The dim light from a lamp that seemed to be dying seemed to illuminate the pitch-black space.

The round table looks huge and eats up almost the entire room. In that clamor many black figures with brilliant blood-red eyes also illuminated the room.

"Number 2, what do you think of the proposal that Lawrence's family made?" One of the figures asked the other figure sitting on the number 2 bench.

"Come, 'cause I'm so young compared to all of you. So I'm just going to quietly observe how you think!" Number 2 answered calmly. A confident and steadfast aura came out from his body as if dominating the atmosphere of the entire room.

"Number 5, aren't you supposed to give your opinion first before asking for someone else's opinion?!"

"Is that so Number 6?" Number 5 asked back, seeing Number 6 seem to nod he smiled slightly "Then I will give my opinion!"

Number 5 stared at Number 7 at a glance. He tapped on the table with his black fingernails and continued, "I think fighting with the Lawrence family will do a lot of harm. Moreover, they intended to make the girl a Vampire. Then the value of the girl will no longer be useful. So, as long as he's Human, we have to squeeze as much blood as possible. The 10 blood samples Lawrence's family gave him to end this unnecessary war are still very lacking."

"Hoho, you're so greedy!" Number 6 sneered softly, he drank the blood in his glass and again said "Do you think Lawrence's family will just sit in such a squeeze and won't act?"

"They gave us 10 blood samples for not wanting that war to happen, obviously they have seen an unfortunate future! Aren't I right?"

Getting a confident answer from Number 5, Number 6 fell silent and mused. He forgot the fact that Lawrence's family had someone who could see the future in his group.

It could be said that the strength of the Lawrence family was not small, if the war broke out, they would at least get a draw and destroy each other. Even so, it would not harm the Lawrence family because their wealth was terrible.

"I also smell fishy here!" Number 4, who had been silent since, chimed in "In the covenant paper, they asked us to swear blood so as not to disturb Edward and his family again in the future in any form!"

Silence shrouded as that Number 4 thought echoed in the spacious room. All the figures in the darkness just fell silent and went back to pondering with their respective thoughts.

A small cough resounded and dispelled the silence. The figure of Number 2 who did it opened the voice "Well, you have realized many things that cannot be understood. But remember this, because the Lawrence family has someone who can see the future then certainly they can also change the future according to his will!"

Listening to this from Number 2, the room became even quieter. Number 2 let out a long sigh, he opened his mind, his hand knocked on the table before him before returning to say "I think they gave us 10 blood samples and asked to make a blood covenant so as not to interfere with their lives in the future, it was because after the girl turned into a Vampire they planned to return her to being human again afterwards..."

As if he could see Lawrence's entire family plan, Number 2 answered confidently.

"No way!" Number 3 muttered in disbelief "From the documents we received, the girl's blood made her unable to become a Vampire, if they did that she would explode and die. So if they were planning on turning him into a Human again, wouldn't his body really become a dust particle?"

"I don't know for sure either, but the Lawrence Family must have found a way to do it..."

"If what you say is true, then the girl's blood will no longer be of any use in the future after all right?" Number 6 asked Number 2 after realizing the whole process of conversation. "Then will we just agree with their proposal?"

"That's what we're discussing right now!"

The atmosphere again became calm and silent as the sentence came out of the lips of Number 2.

With a sigh, the silent Number 5 began to speak "Then it is best to try to squeeze out as much human blood as possible while he is still human. We need to avoid an impossible war, and sign a treaty with them"

"I think it's better that way!" Number 3 chimed in and got the agreed nod from Number 4.

Number 6 simply sighed and leaned back on his chair with tired eyes.

"Since we have reached this decision, then now who will go to make that agreement?" Number 2 asked towards them, and made the atmosphere return to silence.

"I think it's better Number 5 and you go Number 2..." Number 3 suggests

And Number 4 also adds "Number 6 can also be used to calm the situation if something goes unplanned."

