The Demon Swordsman 2

The Demon Swordsman 2
Ch. 32 - Xin Zhan's recovery

Ren Yuan looked at Xin Chen moved, then checked his son's condition was still fine or not. I don't know why these two children always make him worry during the night. Ren Yuan had been unable to sleep for the past few days.

Xin Chen his second son disappeared without any news and Xin Zhan was unable to be cured from the poison. He did not expect, in these last moments it was only Xin Chen who could overcome this problem.

"Until seven days of not coming home, where are you going?" Xin Fai raised a voice, her eyes starting to return as usual.

"Finding a way to cure Zhan Gege. And I met Dad's old friend."

Shen Xuemei smiled faintly, "For this I think your son is more reliable than those people."

Shen Xuemei pointed to the physician and physician who looked down in shame, all of whom were paid dearly and still could not cope with this problem.

Xin Fai stroked her son's hair slowly, shaking her own astonished head. "How far have you gone?"

"Valley of the Gods, Father."

Xin Fai coughed at the name, telling Xin Chen not to discuss it anymore because in the past few days it was also briefly mentioned by an Imperial spy. This is confidential information that should not be spread first to the public so as not to cause concern.

The situation outside the house began to be peaceful, some guards were also assigned outside so as not to be too noisy. Xin Chen faithfully waited for her brother to recover in the room until late at night. Even though it was too early and he did not go to sleep.

As Xin Chen went out to wash his face for a while, in the back room he could hear a suspicious voice. He went to the backyard and found no one. Feeling something was wrong with his hearing Xin Chen returned home but his body quickly turned around as a rustling sound reappeared.

Although it only had lanterns in its hand but Xin Chen could see clearly inside the forest there was something moving. Xin Chen did not understand why even in the dark his eyes could still function properly. Perhaps this was one of the advantages of the Sun God Pill.

"I know you can handle it yourself, Chen."

Faintly the familiar voice rang out, the Thunder Fox hid both strength and existence to the lowest point so that Xin Fai could not sniff his presence to this place.

"Tomorrow wait for me on the bridge, we must do many other things."

The sound of leaves rubbing back rang out, it was sudden that Xin Fai had been standing next to him. Pulling Xin Chen's body carefully.

"Who should you talk to?"

Xin Chen shook his head somewhat surprised, this father was too shocking. "I'm not talking to anyone. Just saw something move in the woods."

Xin Fai was still a little suspicious, at first glance she could feel an unusually large aura. Too strong for an ordinary human.

Perhaps it was because the Lightning Fox life stone had returned that Xin Fai was unable to recognize the strength of the fox that was growing bigger. He just believes whoever it is must be very dangerous.

Xin Fai told him to immediately enter the house, unexpectedly apparently Xin Zhan had woken up at that moment anyway.

"Thank God, Zhan'er. You're making us worry."

Xin Zhan closed his eyes a few times, his gaze circling around carefully. "What's going on?"

Xin Chen answered before his father. "You're just asleep for a while. Come on, rest there. Tomorrow I'll cook your favorite soup."

Xin Zhan turned his face annoyed, from what Xin Chen said earlier there was a hint of ridicule in it.

Feeling that there was nothing more to worry about Xin Chen finally being able to sleep well tonight, he immediately walked into his room that he had left behind this one week. It seemed that Ren Yuan diligently cleaned it up even though Xin Chen left long ago.

Xin Chen was awake in his sleep, thinking about the words of the Lightning Fox earlier he was reminded of one heirloom thing called Steel Phoenix. The steel that seemed to be able to retrieve information from others seemed to be the target of the Valley of the Gods.

'Artefacts, Steel Phoenix and Blue Gems of Light... What exactly is the purpose of the Valley of the Gods?' xin Chen's inner self began to look for this point of trouble.

'Don't tell me it's a ghost? Damnit... Or is that the dead body of the shopkeeper I stole? Did he take a grudge against me?' inner fear.

A growling sound rang out, Xin Chen seemed to be able to guess what was in his room.

"Pad's Nurture, huh?"

Lang snorted, using his strength a small flame appeared lighting a fire lantern on Xin Chen's room table. The wolf rolled its body in the corner of the room, closing its eyes.

"You don't want to talk about this with your father?"

Suddenly being faced with this chatter made Xin Chen have to think through it first before replying, it seems that Lang knows something. On the other hand he wanted to follow the advice of the Lightning Fox, this matter should not be known to his father first.

"The problem? About the antidote to Zhan Gege's poison?"

"Don't pretend to be stupid" Lang said. "I know you're as stupid as your father, but as long as you know I've known your father for decades. Your nature is the same as it seems, hiding secrets with your stupid face."

Three stupid words in one breath made Xin Chen almost unable to believe what he was hearing, compared to the people saying these words of Lang pierced him to the tip of the foot.

Xin Chen gulped down the objection, he tried as calmly as possible. Although he rarely saw Lang, he was convinced that the demon had a mind power that exceeded that of a human.

"If you've known, before I'd like you to tell me where you can find out about this?"

"When your brother was poisoned your father told me to follow the culprit. I just got to the scene and saw you were following the Lightning Fox over there."

Xin Chen had not expected even Lang to know from the start. He smiled awkwardly, feeling strange why Lang had never been seen by him. Not even the Lightning Fox said anything about this.

"Then you followed me?"

"Yes, I know your goal is almost the same as mine. Knowing who's behind all this."

Xin Chen said, "My goal is to treat Zhan Gege."

"Forget it. As for my question earlier, don't you intend to tell your father?"

"You yourself? Don't you know, is there any intention to tell Dad?"

Lang opened his eyes slowly, not expecting Xin Chen to turn the question to him instead. He woke up from his sleep, staring at Xin Chen in silence.

"If I tell him how?"

Xin Chen shook his shoulders in disbelief, "You won't tell Dad about this. I can vouch for it."

"Why?"

"If you had followed me from the beginning, you would have seen for yourself what the Valley of the Gods looked like. If you intend to eradicate it, it is okay. But what you have to understand, they have a lot to investigate first. Regarding the heirloom items they collected and the purpose for which they were made it all."

"Attacking them would eliminate the clues instead, we must prepare ourselves by stealing information first from the enemy."

Too many words left the child out of breath, Xin Chen had just wanted to continue but his ears caught the clattering of footsteps heading towards him.

"Dad's coming!" his shout somewhat suppressed the voice, Xin Chen was hiding inside his blanket. Pretending asleep. Lang chose to go from there.
