When Destiny Re-Picks

When Destiny Re-Picks
Arrival of Rea

Her three children had already gone to their room to sleep after Nico watched the three eat well. Only Vira and Roby are left in the living room with her.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned his past." Vira's sorry.

"It's not your fault." Roby answered.

Nico had no intention of listening to those late regrets. His eyes were closed with his hands closed.

"Cure your wounds. Don't create new problems" he said as he got up from the sofa.

Just about to step towards the stairs, the sound of the house bell rang. Nico abandoned his intention to leave.

"I'm just." Nico walked first towards the door when Vira had intended to leave.

"Who's visiting?" ask Vira wonder. Dian or herself never brought or invited anyone into the house. Out of curiosity he finally chose to follow Nico. Roby followed him.

"Mrs Rea?!" his stranglehold was restrained when he saw who was dealing with Nico.

"Can I talk?" pinta Rea on Nico who was staring at him flatly.

Nico widened the entrance, the sign of the woman who had become her in-laws was allowed. Nico also beckoned the two hiding people to leave, leaving them both.

Rea walked while watching his surroundings. Every corner around him did not escape his sight. So it's like this place that her daughter and granddaughter have lived in for years. Honestly, this is the first time he's been here.

Rea smiled as she looked at the little figura on the nightstand that showed a smile of Dian with her twins on their birthday.

Her daughter really grew up to be an amazing girl. Dian even gave birth to two children who were no less extraordinary. Her little girl has managed to prove that without her she is still able to live well and make her proud.

"He once smiled like that to me .." he said without taking his eyes off the figura. " ... Long before he finally looked at me with a hostile look." Then turned to look at Nico who was also staring at the figura.

I-i know. So is the pain I've been making, inner Nico.

"Actually I knew the man who made her pregnant back then was you. But I'm adding to his heartache." Rea regretted everything he said. If time could be played ....

(Readable in Chapter 20 - Flashback: My Purpose, My Spirit, My Life, My Son.)

"What's going on?" Look at Nico sharp. He only knew the life Dian lived was not easy. Family demands are also one of the triggers. It's just that for the details his wife went through he didn't know.

That night Rea spent her time telling stories. Nico was only able to resist hearing the things that Dian experienced from childhood to adolescence. How hard the father taught for a daughter. Not only that, mother as a protective place also became hell for him.

The regret that until now enveloped Nico due to his actions in Dian was growing. His presence should heal wounds, not add wounds. He recalled the innocent eyes of the young girl he had dined on.

He should still make the owner of the eyes smile sincerely, staring warmly like when they were together first.

"If I hadn't let go—"

"It's too late to regret, isn't it? Time keeps turning and things won't change" cut Rea.

"While I hate you for taking it off for the sake of others without knowing the presence of your own child, I cannot. I realize what I'm doing is worse than anything."

The tears that flowed in the corner of his eyes right now would not be able to heal an already gaping wound.
