Eps 13's
This afternoon Empress Yan felt so bored in the palace of Yue Ji, she asked Xiao Wei to accompany her out just to relieve her boredom.
As Empress Yan was enjoying the flower garden she passed by, prince Xia accidentally saw empress Yan who was not far from where she was standing.
Prince Xia saw Empress Yan so gracefully and her smile was also very sweet.
"Emperor Shun has truly wasted such a beautiful woman in this world." Prince Xia murmured.
Prince Xia certainly knew how emperor Shun had treated empress Yan all along, therefore when he found out if crown prince Zhang liked empress Yan secretly, he felt displeased.
It was not that prince Xia liked Empress Yan as well, but she simply did not want to go to war of two friendly countries just because of a woman.
From somewhere else, it turned out that Empress Yan also saw prince Xia was looking towards her.
"Hmm, just want to take a walk to meet someone." Empress Yan muttered.
Empress Yan walked in intending to approach prince Xia, but without empress Yan knowing it turned out that someone had set up a trap there.
When Empress Yan passed the trap, Empress Yan's feet were hit by the trap. Empress Yan who was shocked and in pain shouted.
Prince Xia who saw it immediately ran towards Empress Yan, as well as Xiao Wei who was standing not far from empress Yan.
"Aaaagh, who would have dared to set a trap inside this royal palace?" Empress Yan exclaimed while enduring the pain.
Prince Xia who had arrived in front of Empress Yan immediately helped Empress Yan release the trap from the feet of Empress Yan.
The looks of blood coming out of Empress Yan's legs were quite a lot.
"Miss, please call the palace healer quickly. I'll help bring his highness Empress Yan to his palace." Prince Xia.
"Okay, your honor."
Xiao Wei immediately ran to call the palace physician, while prince Xia carried Empress Yan to the palace of Yue Ji.
Arriving in the room of Empress Yan, prince Xia immediately laid Empress Yan on the bed.
Prince Xia looked at the leg of Empress Yan who was bleeding, swelled up and began to turn a bluish color.
"It's...."
Empress Yan looked at her own feet.
"Someone tried to poison me again." Said empress Yan.
Prince Xia looked at Empress Yan and tried to understand what empress Yan had said earlier.
The words "again" made Prince Xia certain that before this incident, Empress Yan had been poisoned by people inside the palace.
"Your highness, the court physician is here." Xiao Wei exclaimed as she entered the room of Empress Yan.
Behind Xiao Wei walked quickly the palace healer, but not only the palace healer came. Emperor Shun and crown prince Zhang also came to Empress Yan's room.
"What's going on?" Emperor Shun.
"Be calm, let the healer examine the noble empress Yan first." Prince Xia's words calmed emperor Shun.
The palace physician examined the wound on the Empress Yan's leg, he then took out an acupuncture needle made of silver and pricked the needle on the Empress Yan's leg.
After a minute of waiting, the healer pulled the needle. The two eyes of the palace healer were rounded after seeing that the acupuncture needles made of silver were turning a deep black color.
"How is Empress Yan doing?" Emperor Shun.
"Ampuni noble servant, there is poison on the noble leg of the empress." Speak of the palace healer.
"What, poison?"
"Yes your honor."
"You! You are the maid of Empress Yan. Tell me what really happened to Empress Yan?" The Emperor looked at Xiao Wei sharply.
"Ampuni the noble servant of the emperor. Servant did not know, today empress Yan asked her servant to accompany her for a walk around the palace flower garden, the noble empress walked over and did not know if there were any poisonous traps hidden in the flower garden of the royal palace."
"Traps?"
"Yes your honor."
Emperor Shun slightly did not believe Xiao Wei's words, because of how there might be a trap within his royal palace.
"Emperor Shun, what this servant said is true. I saw it for myself when Empress Yan was hit by that trap. I've also asked the bodyguard to bring the trap." Prince Xia.
"Bring the trap here. I want to see it."
A bodyguard carried the trap and exposed the trap that had poisoned Empress Yan to emperor Shun.
Emperor Shun's hands clenched and his countenance changed.
"Immediately bring this trap to the chief investigator of the palace, tell me I want them to find the person who hid the trap in two days!"
"Okay, your honor."
The bodyguard immediately carried out emperor Shun's orders.
"Tabib, is there any medicine that can cure Empress Yan of that poison?" Emperor Shun asked the court physician.
"There are noble ones, but we don't have the ingredients in the palace and in this Qin state."
"So where's the ingredient?"
"It was in the Ming state."
"Ming Country?"
"Yes your honor."
Hearing that, emperor Shun looked at crown prince Zhang who was from the Ming country.
Crown Prince Zhang perfectly understood the intent of emperor Shun's gaze.
"What's the name of the ingredient?" Crown Prince Zhang asked the royal physician.
"A meal derived from the 20-year-old leaves of the gandaputra, the roots of 100-year-old golden chrysanthemums and the petals of icy white orchids. All of those materials were only available in the Ming country."
"I'll give it to you, but... I want to ask you something about Emperor Shun."
"Well, say." Emperor Shun said without a stale base.
"Why do you want to offer the poison that was at the feet of Empress Yan? Don't you hate Empress Yan so much?"
Crown Prince Zhang's question made emperor Shun speechless, nor did he know why he wanted to heal Empress Yan's legs which he had not liked all along.
Prince Xia who heard crown prince Zhang's question was also shocked.
"That's because...."
"Because you don't want the people of the Qin state to insult you for letting an intruder place the trap inside the palace, and make Empress Yan poisoned? Or because you don't want the family of Empress Yan to blame you for this incident?"
Question after question crown prince Zhang made emperor Shun speechless, he did not know what answer he should tell crown prince Zhang.
"Crown prince Zhang, we better stop this debate. Empress Yan desperately needed that potion." Prince Xia.
"I know that very well, but I also want to know the reason of our emperor Shun."
Crown Prince Zhang, who could not stand all the treatment of emperor Shun during this time, Empress Yan wanted to take this opportunity to obtain Empress Yan.
"Crown prince Zhang, if you don't want to give me the ingredients of the potion, I'm willing to buy it at any price." Emperor Shun.

