Ch 105's. Past: Brother And Sister
The next day Ren Yuu's family takes Cai'Zi to an orphanage to ask for adoption permission.
When he arrived there, Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer spoke to the caretaker of the orphanage. Ren Yuu and Cai'Zi waited outside. Cai'Zi was nervous from time to time about what Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer discussed with the orphanage's caretaker.
"We will adopt Cai'Zi," Ren Douzi did not waste any time and spoke to the old woman in front of him.
"Are you sure? Cai'Zi is very difficult to handle." The orphanage manager warned and continued, "i don't know what else to do. I don't hate that kid. But, the whole orphanage hates him. Cai'Zi can't do trifles properly and his appetite..." The caretaker of the orphanage sighed and did not continue his words.
"We already know that. But we will still adopt it. And, I want to ask about Cai'Zi's remaining origins," Ren Douzi went straight to the point of wanting to know Cai'Zi's history.
The orphanage attendant pondered for a moment then said, "4 years ago, a man in black robes arrived at the orphanage. He was so weird and suddenly appeared inside my room."
"He just said in a cold tone that I should take care of him at all costs and don't let Cai'Zi suffer. That person left behind a lot of Golden Taels just to take care of Cai'Zi until the time came."
"I don't know what that means until the time comes. But there's no way I'm resisting because this is a dumped-out child shelter."
"When I asked the name of the child in his carrier, the man simply said, his name is Cai'Zi. And never add any first name to her even if she's adopted. That's all the man asked and gave Cai'Zi to me who was about 3-4 months old."
"After that, the man mysteriously disappeared and it scared me a lot," the old woman slightly quivered on her body from feeling that the man was not human.
Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer looked at each other knowing that it was a reliable cultivator. Only people who were in Nascent Soul and above were able to do that. If it was still at the Tier Gold Core, that person would have to exit through the door or destroy something that was blocking it.
Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer felt it was natural that the public did not know about cultivators because of the agreement about 300 years ago.
"Did the man leave something else?" Ren Douzi asked seriously.
"Nothing," the orphanage attendant replied after thinking for a moment.
Ren Douzi sighed as there might be something big about Cai'Zi. Feng Xuer also understood that. The two of them looked at each other and made up their minds.
"We will continue to adopt Cai'Zi. If anyone picks him up one day, we'll hand Cai'Zi over to him" Ren Douzi finally made up his mind.
The caretaker of the orphanage simply nodded and did not comment anymore. Then they take care of everything about adoption because they have to follow the rules in society.
After finishing, Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer returned to where Ren Yuu and Cai'Zi were waiting. Cai'Zi is very nervous from time to time for fear that he will remain in the orphanage which makes him a bully-an ingredient for all the children.
Feng Xuer squatted in front of Cai'Zi while ruffling Cai'Zi's hair.
"From now on, you should call us mom and dad okay? And Yuu'er will be your brother from now on" Feng Xuer said with a smile.
Ren Yuu felt excited about getting a new sister instead of a friend. Ren Yuu had always wanted to have a sister and occasionally Ren Yuu would urge Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer even though Ren Yuu did not understand how to get a sister.
Cai'Zi was stunned and immediately cried in an instant, "really? Do I..." Cai'Zi's words were cut off by Feng Xuer.
"Of course it's true, let's call mom," Feng Xuer said as gently as possible.
"Mother..." Cai'Zi whispered while crying and Feng Xuer hugged him. Cai'Zi cried because he was so happy he would have parents now.
Cai'Zi was unwilling to part and continued to cry in Feng Xuer's arms. Feng Xuer carried him and tried to calm Cai'Zi down.
Ren Douzi only smiled at Ren Yuu's behavior then looked at Feng Xuer who was still holding Cai'Zi and said, "let's buy some clothes for Cai'Zi first."
Feng Xuer simply nodded and they all went to the clothing sales place to buy clothes for Cai'Zi.
For Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer, Tael was not very important because they had very much of it.
It could support a large family for decades or it might reach 100 years. Although Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer were already crippled, they still possessed strength comparable to Xiantian. So, all of their precious objects were in the space ring except the relics of the Ren clan.
Ren Douzi deliberately put it in the warehouse because maybe one day there will be a disaster on them.
After arriving at the place of sale of clothes and other items, Feng Xuer lowered Cai'Zi from his embrace. Then they chose many clothes that were appropriate for Cai'Zi. Cai'Zi was nervous because her father and foster mother bought a lot of clothes for her.
Then Ren Yuu went around in spirit as usual looking for something that caught his attention.
When they arrive at the accessories store, they enter also to look for something that interests them.
When inside, Ren Yuu saw many good accessories and his eyes were fixed on one ordinary necklace that was so simple.
The necklace is made of woven animal skin material and has ornaments with the design of the letters Y and Z overlapping each other.
Ren Yuu's eyes sparkled at that and wanted to buy it for his new sister.
"Mothers... I want this one!" exclaimed Ren Yuu while pointing at the simple necklace.
Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer looked at the necklace and understood why Ren Yuu liked it. Then they bought the necklace and Ren Yuu immediately approached Cai'Zi who was still nervous from time to time.
"Cai'Zi's chat... Lookie!! I bought something for you!" Ren Yuu exclaimed and arrived in front of Cai'Zi.
Then Ren Yuu showed the necklace while smiling widely. Cai'Zi looked at the necklace carefully and did not understand it at first.
But Ren Yuu directly spoke, "look? This is the letter Y which means Yuu and Z means Zi. This is my gift to little Zi, my new sister."
Ren Yuu was excited as usual and Cai'Zi was delighted and immediately hugged Ren Yuu.
"Thank you, brother..." Cai'Zi cried again because he felt his days would be filled with happiness if he stayed with his new family.
"Don't cry anymore okay," Ren Yuu tried to calm Cai'Zi down like an older brother.
"Umm," Cai'Zi nodded and wiped her tears after taking off her embrace.
Then Ren Yuu put the necklace to Cai'Zi's neck.
"It looks good you wear it" Ren Yuu said with a big smile.
"Yes, this is very good," Cai'Zi kept looking at the necklace around his neck and considered the necklace his first treasure.
Ren Douzi and Feng Xuer only smiled at the interaction of the two brothers.
