“Opa! How about Lula take a school leave?!” Lula tried to ask for an opinion on the figure of the man sitting not far from her.
Of course Lula's words made Abhi laugh. The man felt funny at his grandson's request. "You want home schooling?"
Lula shook her head, refuting the opa's guess.
“Make what?! Must leave?” the frown on Abhi's forehead grew even more noticeable when Lula looked so sad.
“Still wanting a vacation, Opa!” Lula answered quietly, placing her head on Abhi's arm. He lost the spirit to learn, even though the mother has taught him every time.
“School is three months away from going on leave! You see Lionel with Zola, he's already in college, you know! Don't you love, if you have to repeat? your age next year is already 20 years.”
Obviously different, Zola and Lion have watered-down brains. While me!? I have a hard brain to use to think hard, like a child, my brain is very spoiled.
“Spirit, yes, Lula! Three months away, high school graduation! Tell Opa what's making it difficult for you! As much as possible opa will help Lula!”
They don't know about Lula and Frans' relationship. Rainer's father asks him to keep it a secret first, until it's all over. Although her lips were already itching to say about her marriage. But Lula reluctantly reneges on her promise to Rainer's father.
“After finishing in High School you want to take college where? No way, take it abroad, who will take care of your husband? Well, even though opa knows, it's easy for her to visit you, but opa's advice is better if you go to college here! Husband and wife are not good at living far apart. Moreover, you are still labile like this! Can smitten with another man!” abhi's message, closed with a small laugh.
Lula felt that Abhi's wishful thinking towards her had gone too far. He was worried that the man would be disappointed when he learned the secret of his marriage. So far, Lula has not intended to enroll as a prospective student. He wanted to spend his time in his room. Take a break first, until next year just take college.
“Where did your mother go? He said he wanted to buy corn, but why so long?!” ask Abhi.
Lula shook her shoulders, she did not know where they were going. He also did not intend to come, let them repeat their youth first, halal courtship. Grandfather Ken said, this house at the peak has many memories for both of them.
Lula's lips smiled brightly as she recalled how she was able to get here until the day before. After Lula's school exam practice is over, Rainer's father takes Lula away on vacation, not far away, just to the top. Of course, Lula who preferred to be close to nature, she did not reject him.
Rainer's original plan was to bring his little family. But when they pick up Ben at Abhi's house, they join in to celebrate the holiday.
“After graduating High School you want to take college what?” abhi asked, after a few seconds had passed.
“Which is definitely not the law, Opa. Lula does not want to be a lawyer, anyways think his own problems are complicated, let alone think of people's problems,” answered Lula so honest, as if to offend his op profession.
“Doctor?!”
Lula shook her head, too far depending on her desire to become a doctor. Worrying would stop halfway through when his brain could not accept the material.
"Then what? don't tell me to be a mom!" goda Abhi's.
Lula seemed to think. “Lula wants to be a teacher TK.”
Abhi immediately turned his head towards Lula, could be seen a twinkle of happiness as Lula made her choice. Lula's answer sounded trivial. Not so draining of the mind, but it requires tremendous patience to educate children Kindergarten. In addition, he also understood, maybe Lula's social soul came down from his mother who really liked being a teacher.
"Good, continue!"
"But—" Lula hung up her speech, attracting the attention of Abhi who was suddenly curious about Lula's next remark. "But for Lula's own son." Lula's laughter glided freely. While the middle-aged man could only keep quiet while enjoying Lula's laughter.
“Called on no reply, apparently here!” chirp a man who just came. “Baggung burn it already so, let's go back!” take Rainer with you, when you see Lula looking at him.
“Have Lula, so spicy, Dad!”
“Zola who thanks spice!”
“Alright, I'm sure he loves the sweet.” Lula got up from the chair, walked up to the father who was still standing upright at the connecting door.
While Abhi precedes them, he walks to the park to catch up with his wife.
“Lula!” exciting Rainer.
“Hm.”
“Stop first! There's something I want to say to you.”
Lula held back the swing of her steps, slightly turning to the back, where Rainer was walking after her.
“Why, Yah?” ask Lula.
“Eyang Ano—tadi morning taken to ICU. He got sick, there was someone who reported to dad. Even though his condition is starting to improve. I suggest you visit Eyang,” Rainer explained. “If you don't want to meet Frans, it's okay, dad will arrange it for you!”
Lula stepped back, towards the garden area where her extended family had gathered, her steps slightly sluggish. “So when will we return to Jakarta?”
