Pura-Pura Jodoh
Rainer's Suspicion

“Where is he?”

Frans who was in the middle room turned to the direction of Rainer's arrival. Panic was evident on his face, even surpassing him.

“Zahira not coming?” reply Frans with questions.

“He's not feeling well either. Where is Lula?”

“She hid under the bed.” Frans answered softly, beware that Rainer will immediately issue a swear sentence.

Rainer's eyes were perfectly rounded, upset that Frans had let his daughter hide under the bed. Without wanting to linger, Rainer ran towards the stairs to approach Lula.

“She's in the room here!” prevent Frans, while walking towards the room occupied by Lula. Room on the first floor, very far from the main room.

Without a second thought, Rainer quickly followed Frans' steps. Despite the suspicious feeling, with what Frans and Lula did, she tried to put that aside. He wanted to get to Lula, check on her condition.

“She's inside!” frans said, opening the door. Instantly they threw eyes at each other when they heard sobs filling the room.

Arriving beside the bed, Rainer opened the sheet that covered the undercarriage. Rainer's long breaths when seeing Lula's condition like this.

Lula's condition is currently having a high fever, not just his behavior turning spoiled. Lula felt he was 10 years old, precisely after the fateful incident that befell him.

“Lula ...” Rainer tried to attract Lula's attention, she crouched down, half her body coming under the bed. “Lula, it's dad!” Rainer touches Lula's moving hand, stopping Lula's actions. The girl's hands shook, feeling cold and sweaty. "Come with dad!" take Rainer after successfully calming down, he could not bear to see his daughter like this.

“Tante doesn't exist, does it? Lula scared Dad ... ” Lula resisted Rainer's hand, refusing to get out from under the bed.

“Not there, only Dad!” Rainer lied to calm Lula down.

Slowly Lula was about to come out of the darkness, her hands hugging Rainer's neck tightly. “Dad ... Lula is not naughty, right? Lula has always been a father, Lula a good boy, right, Dad!” rancau Lula, looking into Rainer's eyes with teary eyes.

Rainer understands Lula's condition, when he has a fever he'll be like this. So, it's common for him to handle Lula. “Iya, Lula smart boy, well.” Rainer held onto Lula's body, trying to calm down, he could feel when their skin met felt so stinging, that his blood flow seemed to boil.

“Why Lula is like this again. Meet dad it's okay!” Rainer glanced at Frans who was standing not far from him, an accusatory look, blaming the man for neglecting to care for Lula. "What time does Lula take the medicine?" ask Rainer to Frans.

"Five hours ago."

"Five hours? Supposedly if he still has a fever, give him the cure again."

"But he hasn't eaten yet, Rain!" Frans insisted on justifying his opinion.

"Fever medicine can be taken before meals! It won't cause Lula's stomach irritation! So far, Lula has no problem with her stomach either! You should know that, in order to overcome Lula!" rainer said a little emotionally. He doesn't know if Frans doesn't know his daughter.

Frans did not answer, he felt it was also his fault for not recognizing Lula well. He looked back at Lula, the girl closed her eyes, her lips moved to let out a babble.

“Daddy ... Evil aunt Cecil! Lula was afraid, she wanted to lock Lula up again. Don't stay away from Lula, okay? I have to accompany Lula!” lula Whine.

Frans is getting confused. Why was Cecil involved when the woman wasn't here. He needs an explanation, immediately!

“Lula up first, yuk! Let me obey!” Rainer moved Lula's body onto the bed. At least he understands enough to overcome the current state of Lula. He grabbed the small bag he had been carrying, opening the equipment to check on Lula's condition.

“Open your mouth!” rainer's orders were directly obeyed by Lula. Rainer measured Lula's body temperature by inserting a thermometer into his mouth. While his hand, examining Lula using a stethoscope.

“Lula must be soy sauce, right? Where have Lula been?” Rainer tried to guess, and Lula did not answer, because there was still a thermometer in her mouth.

