Phone Call

Frans ran away in tears when he heard the ringtone of the call from Lula's phone. He immediately raised so as not to disturb his wife's rest. Frans swiped the receive icon on the phone screen, trying to stop the chant of the song being heard. Then back away from the bed that Lula currently occupied.

“Lula! Lo where the hell is it? Why not go in again?! you know indirectly, your attitude yesterday ruined my dream! He really does not believe, as all I say, Lula and I need help Lo to explain to him if we do not have a serious relationship!” the voice of annoyance was clearly heard from across the call.

Frans tried to calm down, trying to figure out who called Lula this morning. “Who am I talking to?” frans asked in a cold voice. Lula did not go to school. The girl had not yet woken up from her long sleep.

“O—Om, ah, sorry I thought it was Lula. Sorry, Om, is Lula there? There is something important I want to tell Lula.” The speech on the other side turned awkward, a little more polite, unlike the first moment earlier.

“Nothing is more important than Lula's health. Don't bother him anymore, take care of your own problems!” fervent frans.

“Om—

Frans didn't want to hear that man's voice anymore. He cut off the call unilaterally. When his body turned around he was about to put Lula's phone back on the table. His gaze instead found Lula already sitting leaning on the head of the bed. Frans tried to throw a smile at Lula. “Udah healthy?!” frans asked as he walked closer to Lula. He placed the back of his hand against Lula's forehead, examining the dawn of his wife's body. “Tell Daddy that something is uncomfortable.”

Lula was still trying to read the situation. Circulating his gaze to stare around, then towards the back of his hand which was attached to an infusion needle.

“So morning Rainer's father waited for you to wake up. But you were long. Last night she accidentally put up an infusion, because daddy told her, that since morning you haven't eaten, and—you're vomiting constantly, fearing dehydration.”

“Now, where's dad?” ask Lula when she can't find Rainer's shadow.

“Your father is home. He has to work.” Frans was honest.

“Daddy not working?”

Frans landed his bo’kong on the edge of the bed. “Daddy's wife is sick again, so earlier daddy permission is equally eyey if you are taking care of you.”

Lula was silent, trying to remember what happened last night. Unfortunately he did not remember at all the events that made Frans' heart almost missed it.

The tone from Lula's phone was heard again. Frans looked at the screen of his cell phone. This time it wasn't Elkan who called but Levin.

“You received a call from Levin?” frans bargain, this time freeing Lula to make her choice.

Lula nodded weakly, receiving her phone from Frans's grasp.

“Lula's. Didn't I see you yesterday? You okay?” levin asked after Lula's first greeting.

Levin's question makes Lula reminisce about his last meeting with Levin. The man left him, maybe Levin felt he had something wrong with Lula.

However, instead of hating Levin, she greets him kindly. Assume nothing happened that day.

“Lula, you're two days out of school? You okay?”

“Ti—no!” Lula laughed heartily. “Ak—ku had a fever last night, and today it's been quiet. Tomorrow I go in, Chairman!” answer Lula, interspersed with jokes.

“You at home or in hospital?”

“At home. I'm at my husband's house.”

“Wait for me to come to your house!”

“Lev—vin!” Lula held off Levin's call to be cut off unilaterally. “I'm fine, no need to bother. It's still lesson time! You must be Levin's champion! Don't keep bolosan rich me!” lula's advice is that she knows full well that Levin never skipped school, unless he was sick.

“Ya, I know.”

“Yes, thank you then. Quickly healed ya!” levin.

“Te—thank you.”

Frans is aware of how to chat Lula with Levin. Trying to guess, is Levin the guy? The man Lula loved? He better find out later when Levin comes. Maybe he could read the gimmick from the one the man showed.

“You eat? Daddy bribe huh?” Without hearing a response, Frans rushed out of Lula's room. He stepped closer to ART who had only worked two hours at his home. It just so happened that the middle-aged woman was cleaning the sofa. Frans called him to prepare breakfast for Lula.

“The pulp is ripe, Bu?”

“Already, Sir. Want to be delivered now?”

“Ya.” Frans answered briefly and returned to Lula's room. The girl was still in the same position, Frans tried to walk silently, she wanted to ask what Priscilla had done to her. He was curious, but looking at Lula's still pale face, he was as strong as he held back that curiosity.

“So, Levin your lover?” guess Frans, when the steps are already beside the bed occupied by Lula.

The girl who was already wearing the pajamas shook her head, not one bit changing her position.

“Who's Lula? Dare to want Levin. He already has a girlfriend, beautiful, classmate Lula.” he added, telling a piece of Levin's story while in the school environment.

“Continue? Do you like her?”

Lula smiles shyly, “First yes! Was disappointed that Levin rejected Lula in front of a classmate.” Lula laughed heartily.

“Mau daddy auxiliary, make dapetin Levin.”

Lula's laughter was getting wider. “Lula wants to focus on making proud father of mother. Let them know later about the state of our marriage. Don't hate Lula.”

Miris heard Lula's words. But forever he could not have tied this loveless marriage. Lula deserves to be happy with the man she loves and loves him.

The sound of footsteps made the two turn their heads towards the woman who was now carrying a tray. The middle-aged woman looked at Lula while spreading a friendly smile.

“She's by Juned. New ART working here, with her husband. There's one more, but he's in college. He can be your story friend.”

Lula was happy even though she had not met the girl. “Please enjoy Madam!”

“You want me a bribe?” timpal Frans, back to sit on the edge of the bed while taking a bowl of porridge.

Lula did not refuse, she opened her mouth slightly as Frans poured a mouthful of porridge into her mouth. “You should move upstairs, afraid they'll complain to you. So even though we are not really a couple. Starting today we can do totality do it?”

“Daddy! Not afraid of being smitten with Lula, continue to later—tante Cecil how?”

“Lula, daddy is determined to forget it. Even if we split up, not necessarily daddy will come back to him. Understand?”

Lula does not believe it just like that, she clearly understands the character of aunt Priscilla. An ambitious woman who justifies all means to achieve her desire.

Lula did not reply, she simply smiled knots before Bu juned re-entered, telling if any guests wanted to meet with Lula.