The three people stared at each other before nodding in agreement. The meeting went back on to discuss a few more things. After much discussion of what they should do, the meeting ended in not too satisfying.

Number 6 came out of the dark room and gazed at the beautiful looking sky with shining stars and moon.

"Felman, I think we'll work together again. I hope you will act as best you can!"

"Don't call my name if it's in Caesar's organization!" Number 6 who turned out to be Felman was sighing behind his cloak, he looked at Number 5 before him with a twitch in his eyes "Don't make much trouble, this time we go with Number 2..."

"You mean Gaston?" Caesar the Number 5 chuckled softly before returning to his voice "The young man is overzealous, I hope we won't be at odds if the time comes..."

With a sigh, his shoulders looked fragile and tired as he walked away from the Headquarters to return to his house.

Days pass slowly, Candy who lives her peaceful life in the Edward Family Castle looks brighter. He was treated so well that he felt uncomfortable and very burdened.

What makes him even more uncomfortable is the nature of one of the servants in the family named Arthur. Very patiently and kindly she performed Candy so gently and affectionately. Getting such treatment, Candy inevitably starts to remember the figure of her mother that she misses.

"Where are we going?" Candy asked Edward as she looked at the handsome man smiling at her.

"We're going to go underground." Edward smiled gently and pulled Candy's handcuffs slowly to follow him.

Candy simply nodded obediently and walked up to him. While in this castle Edward was also acting strangely, he sometimes looked pensive and thought about many things.

Suddenly she said something to him. Candy knew if Edward wanted to tell her something very important so she just nodded and listened.

But somehow Edward just led him to the basement to tell him everything.

The passageway was dark as Candy's footsteps began to walk deeper underground, Edward before her clenched his hands and continued to lead her in silence.

After walking in the darkness for a short time, Candy's amber-colored eyes caught the dim light from the nearly dead lights. Behind the small lamp, an old and dusty looking wooden door was visible.

Edward pushed the door slowly and revealed the contents of the entire room.

"We've arrived, now sit here!" She encourages Candy to sit on a chair she had cleaned before sitting in her front seat.

Candy's eyes explored the room, she slightly jerked to catch an abnormal animal figure there.

"That was the first experimental rat I used to heal me" Edward started the conversation after seeing Candy's curious-looking face looking at the stiff red-eyed big rat.

"Pilot experiment?"

"That's true..." Edward gave a small nod and breathed heavily in the air before returning to his voice "Have you ever heard the tale of the First Vampire?"

Candy looked dazed for a moment before nodding uncertainly. Seeing this Edward squeezed his clenched fingers and began to explain.

"Candy, I was the first Vampire and the Rat there was the first to drink my Trial Serum!"

Edward's body stiffened for a moment looking at the girl he loved in front of him looking surprised. He had turned off his ability to read minds. Edward is too afraid to listen to Candy's thoughts as she begins to explain everything. So he would just wait for the girl to talk to him after everything Edward said.

"That mouse has a 1 year longer reaction to turn into a Vampire. He mutated and became a blood-sucking rat monster with a body that grew up to 3 meters. I killed him and made his body freeze like a statue."

"Edward me..."

"Let me explain everything, about your parents' deaths and about my past! Please shut up and listen to everything I say until it's over!"

Listening to the death of her parents Edward mentioned, Candy's shoulders shook violently. An uncomfortable feeling haunted his heart.

Candy's amber-colored eyes stared at Edward's silver-colored eyes which looked cloudy and trembling.

He let out a long sigh and nodded smallly to let Edward continue with his words.

"I'll listen..."

Candy's fingers clasped Edward's fingers tightly clenched. The man nodded with his agitated heart and started telling Candy everything.

The room was silent, so silent that Candy's sighs even sounded loud as the word-for-word Edward blurted into her heart and made Candy's breath begin to feel tight.

Tears were no longer unstoppable and slid down Candy's cheeks the more she listened to everything Edward said...
