Lula is forced to be ready about whatever her husband decides, when Frans returns to Jakarta. For now, she chose to pretend not to know, where the man had gone. It was better for him to behave as usual, so as not to burden the man to make a decision.
Now Lula is sitting in an iron chair, not far from Bougenville's room. Listen to whatever the man has to say. “Wah, gee, wow good huh! after leaving without saying goodbye. Now daddy just remembered Lula!” She spoke with sulking intonation, though in fact her heart was completely angry with her husband.
While the man across could only hold back a laugh, it was clear as the man made a sound. “Sorry, if Daddy stops you also will not ngizinin Daddy go. Or there you will come and disrupt the activities of the daddy here."
Frans seemed to remember his purpose of calling Lula. "You don't sleep at home? ibn reported earlier, when he picked you up at home, he could not meet you.”
“Indeed no! I'm not at home. I accidentally stayed at grandpa's house.” Lula softly nodded. “Daddy!”
“Yes? wh why? want to ask for souvenirs?” guess Frans.
“Emang now daddy where?” even though Lula knew the whereabouts of the man, but she wanted to know how far Frans would be honest with her.
“Many jobs that daddy has to finish here. And everything was sudden, because it was yesterday Daddy also did not have time to say goodbye to you.”
Why not just name a place? It sucks that the answer is even muter-muter, thought Lula. “Owh, how long has Daddy been there?”
No sound after a few seconds. Lula decided to speak again. “For a while, since Daddy is not home, let Lula be at Grandpa Ken's house. In such a big house, Lula feels lonely,” Lula said.
“Lula, don't reason! in that house was her son, Miss Juned, whom I assigned to accompany you. You won't be lonely.”
“Daddy wants me back to that house?” asked Lula, just annoyed with Frans' decision as good as his own.
“Ya.”
“Okay. I'll be back home later.” Lula relented, however her status was still as the wife of Frans, so it was appropriate that she complied with the man. “What's he been talking about, Dad?!”
“You want to go?”
“Em, not really. Inside a lot of people. I can't possibly go.” Lula recalled the conditions inside the room.
“Then, why not just chat with me?”
Lula held back a laugh, she simply did not want her presence to be a mistake in the eyes of others. "My presence, it doesn't seem that important!" reply Lula.
“So? Don't you miss Daddy? I miss the radio of my life.”
“Can only be yes, Daddy!” a little laughable with the name for him.
“Yes, Daddy's serious. Lucky tomorrow morning Daddy's home. So it can be slightly treated.”
“So tomorrow morning Daddy is back in Jakarta?”
“Iya. Maybe tomorrow afternoon Daddy will pick you up for school.”
Lula hoped that the man would not lie to her. “Alright, Lula will be waiting for you, Dad.”
Because there is nothing important to say. Lula chooses to end the call, though the man holds back but when Lula explains that she is currently using her father's phone, Frans relents, and lets Lula turn off her call.
Lula did not go back into the room of mother Zahira, she chose to sit in the chair waiting for her feelings to calm first. But what happened was precisely the new arguments that now appear in his head.
“Why doesn't he end it now, anyway? Grandfather also already knows, about our relationship, it feels like there is nothing more I need to look forward to.” Lula clucked in annoyance, he seemed to be getting tormented even more by the speculation that had popped up in his head. Either it will end until when, which is clear for now he is ready to end it.
Elsewhere, Frans, who is now in a hotel room, is unable to concentrate fully on his laptop screen.
Since arriving in Singapore to date. Frans has not been able to meet with Priscilla, and plans later that night he will only be able to meet the girl. Hope it's dinner tonight. Priscilla comes with her new boyfriend, so that no one misunderstands their meeting later tonight.
“About her once? Why does he sound like Judes? Angry because I left without saying goodbye? freak!” frans murmured, feeling uncomfortable as Lula's speech seemed to ring in his head.
Out of curiosity, Frans chose to contact Ibnu. No need to wait for long, his call was immediately received by the man.
“Is there a problem regarding work, Sir?” tanya Ibnu welcomed Frans greeting.
Frans cleared his throat, he didn't want to look so concerned about Lula at the moment. But unfortunately, he did not find the right sentence to deny or ask Ibn.
“Not an office problem anyway.” Frans reconsidered his decision, hoping that Ibn would not blaspheme him when he found out that he was beginning to care about Lula. “Do Lula know of my current whereabouts?” the question finally burst from Frans lips.
“Yes, little lady knows that you are in Singapore. In fact, he knew that you were meeting Miss Priscilla.”
Ibn's description makes the blood of Frans boil. Now he knew enough about Lula's attitude. “YOU WHO NGAIIH TAU TO LULA?!” sarcastically, his face looks wrathful, he doesn't know what Lula currently thinks of him
“A... sa—not me, sir! I was also shocked when I heard the confession of the little lady who knew the whereabouts of the Father at this time.” The man on the other side stuttered, knowing full well that his boss was currently in a state of emotion.
“Damn it? What did Rainer tell Lula? It was clearly him himself who asked to keep this a secret from Lula! less time, Lo Rai!” after a vague nagging, Frans suddenly disconnected his call. Without explaining what Ibnu was going to do.
Frans' thoughts began to fade, why also Lula asked, if she knew about his current existence? Is he testing my honesty? Oh, my God, he must have misunderstood. Frans thought various questions began to appear in his head.
Frans wanted to contact Lula again, but considering that the girl's phone was not in her grasp, she decided to stop her intentions. He doesn't want to contact Lula through Rainer's phone anymore. Worried the man will be suspicious about his current whereabouts.
Frans could only hope that time would run out soon, in order to explain all of this to Lula.
