Not the Perfect Wife

Not the Perfect Wife
124. Prayer together

"Mas Aydin, wait," call a woman.

Aydin who felt called also looked. He stared lazily at the woman who called out to him. Who else if not Airin. I don't know what else that woman wants.

"Yes, what's wrong?" ask Aydin who is trying to be friendly. He did not want to hurt the woman. The man knew that at this time Airin must have been injured, with what happened because of that Aydin did not want to add to it.

"I'd like to talk to you for a minute, Mas" said Airin.

"Speak what else? Wasn't it yesterday?"

"Mas, please forgive me. I really want to be with you again."

"Sorry, I can't. My feelings for you are gone with time, also because all your lies are exposed. I can't accept any of that. I am not a good man who can accept all the shortcomings of women let alone your shortcomings are very fatal. I also want to have a perfect partner. Not only in physical form, but also in his heart. I want her to be a good mother to my children. I know everyone deserves a second chance too, but I also deserve to make the best choice, right? And that choice is not on you."

"Does that mean you've found your choice?" ask Airin with teary eyes.

Aydin could not bear to see Airin like this. He could at least see the woman crying, but as hard as he could, he tried to control himself so as not to let her down.

"Yes, I found that woman. I've wasted him before and now I'm going to fight to get him."

Aydin did not lie completely. He wants to fight for Nayla. The mother had already raised her hand, not wanting to help him so, the man would try his hardest.

"What if the woman refuses."

"I will try my best to get it" Aydin replied confidently.

"None with me. I will try to get you to take me back. It is up to you to refuse now, but I will fight until you accept me. That's all I want to say. I'll go first, assalamualaikum." Airin left without waiting for an answer from Ayin.

The man only let out a long sigh without answering the greetings from Airin. Either Aydin has to face the woman like what it will be. He hoped Airin wasn't a reckless woman.

Not thinking too far. He soon re-entered the company.

*****

One week has passed. Today the Nayla boutique holds a joint prayer event, as well as a boutique opening event. The event was only attended by a few people because Nayla did not have many relatives.

Yasna invited her whole family to attend the event because it happened to be held on Sunday so, everyone was home.. It was not just Yasna's family that was present. Sarah's family was also present.

The event was conducted with wisdom. Prayers are made by an Ustaz so that the boutique can run smoothly and blessings for anyone who works and who buys there.

Since the show began, Aydin had always noticed the beautiful-looking Nayla with her hijab. Nayla wears a hijab because of her show. In everyday life the girl does not wear it.

"Peach the eye, Brother. Don't keep looking. If you want a piece of halalin," whispered Yasna.

"What the hell, Mother," said Aydin.

"Wear the sok-okan, what the hell. You've seen Mother's son, haven't you?"

"Since when did Nayla become Mother's child?" ask Aydin wonder.

"Who said Nayla? Well, that means you saw Nayla, huh?" Yasna is teasing Aydin more and more.

"No!"

"Here, don't waste. After all Nayla is now a mother's child."

Yasna held back the laughter by closing her mouth. She did not expect her son to be able to misbehave either.

"Why the storm itself? There are still a lot of people. Not good," said Emran. He also saw what his son was doing. It's just that the man is silent. Let it be their business.

"No pa-pa, Pa. This is Aydin again funny," said Yasna.

Aydin stared lazily at his mother. He could have been made a scapegoat. Though Yasna herself mocked him earlier.

After the event was over, everyone left one by one. Only the family of Yasna, the family of Ms Sarah and the brother of Nayla's late mother.

"Who's mom Nayla?" yasna asked a middle-aged woman.

"Include me, I'm Yasna. Call her not Mom. Just call a name. I feel like the oldest."

"I don't like to call names. How about you call me mbak?"

"May, it's up to me. I called you too, huh?"

"Yes, I can" replied Rini. "This is my husband, his name is Doni." Yasna and Doni shook hands.

"Mom's kids, aren't you coming?"

"I only have one child, Ma'am. She was married one year ago and went with her husband out of town" replied Yasna.

"Oh, yes, Ma'am. This is my husband, his name is Emran and these are my children. This is a man named Aydin and a woman named Afrin."

"Kids Mothers are handsome and beautiful, yes! Her husband is also handsome."

"Alhamdulillah, Mother. Everything is just a pin."

Yasna and Rini talked to each other. They tell each other about themselves and their families.

"Nayla, Auntie sent you a cake why don't you wait, anyway? Though Auntie, right, send a lot."

"What's the cake, Auntie? I don't know." Nayla was confused by what Sarah said. He doesn't feel like he's getting a cake from anyone other than Yasna.

"Don't Rizki already send the cake? Aunt told him to."

"Nothing, Auntie."

Sarah looked at her son. He asked inwardly, did Rizki not do what the woman ordered?

"Rizky," call Sarah.

"Yes, Ma."

"So morning, Mama told you to send a cake here. My mom made a list of any cake. Why did Nayla say there wasn't?"

"Sorry, Ma. Today Rizki has a lot of work so, forget," replied Rizki.

Sarah looked at her son with her eyes. She was embarrassed because she thought that Nayla did not appreciate her gift. Turns out Rizki didn't do what Sarah told her to do.

"Sorry, yes, Nay. Indeed Rizki was a lot of work so, he forgot what Auntie asked for."

"It's okay, Auntie. It's also a lot more cake, right?"

"Ma, come on, let's go home! Papa there is work to be done immediately," asked Ms. Sarah's husband.

"Pa, it's Sunday. Why are you so busy with work?"

"Ma, Papa is not the owner of the company so, must be busy. Comeing! Mama still want to be here or go home with Papa?"

"Yes, Mama's coming" replied Sarah. "Nay, sorry, yeah! Auntie must go home now."

"Yes, Aunt. Thanks for coming."

Sarah said goodbye to everyone and left the place with her family.
