The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 77 - Uniting the Three Empires

Xiu Juan did not know why he was talking about this matter to a child like Xin Chen, for some reason he felt that Xin Chen was exactly like his father. Perhaps behind this unrest he would get an answer from the little young man.

"It can't be said to be bad either" Xin Chen interrupted. Xiu Juan wanted to draw a smile but hearing Xin Chen's continued sentence he pulled his smile back.

"But it's so bad." Xin Chen continued, "Our empire is already hunted by many parties, there will be chaos back on a large scale. It's probably bigger than the Slaughter Era I've read about in the history of the Shang Empire..."

Xin Chen's analysis began to sound reasonable, given the sheer number of murder cases heard over time.

"This chaos will be a great world war. Our continent will become a sea of blood and the land will become a battleground, that's what I've been thinking about lately."

"Then what are you gonna do?"

Xiu Qiaofeng eavesdropped on their little talk, although only a glance could he hear Xin Chen speaking out loud. "I will protect my home, even if I have to fight against everyone, uniting the three Empires at once to create peace. So that everyone can breathe quietly without having to be frightened all day."

Xiu Juan and Xiu Qiaofeng both opened their eyes wide. That desire was already beyond the limits of the abilities of a person like Xin Chen.

"Xin Chen, do you understand what you're saying?"

Xiu Qiaofeng folded his hands together in front of his chest, doubting Xin Chen's sentence just now. "Well! How could you do that, you think, your father just might not be able to do it! Especially primitive humans like you!"

"Uniting the Three Empires? That's pretty much impossible. Chen'er, this has all been going on for a long time. When the three regions seceded and formed their own governments. Putting it back together will not be that easy" Xiu Juan replied bitterly.

"I know and I understand what I just said. Until you see the situation, perhaps you also realize there is no other choice but to unify these three Empires."

"That's it... Stop thinking about that stupid goal of yours, Young Master Xin is second!" Again Xiu Qiaofeng mocked him by mentioning his surname. It made Xin Chen unable to bear to retaliate against the little girl, even though Xiu Qiaofeng was still a child but his face had already displayed beauty from a young age.

"If you're waiting for me to give up on that goal, it's a pity Miss Xiu, you'll be waiting for me forever."

"alright... Alright... As long as you are preoccupied with your ridiculous goals will be focusing on the Young Swordsman Tournament that Emperor Qin might host. Just be prepared, the title of the first Imperial Pillar will be taken by the Xiu Clan. I've prepared a lot for it" Xiu Qiaofeng said braggingly.

Xiu Juan stroked the little girl's head, "Don't say that, at least respect Young Master Xin."

"Ah, don't want auntie! She sucks... Except for his handsome brother, maybe I'll think twice before bothering him." Xiu Qiaofeng released Xiu Juan's hand from the top of his head. Observing Xin Chen who no longer cared about the two of them, it was immediately quiet to see the state of Youji.

Xin Chen arrived at the doorstep, addressing Youji who was half-conscious on the bed with medicine and herbs to stop the bleeding on his arm. Jin Sakai was the first to notice his arrival, the man shifted his body to make room for Xin Chen to stand up.

"I guess after this he won't be able to forge a sword like he used to" Xin Chen said, feeling the sadness that Youji felt. Forging a sword was already a part of Youji's life, losing a hand like this was a heavy blow to the young man.

Youji did not say a word from then on, his face only lowered deeply not intending to see the people who were worried about him.

"Sir Youji, are you okay?" Xin Chen let out a voice, slightly patting the young man's shoulder in order to see his face. Youji himself stared at Xin Chen's weak eyeballs, "How can I fight with an enemy of the Jin clan if it only uses one hand?"

"Sister Youji, the sword is not the only weapon you need to win the fight." Xin Chen patted his chest, "Everything comes from your heart. How much you want to protect what you love, that much power will be embedded in you."

Youji's left hand trembled violently, seeing that his other hand had been covered in blood. The pain that ran through his body, and the despair that came when he realized everything would change from now on.

"Youji, you don't need to help me forge a sword anymore. No need to feel guilty about it." Jin Sakai finally spoke up.

Youji blinked his eyes somewhat irritatedly, "Dad, this is not a matter of forging swords or anything like that! Y-you see... My hand is only next to it. When the enemy attacks, maybe I won't be able to dispel the sword before it pierces my heart!"

Jin Sakai woke up, "The dignity of the Jin clan must be taken care of, Youji. Don't just because of your hand you're complaining and blaming the people around you." Jin Sakai's tone was firm, it felt more like warning his son not to behave in front of the crowd.

Youji grumbled his teeth, his mind too chaotic to just listen to his father. Youji stood up and ran over. Leaving them all in worry.

Jin Sakai briefly called out his name but Youji did not hear him again, Xin Chen patted Jin Sakai behind his back. "Maybe he needs some time to calm himself down."

"The chen! Xin Chen's!" Wei Feng barged in violently, getting rid of anyone who got in the way so frantically.

"What's wrong?"

"Come with me!"

Xin Chen chased after Wei Feng's footsteps, slashing the leaves from the wild trees with his sword and while looking ahead he was taken aback by the great battle that was going on there.

"Master Fox?" Xin Chen half in disbelief saw it, the Lightning Fox was somewhat surprised to see Xin Chen coming to where they were fighting.

The opponent facing the Lightning Fox never appeared, had just heard the movement behind him and guessed that the figure would appear from there, it turned out that the enemy of the Lightning Fox had actually come from above.

Xin Chen's eyes suddenly widened as a hole filled with dark aura appeared above the Thunder Fox, not letting out the slightest existence and moving so silently that the Lightning Fox was unaware of its existence. "Teacher, above you!"

The Lightning Fox swiftly dodged, not expecting indeed its enemy to come from above and let out a thick black fog from there.

The opponent of the Lightning Fox this time was very unreasonable, when the Lightning Fox came out of the cave just to hunt for food he was struck by a figure that reappeared behind thin smoke.

Who was hiding behind the tall trees. No air of existence, exhaling or the sound of a heartbeat is heard. The figure no longer looks like a human being.

Of course the Lightning Fox would not calm down to let the figure sit still, she chased after him and the inevitable fight like Xin Chen saw now. The black magic that this mysterious figure used was certainly very high, so he did not need a real human body to attack his opponent and only relied on soul consciousness.
