22 True Love...

A dark night stretches along the eye of the beholder. The darkness of the night with the moon and the stars as the lights seemed to be the scene it should be.

A pair of silver-colored eyes stared at him with a focused look, as those eyes caught the figure he recognized, he opened his lips softly "James, didn't I ask you to go protect Candy?!"

"You here?!" James looked at Edward who came as he saw his figure flying "Someone was against me many times. I'm sorry Ed but I've been trying my best..."

"Forget over! You go and help defend the castle, I'll go protect Candy myself!" Edward sighed softly, his eyes fixed on the left side of James's missing arm, hesitating for a moment before saying "Thank you..."

James's body shuddered coldly hearing what Edward said. He looked at Edward's back, which was moving away with a complicated look. His best friend was a man with high self-esteem, could Falling in Love make someone turn so bad?

James' heart felt a little touched and improved. At least slowly he will improve their relationship.

Edward shouted loudly in the dark night, his screams making the entire castle tremble violently. He gripped Candy tightly in his arms. Her blood-controlling power allowed Candy to breathe a little and not lose a lot of blood.

"Okay Sir!" Alfred replied firmly as he carried out his orders without delay.

Edward's body flew with Candy in his arms, holding her frail body like a princess across the darkness of the night at a frightening speed.

"Shut up I'll take you to the hospital!" Edward's face looked dark, he tightened his embrace at Candy full of fear.

No, he couldn't lose this girl, he couldn't let her go!

"Uhukkp... Uhhh?!!!" Red blood spilled from Candy's lips as the heart-wrenching pain worsened.

"Candy, A me... Ilove you... So please hold on!" Edward's voice trembled, Tears began to fall and drip from his beautiful eyes. He flew across the night in full force and continued to protect the girl in his arms.

Candy smiled gently listening to Edward. She was not sure if the man really loved her, it was possible that the man would say Love out of pity for her and also because this was the last thing she could give up for the breakup.

"No!!! I really love you! I love you so much! So please hold on and stay by my side! I need you!!"

As Candy's body weakens, she senses that her entire soul is being sucked in by something and pulls away from her body.

His ears buzzed unable to listen to what Edward said. But somehow his heart was racing as if it could sense what Edward meant.

"No!!! I won't let you go!!! Never will be!!!" Edward cried bitterly, he bit his lips hard to endure the piercing pain in his heart.

Edward has never been like this before. Even when she lost Austina, her heart ached but the pain was different to her feelings this time.

From a glance he could see that the girl was unable to survive. Edward was afraid, he was very afraid of his thoughts.

He did not want to lose this girl!

He did not want the Girl in his arms to leave him alone in this World!

She wanted to see her sweet smile and beautiful face every day!

Edward wants Candy to keep him company forever...

He hated that phrase so much, but somehow now he really wanted to do what it said.

Edward knows he's selfish by doing this to Candy, but he doesn't want to lose her. And the only thing that came to pass to make the girl stay by his side was just this way!

James' brilliant blue eyes moved in all directions as he walked around the hospital corridor.

The dark night looks brilliant with lights that light up in each corridor. A silent atmosphere with silence flowed through the air as James' footsteps were only heard.

It was 5 hours after the incident happened. Everything related to the castle he had finished. James is in the hospital to see Edward alone waiting for Candy to undergo surgery.

"Why are you coming? Didn't I ask you to guard the castle?" James frowned looking at the beautiful woman who was walking in harmony with him.

"I'm not a guard!" The woman snorted angrily "How dare you guys treat Austina Chayton as a guard!"

"Give up, but if you want to see the Human girl's condition you just need to be honest! There's no need to be Tsundere!"

A kick landed right on James' waist as his body flew towards the park.

Austina lowered her foot that was in the air before saying "Other times I will destroy your little sister!"

James' body shuddered coldly listening to Austina's words. He got up from the garden and walked back to his side without saying a word.

The organs of the Vampire that still worked like Humans were his little sister! So, if it's ruined James will lose one of his life's pleasures.

James did not understand why the little brother was an organ that still functioned even though it could not reproduce, but at least it was one of the things that made Vampires can survive thousands of years.

As James wandered with his strange thoughts, the two of them reached where they were headed.

Austina let out a long sigh before opening the voice of "The man looks pitiful!"

James regained his senses and stared at where Austina's gaze had gone. Edward was sitting on a bench in the hospital corridor. He sat down with his head bowed and his face disheveled. The tears in his eyes still seemed to be dripping a little.

James let out a sigh and turned his feet closer "He'll be fine!"

Although James knew his words would not lighten Edward's mood, at least he wanted to say them.

Edward did not respond to James' words and kept his head down.

Seeing this, James only let out a long sigh before sitting on Edward's side, he had expected that this man would not answer his words.

"Aunt Jane didn't survive!" Austina's words were like the bomb she threw. James glared angrily at her, but there was nothing he could do because sooner or later Edward would find out.

"I'm..." Edward's voice was softened as he opened his lips and stopped James from saying "...thinking to turn Candy into a Vampire?!"

Silence shrouded as the sentence came out of Edward's red lips. Austina's face looked stupid in surprise and disbelief. On the other hand, James frowned as if he was thinking hard to solve the hardest mathematical formula.

With the silence of the 3 people, the atmosphere became awkward. The night air felt heavier and uncomfortable.

James coughed a little to break the too gripping silence and said "Well, I don't know what to say. You have to solve your own heart problem! I'll help you find out why they're targeting Candy. Austina will help to guard the castle temporarily. As for Jane's funeral..."

"Begging Alfred to call his family, I'll come to his funeral later. For now I'll just wait for Candy!"

"All right.." James nodded and started to stand up, he looked at the shaken Austina and hit her lightly "Let's go!"

Austina half foolishly nodded and just followed James' figure away.

"James..." Edward muttered softly stopping James' footsteps "...Thanks"

James smiled sincerely and shook his head at him "No need to thank you among you... Ed, he'll be fine!"

With James gone, Edward returned alone in silence. She thinks of her actions that intend to turn Candy into a Vampire.

Somehow until now Edward still thinks about it for the last alternative. He continues to sharpen his sense of hearing and his eyes to look towards where Candy underwent Surgery.

If there were any signs that the girl could not survive, Edward would barge in and make the girl a Vampire.

Edward doesn't even care if Candy doesn't want it, he really doesn't want to lose the girl. And in order to keep the girl by his side, Edward would do everything even if it made the girl suffer and hate her.

Thinking about all this, Edward regained his senses. The feeling of Love she had for Candy was not the same feeling of Love she had for Austina.

If Love for Austina is like a feeling of relief from finding a companion who accompanies her from loneliness. So for Candy the feeling of Edward is a feeling of Strong Love and Selfishness.

By just looking at the girl Edward felt this world meant something,

Seeing him smile Edward felt his life wasn't bad,

And with the girl by his side, Edward Felt in would be fine even if he became a Vampire, it was because Candy there was standing right by his side and with him...

"Is it Obsession Love or True Love?" Edward muttered softly as he continued to stare in the direction where Candy had undergone the attentive Surgery.