“Dad, there was aunty Priscilla, she was angry with Lula. Want to take Lula up again.” Lula grabbed the stethoscope in Rainer's hand. “Lula want to also heal the sick, Lula if you have grown up want rich dad! Lula wants to be a doctor!” press the stethoscope to examine Rainer's chest.

Rainer smiled wryly, gently rubbing Lula's black mane, unfortunately Lula's dream had to be dashed because of her impossible condition. Which medicine party might accept Lula, who has a mental disorder. Not wanting to regret that, Rainer quickly switched the conversation. He kept his stethoscope, kept it away from Lula.

“Drink medicine first, yuk!” Rainer's hand beckoned Frans to take the heat-lowering drug.

“No want, later if Lula gets well dad leaves? Cecil's aunt will come again, take Lula away! Rainer scared dad!” stop Lula, she refuses to take the medicine.

“Dad will be next to you! Lula can't be afraid! No one would dare hurt Lula.” Rainer tried to persuade his daughter.

Lula nodded slowly. "Lula's dear father, right?" asked Lula, in a plain voice.

"Yes, more than my own life." Rainer slightly moved away, reaching for the medicine Frans had given him. After administering the drug to the dose, Rainer tried to put his daughter to sleep.

As usual Lula tells the story of the days where she was trapped in the memories of her past. It's about the school environment, about his childhood friends. About Zola, about Lionel, Lula once passionately told that.

Seeing that Lula had calmed down, Frans stepped out of the room. He chose to move away, approaching the direction of the garden to calm down.

Today Frans knows the advantages of Lula, but he also knows how fragile the lula is today.

Frans reached into his pants pocket, took out the cigarette box that had been there since noon. Frans lit a cigarette to accompany his solitude.

The more he drowned, Frans' chest just got a great rumble. He still needs an explanation of all this. "Priscilla," he said accompanied by a soft laugh. "What evil has he done?!"

Frans again sucked the filter from a cigarette that was still burning, his lips deliberately billowing white smoke into the air. Staring at the smoke that was marching away, it was clearly visible in the dark tonight.

Suddenly, Frans recalled Lula's words this morning, before the two of them enjoyed breakfast in the cafeteria. About the cigarette, Lula indirectly asked him to stop while beside her. He understood Lula's will. In fact, in his heart was already committed to doing that. Reduce, not eliminate!

Frans threw a cigarette out of his hand. The cigarette still looked long, but he stepped on it with all his might, trying to kill the burning embers, leaving his feelings of regret on a cigarette.

Can't bear to see Lula's current condition. There was a sense of wanting to help, but he didn't know how he was helping Lula.

Frans looked back at his body when he heard the sound of footsteps. His gaze met Rainer who was also staring at him.

“Delirium, usually occurs when Lula's body temperature changes. He'll lose self-control, get restless. And it ends at a time where it suffers a slump. Don't be surprised if tomorrow morning he forgets what happened tonight. I've even been upset, Lula never recognized me when she relapsed!” Rainer tried to explain. He understood Frans' current confusion. What Frans knows, Lula is a girl who is lazy to learn, to make herself stupid. But, he did not know if his extended family hid it from anyone, including Frans. The reason that made them not demand much against Lula.

“Causes?” ask Frans.

Rainer felt he had no right to say this to Frans. He didn't want to get ahead of Lula. “I guess from what Lula said is pretty clear!” that's all Rainer can say, hopefully Frans can see for himself what happened with Lula.

“Make me unclear! I know it has something to do with Priscilla. But I don't know clearly his treatment of Lula.” Frans protested, starting emotions.

“Forget! We as parents have forgotten it. We just want to give our best, take care of Lula, try to help Lula forget her past.”

“Rain!”

“I have no right to tell you!” rainer said in an annoyed tone. It was only today that he found them sleeping separately, and he was increasingly convinced that if Frans married Lula there was a certain purpose. Not because Lula secretly loves Frans. But because Lula is again a victim of Priscilla's guilt. Rainer was still trying to be patient, letting Lula admit her own mistakes.

“I'll spend the night here. I have to make sure that Lula will be okay.”

“Ya.” Frans resigned, no longer struggling when Rainer said that. He could do nothing more than obey.
