The Endless System
Ch 2 — First Mission

Tohrei followed the system's direction, after the system gave the mission a nearby hologram map. The map looks similar to the game. Tohrei followed the direction designated by the map.

Tohrei went towards the mission location casually, he felt no need to rush to go there. Tohrei took a few minutes to get to the mission site.

The mission location is in a cave in the forest that has become a dungeon. Tohrei tried to make a small sword made of iron with skill creation and it was still quite ugly.

By now Tohrei's stat should have already surpassed most people's average so he was confident enough to defeat the monsters inside that cave.

When Tohrei saw the cave, it turned out that there were two creatures on guard. The two creatures were green goblins. Each of them had a knife.

Tohrei immediately ran towards the two goblins with his sword. Instantly, the two goblins on guard averted their eyes and attacked.

Tohrei swung his sword towards one of the goblins, but the goblin was able to dodge it and jump to attack Tohrei. However he quickly created another sword in his left hand and moved it towards the goblin's head. Instantly the goblin was pierced by his sword.

“Kii!!” From behind another goblin jumped trying to stab Tohrei in the head. However with Tohrei's extremely high agility he immediately threw the goblin that had been pierced with his sword and turned around.

He so quickly swung the sword in his right hand vertically from bottom to top. Instantly the goblin was slashed by his sword and groaned in pain.

The goblin fell to the ground and he had not yet gotten back up Tohrei moved his sword piercing the goblin's head.

Tohrei did not wink at all during that time. After doing all that he did not show any fatigue at all.

[You get 20 Experience Points! ]

The system notification made Tohrei's eyes blink. I don't know what just happened like he wasn't.

“What did I just do?” Tohrei dropped his sword and looked at his bloodstained hand.

He didn't seem to be panicking at all, he didn't feel anything after doing that. This was the first time he had killed a monster and this was also the first time he had seen blood come out this much.

However, Tohrei felt absolutely nothing.

[Master, it seems that another goblin from inside the dungeon came out. This may be because of the fight just now. ]

Tohrei realized from his daydream, he remembered that he was still in a fight. This was not the time to daydream, he took both of his fallen swords and turned around.

The goblins came out from inside the cave, numbering around dozens. But Tohrei seemed undaunted and instead gave a sharp look to the goblins.

The goblins were momentarily horrified when Tohrei gave a sharp look to them.

“Creation”

Tohrei did not come forward, he pointed his hand towards the goblins. They were not silent, they were moving towards Tohrei, but their movement was blocked by the stone wall that was blocking them.

The goblins immediately flocked to climb the wall. But the walls were too smooth to climb, making them have to climb their neighbors. However, their actions were useless because before a single goblin managed to come out thorns fell piercing them.

Instantly the goblins were pierced by thorns and groaned in pain. Tohrei did not see their deaths directly because the goblins were surrounded by stone walls.

After the groans of pain of the goblins were already inaudible, a notification from the system appeared.

[You get 500 Experience Points! ]

“Huft, it turns out that long-range attacks are more effective huh?” Tohrei breathed out his breath and smiled.

Tohrei paid no attention to the goblins who had lost their lives. He passed through and entered the cave.

When entering the cave many torches lined the cave walls. Tohrei encountered a few more goblins inside but they killed him with a single strike.

As he headed towards the end of the room he saw a goblin that looked different from other goblins. The goblin appeared to be larger than an ordinary human and had a muscular body. The goblin was carrying a large wooden bat in his right arm. He seems annoyed that Tohrei got here.

Tohrei uses the apprasial to the goblin and learns that the goblin in front of him is a hobgoblin, a higher species than a regular goblin.

The hobgoblin launched an attack by swinging its weapon. Tohrei immediately dodged, this cave was not too narrow so it was still wide enough to dodge.

Tohrei created a sharp thorn on top of the hobgoblin and dropped it down. But when it comes to hobgoblins, his sharp thorns do not puncture the hobgoblin's body. It made Tohrei a little surprised but he quickly calmed back down and focused into the fight.

He suddenly thought of something, which was about utilizing the creation skill. He was thinking of making something that could curb that hobgoblin.

The hobgoblin shot towards Tohrei while swinging its weapon. But his steps suddenly stopped when he saw both of his legs were chained by iron chains that stuck on the ground.

He tried to break the chain with his power but Tohrei did not let him. He added more chains that bound the hobgoblins and added chains on both hands of the hobgoblins.

Tohrei then thrust his sword into the hobgoblin. His sword was sharper than the thorn he had created earlier so maybe this sword could pierce through it.

As expected, his sword could stab him. It was thanks to the help of his so high STR stat. Instantly blood spouts of blood spewed out from Tohrei's puncture marks. He drew his sword from the hobgoblins.

[Your mission is done! You get a reward of 1,000 exchange points, healing skills, and corrosion skills! ]

“After all?” Tohrei was lying on the ground with a patch of blood still present.

Tohrei did not feel anything during the killing, he did not look panicked at the sight of a lot of blood splattered. If he wasn't killing monsters but humans maybe it would be different.

“Somewhat's wrong with me.” Tohrei muttered and sighed softly.
