enemy. It's also good that his name is known by the people here."

"Could anyway?"

"should." Wei Feng was unwilling to argue the longer it went. He raised his eyebrows coding for Xin Chen to reveal the identity of the figure behind the cloak hood, the man was able to see overnight how powerful the Lightning Fox was controlling the change in lightning energy. Almost flawless and pure energy is not just any use in martial arts.

In another sense, the energy has the highest level. Spitting out so much pure energy was no ordinary matter. Therefore Wei Feng put his suspicions on him.

"I don't want to say it."

"Come on... Just once Chen. I won't ask you again after this." Wei Feng realized Xin Chen was a little distracted by her question. Xin Chen scratched his nape riled up then faced Wei Feng.

"Well.... All right, if you want to know. He's my teacher."

"Huh-yes? I mean, who is he? His name or title?"

"You said you'd only ask once and I'd only answer once. There is no second answer."

Wei Feng opened his mouth wide, this was not what he meant and on the other hand he had no defense. A debate with Xin Chen did require him to lose a landslide, the boy was very good at deciding the plot of the debate.

"All right, I'm going. Take good care of yourself and the village." He waved his hand upwards while developing a small smile. The Lightning Fox passed by just like that from nearby Wei Feng, neither turning his head nor just making small talk.

The two of them moved away from the village gate slowly until there was the sound of protest in the back, "Little Devil, don't forget if you want to go to the Wei Empire I'll come with you!"

Xin Chen slightly turned his head then nodded, until finally his back disappeared at the end of the road.

*

The Lightning Fox faintly snorted for the third time, seeing Xin Chen's behavior and movements from earlier made him wantonly hit the boy's head with a wooden twig.

How not to get angry, the boy had called him several times and when he was told he did not want to talk. As a result the Lightning Fox was upset not playing and could only faintly grumble.

Along the way Xin Chen thought too much of something and wanted to say it to the Lightning Fox. But it was undone considering the fox would definitely get angry if it knew the truth.

The Lightning Fox chattered shortly afterwards, "If you don't want to say just keep it to yourself. Once again you call me and still do the same thing I won't hesitate to hang you on that tall tree" Threatened the Thunder Fox. Xin Chen shuddered in horror, if the Lightning Fox said so it was certain that he would actually do so.

"Look... If I tell you the truth, don't get mad, will you?"

"About what?"

"Spirit of Phoenix?" Xin Chen replied cautiously, no matter how long the Lightning Fox steps stopped, he glanced behind him where Xin Chen was standing in a puzzled look. There was nothing wrong with the Sky Weapon.

"That weapon isn't still safe you said three days ago? You didn't get attacked by robbers or anything like that until you lost the heirloom, did you?"

"I'm not being stolen or robbed, but this is about..."

"You left it in the Village Runaway?" The Lightning Fox cut out his sentence.

"No, Steel Phoenix-"

"Or did the heirloom sink in the river!?"

"I said it wasn't that, hais, Master Fox. At least wait until I'm done talking." Xin Chen murmured a ketus, painstakingly braving himself but always the fox origin cut off his conversation.

The Lightning Fox cleared a small thud, letting Xin Chen speak directly.

While Xin Chen pulled the sword hilt behind his back and thrust the weapon at the Lightning Fox. "You can feel the power of this sword? Just yesterday finished being forged by Uncle Jin."

The Lightning Fox was seen scouting quickly at the sword, looking around for oddities from there. Until not so long later the Lightning Fox could feel an unusual energy flowing within the sword blade.

"This power... Don't tell me you-!?"

"I forged the Steel Phoenix within this sword..."

Seconds and seconds passed quietly, Xin Chen did not know why the Thunder Fox suddenly silently did not let out its voice. Not giving his opinion as usual.

"Is something wrong?"

"After forging it like this you won't be able to return it to its original form." The Lightning Fox finally responded.

"I don't really understand, if I can't get back into shape, why?"

"Chen, don't you forget it's not the Steel Phoenix you got just next door?"

Xin Chen's eyeballs opened, he began to understand with the direction of this conversation. If indeed the high quality Phoenix Steel had fused together with the other metals in Xin Chen's sword meant that the steel could no longer be taken from there. It is mixed in and melted with the same iron as medium-quality metal ores.

"Is this going to be problematic? Shit, know that from the beginning I'll think before forging it." Xin Chen regretted his actions.

"You're basically happy to move as you see fit. There's nothing wrong with that" the Lightning Fox said calmly. "And this won't cause any problems. Merely, the original strength of the Steel Phoenix will probably decrease if you fuse it with the other metals. That's all."