“As far as you are. I will accompany you. I know you need a friend. And all this time only family became your best friend.”
That was indeed true, only the family that Lula had from the past until now. They stopped the chatter when they arrived at the park area, joining those who were burning satayans.
Their conversation was always fun. Although Frans did not come, they all understood, trying not to ask Frans to Lula.
Laughter and jokes decorate the atmosphere of the night, the more the night, the air in the park area gets colder. Until the early hours of the morning, when Lula felt unable to hold back her sleepiness, she decided to enter the room.
Unfortunately, after being on the bedroom bed, Lula actually had trouble sleeping. He looked at the clock on his cell phone that had exceeded one in the morning. These days, Lula does have a sleep disorder, she thinks one by one what will happen if the divorce is official.
Jemari Lula actually opened a chat room owned by her husband. It was clear that the man was still playing his phone.
“What happened to Eyang? Why hasn't the clock gone to sleep?!” Lula muttered in between the laughter that was still heard in the back garden. Looks like Zian and Zola are still in the park, continuing the corn burning event.
Lula's hand had touched the screen, about to send a message to her husband. But once again he asked his heart, for what?
“Lula, you're not officially divorced yet, she's your eyes! There is a term ex-husband, but there will be no ex-Eyang!” Lula spoke softly, trying to resuscitate herself. "What pain does it really hurt? What if I go there to meet Aunt Priscilla? Lula doesn't want to!"
[Dad, I hear that Eyang is sick?] just press the send button, but why does it feel so heavy. “By Eyang, Lula! You should know his condition!” Lula tells him, trying to revive himself. Until finally, the question sentence was sent to her husband's number.
In the end, now Lula looks restless because Frans is not quick to reply to the message. It seemed like he was so busy that he did not have time to read the messages from her.
“Again of tandem maybe, yes! so afraid to reply to my message.” Lula grumbling. He was jealous, but was reluctant to admit that the flames of jealousy had mastered him.
When Lula was about to cancel the message that had been sent, the man across was typing a reply for her. Lula was waiting for the message to be sent.
[Yes, but it's quiet. One of them also, he did not want to eat, so limp his body. Doain is best for Eyang.] Daddy Beloved.
[What pain?] Lula typed out a reply again.
Again Lula was made to wait with Frans' answer. Almost five minutes passed, Lula just got a reply from the man.
[Old disease. Doain aja yes, Eyang already mengingan kok, he asked to go home, but the doctor has not allowed.]
Lula imagined the current state of Eyang Ano. She was old, but she was so energetic. There are still strong ways to the salon to just beautify yourself.
Lula did not reply, instead sending a message to Zola.
[Back Jakarta, yuk, Zol!]
No answer, it looks like Zola didn't have her phone with her. So, inevitably, Lula was forced to go down again, intending to take Zola back to Jakarta. He had to see with his own eyes, about the condition of Ano's eyes. He lost his trust t
with Frans.
"Of!" Lula surprised Zola who was sitting with Zian. The man across the bench was astonished by Lula's behavior. "Uncle Zi, go back to Jakarta yok!"
Zola is the one responding. "Udah night! sleep there!"
"Zola, everybody's sick. Come anterin me home!" lula said to the point. "somehow I can sleep, think about the condition of Eyang!" lula explained. "Come, Uncle. Later if there is nothing with Eyang, Lula will not be able to forgive herself Lula," said Lula, when Zian did not respond.
"Izin was with your father!" not to refuse but Zian tried to find safety, fearing they would look for Lula's whereabouts.
"Well, if you're on the road! it's an emergency, I'll understand." Lula was relieved to see Zian starting to get up from the chair, he was sure they would take him to Jakarta.
And sure enough, a few minutes passed, they were already on their way to Jakarta. Along the way, Lula chose to close her eyes, leaving Zola who accompanied Zian awake.
Lula woke up when the car driven by Zian had arrived in the Jakarta area. When the man wanted to drive her straight to the hospital, Lula refused, arguing that she wanted to make porridge for Eyang Ano first.
"You're taking a taxi! Uncle is sleepy?!"
"Yes. If you have reached Jakarta, no need to think about Lula anymore!" He couldn't possibly force Zola to drop him off, because the man had just fallen asleep.
Although Lula's body felt weak due to lack of sleep, he still struggled to make the porridge favorite Eyang. Lula hopes that Eyang still likes his homemade porridge.