Empress Yan who pretended to be unconscious shed her tears. But it was not a tear from Qing Lian An, but rather a tear from the original body owner of Empress Yan.
"Well, I get it. Well then, if I ask her to part with you and make her my queen, you won't mind, will you?" Crown prince Zhang.
"Zhang Jiang Wu!" Emperor Shun's cry was full of emotion.
Crown Prince Zhang was not afraid of the exclamations and sharp gazes of emperor Shun. He actually walked closer to Empress Yan.
"Your highness empress Yan, what about her own majesty?" Crown Prince Zhang asked Empress Yan.
Emperor Shun rounded his eyes after finding out that Empress Yan had not fainted, and he listened to all the hurtful words from her.
Empress Yan, who had been pretending to be unconscious, opened her eyes and difficulty sat up from her sleep and looked at Emperor Shun.
"The emperor's majesty already has a woman he likes, after all I have never been considered by the emperor's majesty. You all even know that."
Both emperor Shun's hands clenched, he slightly regretted what he had said earlier.
"Today I was again exposed to poison in the palace. Your highness the emperor, is this also your plan to kill me just like when I was living in Ju's palace?"

Empress Yan laughed at the innocent words of emperor Shun. Empress Yan certainly understood how Emperor Shun hid all the facts about how she had hurt Empress Yan of all the people of the Qin state.
Prince Xia and crown prince Zhang felt very sorry to hear the laughter of empress Yan who sounded so heartbreaking.
"Your majesty, tell me how much more noble effort is there to try to kill me?"
Emperor Shun flinched.
"Empress Yan."
"Empress Yan? Even I'm not sure if I'm worthy of that title of empress of Yan in this Qin state."
Emperor Shun frowned, he did not understand what Empress Yan was saying.

"Your Majesty, I beg you to stop." Xiao Wei said with a sob.

Emperor Shun and the others stared at Empress Yan, prince Xia and crown prince Zhang very unexpectedly if emperor Shun got so cruel to empress Yan.
Prince Xia and crown prince Zhang thought emperor Shun would not act to that extent on empress Yan, simply because of the deeds of the Qing prime minister.
"Empress Yan, you..."
"It's okay, your majesty, I understand very well."
Emperor Shun clenched his hand as he had said a very foolish thing, thus making Empress Yan again injured by him and it had just been realized by emperor Shun.
Empress Yan looked at crown prince Zhang.
"Your highness crown prince Zhang, I beg your majesty to help me give you the ingredients of the potion. I will repay this debt later." Empress Yan said to crown prince Zhang.
"Your Majesty Empress Yan." Crown prince Zhang.
Empress Yan nodded her head.
Without thinking anymore, crown prince Zhang ordered his personal bodyguards to immediately take out the three ingredients of the potion that empress Yan needed.
"Thank you for the kindness of the noble crown prince Zhang." Said empress Yan while bending her head.
Emperor Shun just silently watched Empress Yan try to plead for help to others in front of him. Moreover, that person was a high-status man.
Feeling himself useless, emperor Shun left Empress Yan's room with his broad steps.
Empress Yan who saw that revealed her cold smile, because from the beginning she already knew who the person who had laid the trap was there. He just didn't know if the trap turned out to be poisonous.
