Just a Servant

Just a Servant

The businessman's face was only briefly highlighted on the TV screen, because of the crowd that came to the bazaar. But the glint felt pinched Nurul's heart. There was a pain that he could not understand the reason for. Unknowingly, he gripped Bagas arm while his eyes continued to stare at the TV, hoping to see that person's face again. But his hope was not fulfilled.until changing the news, the figure did not appear again.

"What's wrong?" Bagas asked as he felt his hand being gripped by Nurul.

"Did?" Nurul asked back without diverting her attention from the TV screen.

"Why are you holding my hand?" Ask Bagas again.

"Did?" Nurul is still not aware of what he has done to Bagas' arm. As if reluctant, he slowly turned his head towards Bagas. Bagas pointed at his arm that Nurul still gripped with a gaze. Nurul followed the direction of Bagas's gaze and instantly he pinched himself in surprise.

"God willing...! Sir, I'm sorry.I really didn't mean it..." Nurul said quickly while immediately releasing his grip.

There was a red scar on his master's arm. Even the tip of his fingernails gave such a clear mark there.

"Hurt sir?" Nurul asked as he reflexively rubbed the strokes. Bagas shook his head, but Nurul did not see him, he kept busy rubbing Bagas' arm. "Please forgive me, I really did not do it, sir...." He said he was panicked.

"Why you?" Bagas repeated his question. This time Bagas' hand while raising Nurul's chin led him to stare at her. There was a fainting in those eyes.

"What's wrong?" Ask Bagas for the umpteenth time. But this time his tone was very gentle, trying to calm Nurul.

Nurul shook his head in confusion.

"What bothers you how you feel?" Ask Bagas. He was sure that something had disturbed Nurul, until Nurul grabbed his arm so much.

Nurul turned back to the TV. Currently the TV show has changed and aired a box office film from abroad.

"The person who was told earlier, when he saw his face, it was like something had slipped into my heart...." Nurul lirih.

"Do you know him?" Bagas asked back.

"I don't know.. I just feel something else when I see it. I don't know.. anxious... scared.. sad ..but also.warm..." Nurul tries to explain his feelings, but he himself does not know for sure, what he feels.

"It looks like you know the guy..." Said Bagas guessing the possibilities.

"Could it?" Nurul asked back.

"I don't know for sure, but this could be the first step to start scraping your true identity."

Nurul termangu heard it. Could he be able to rediscover his true family? Why did his heart even become afraid of facing that possibility?

"Hush... Don't be afraid.I'm here now..." Said Bagas when he realized Nurul's body was shaking suddenly. He grabbed Nurul's body into his arms. Nurul said nothing. Forgetting the awkwardness he used to feel every time they touched, he now even tightened his body, as if he wanted to take refuge there.

For a moment the two were silent to each other. The direction of view is fixed to the TV, but in reality, both are drifting in their respective thoughts.

"Nur..." Call Bagas after a while.

"Yes..."

"Before there was a misunderstanding between us. There seems to be something I have to explain to you..." Said Bagas attracted the attention of Nurul who had wandered, exploring all the possibilities that occurred in his mind about the figure on TV earlier.

"About what?" Ask Nurul. This time he had already dared to look at the face of his master without hesitation.

"About our relationship..." Said Bagas instantly made Nurul move a little away from the clutches of Bagas.

"Did Bagas decide to end this marriage?

Was this influenced by the figure he just told me about?"

Various conjectures instantly filled his mind.

Really am. He did want to know about his background, but he did not want it to shun the life he was currently living. Could it be that just because of his uncertain past, he would also lose his future with Bagas this time?

"Saying that this has something to do with the person you are talking about .. it could be...."

Only up here Bagas talk, but it feels like Nurul's chest is crowded.Without realizing he sighed like a wounded person. He stared at Bagas' face as if waiting for the voice of 'DOR' from a sniper.

"Hey..don't be sad ..." Say Bagas while pulling Nurul's body back into his arms.

"Sir..if you do intend to leave me, please don't be too sweet on me ..." Nurul said while trying to resist Bagas' embrace. Without feeling the corner of his eyes was back inundated. Just a little winking can be sure to create a tributary on his cheek.

"Hush, who told you who you were?" Said Bagas while trying to smile to prevent the flash flood on the sweet face. The unexpected woman's face had been the focus of her attention for the past few weeks.

"Then what do you mean?" Nurul asked finally a little annoyed.

"Either if anyone talks first, do not immediately think of the like...."

"I mean... It seems, for a while, I couldn't fulfill my obligation of giving an inner living to you, because...." Bagas immediately raised the word BECAUSE when he saw Nurul's mouth was ready to interrupt his speech. Sure enough, hearing the word because, Nurul's mouth immediately mingkem again not so interjected.

"Because.... You're like a pile of money with the proclamator I found in the middle of the street..."

"Did?!"

Bagas laughed at Nurul's reaction and facial expression when he heard that he was likened to the pile of red money. That's what does that mean?

"meaning?" Ask Nurul reflexes.

"Yes... like you when you find money in the middle of the road... What do you do?" Bagas tries to have an analogy to make Nurul think and not drift away with feelings that sometimes even lead him to think no-no.

"Usually if people find money, we have to find the owner of the money..." Answer Nurul.

"Yes, that's how it is..."

"So you'll find out who my owner is, then?"

"That kind of thing..."

"But sir, I am a human being.not an item that can be simply handed over...."

"Just because you are human, I want to have you in an honorable way..." Bagas paused his words while trying to string up a word that would not make Nurul again misunderstand.

"...At first, I wanted to have you right away, after all, there was nothing else to consider that could stand in our way. But, when you hear your story earlier, which says as if you know someone else out there, there is a gap that must be investigated.

I'm thinking of someone who might be missing his daughter or maybe his wife..." Say Bagas in a very slow tone at the end of the sentence

Nurul again pensively heard the description of Bagas.

"Sir... If later proved that I am the wife of people... will you release me?"

"Either.... Will you let me go?" Bagas asked back. Again Nurul was made pensive to hear Bagas' words.
