We are Not Honey

We are Not Honey
Chapters 19. Decisions

Two weeks just passed. During that time, Riyan never returned to her parents' house again, and chose to rest in the room where Meisya was in. However, there have been no signs of progress from Meisya. The woman was still lying on the bed, and had not been conscious of her coma.

Like the usual days. Zahra will bring food and a change of clothes for Riyan. Not to forget anyway, the lady was so sincere in helping her husband to take care of all Meisya needs as well as a professional nurse.

Today, with a dongker-colored robe combined with a long hijab in matching colors, Zahra again hurtled towards the hospital. Some nurses who used to stare at her in disgust, slowly begin to look kindly mixed with her, after rumors of a serial marriage between Riyan and Meisya spread in the hospital environment.

Several co-workers, who used to be in the same room as him, have found out several times the chronology of the complicated relationship between him and two popular doctors at the hospital. However, Zahra had no intention of answering or saying anything about his personal affairs.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Mas." Zahra said when entering the room that had been two weeks he often visited. However, her body was immediately silent at the door, when she found Meisya conscious and was talking to her husband.

"You have arrived? Come on over here." Riyan waved his hand with a warm smile towards Zahra.

Zahra nodded, then tried to smile awkwardly.

"Sit here, I'm gonna change clothes for a second. There's a patient this morning." Riyan got up from the chair where he was sitting, then asked Zahra to sit there.

Zahra nodded back.

"Come here, Ra." This time Meisya's weak voice was heard, making Zahra's heartbeat even more pounding.

"What are you here to ride?" Meisya is back.

"Relike a cab, Doc." Reply Zahra timidly.

"Mbak. We're no longer co-workers." Meisya.

Zahra took a deep breath.

"I've heard a lot about you from Riyan. He said you took care of me during the day, because he had to work." Say Meisya again.

Zahra still silently listened to the sentence well.

"Thank you, Ra." Say Meisya again.

A while later, the bathroom door that Riyan entered was already wide open. The man looked fresher in his new clothes.

"I'll stay a while, isn't it? There's Zahra here." Permission Riyan while staring warmly at Meisya. "It's breakfast and lunch for me right, Ra. I'll take it to the room as usual, okay?" This time his gaze was fixed on Zahra.

The two beauties smiled sweetly, then nodded at the same time, making Riyan smile with relief. Moments later, the door of the room was tightly shut and Riyan was no longer visible there.

After Riyan's departure, the sweet smile that had adorned Meisya's face instantly disappeared. Replaced a serious and cold face, barely freezing Zahra.

"Riyan still insists on keeping us both? What do you think?" Ask Meisya without being stale.

"Did you have no other dreams in your life? So you have to resign to this complicated situation?" It was so obvious the annoyance on Meisya's pale face. "My dream is Riyan, Zahra. I dreamed of our wedding a dozen years ago. And you came to destroy all my dreams." Meisya said that Zahra's tears began to trickle down her face until the girl's hijab. "Do you love her?" Ask Meisya.

However, Zahra still kept her mouth shut. Just a few minutes ago when Meisya asked her to call the woman 'Mbak', a little new hope grew in her heart, however, after seeing the face of Meisya who was still not friendly with him, that hope again disappeared in his mind.

"We're not honey, Zahra. And it will never be honey." Meisya said firmly.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am." Lirih Zahra's.

"You want me to forgive?" Ask Meisya.

Zahra was silent...

"If you want to be forgiven, and want to help Riyan to escape her guilt for me, then let her go." Meisya.

Zahra raised her face. Two weeks ago, after seeing Meisya's terrible condition, it was in her mind to let go of Riyan. Because from the beginning, it should have been Meisya who was beside the man.

"The doctor advised me to get a cure at one of the hospitals in Singapore. You just need to persuade Riyan to agree to that. Once we've made it out of Indonesia, the rest will be my business." Meisya said again, and without the woman guessing, Zahra nodded her head in agreement.

"really?" Ask Meisya to make sure.

Zahra nodded back.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am. For two weeks now, I've been thinking about the best thing between us. I will persuade Mas Riyan to leave, but give me two days to be with him." Zahra.

Meisya was silent for a moment. Staring at the girl younger than him fixedly.

"Persuading Mas Riyan to leave me is not easy, Ma'am. Not because he loves me so much, but there is a trust that someone entrusted to him, making it feel heavy. Give me two days with him without interruption, and I'll make sure Mas Riyan goes with you." Zahra Pinta.

A moment of thought, Meisya finally agreed to Zahra's request. The two began to talk about the right time because it is not possible at this time.

Moments later, the nurse and doctor in charge of Meisya's health development, stepped into the room. Zahra immediately got up from the chair beside the bed, then stepped a bit away to give the medics room to do their work.

As soon as he finished, as usual Zahra would again sit beside the bed. Helping to get everything Meisya needs, sincerely.

"Daddy and Mommy are so disappointed in me." Meisya said suddenly, after she asked Zahra to take a book for her.

"Reluctant yes, but hating it is impossible for parents to do to their children." Answer Zahra. "If you tell me the truth, if you're married maybe our story will be different." His imbuh. Trying to explain his self-defense. After all, after this he will part ways with Meisya and Riyan.

"I was too scared to lose her. For that I want to do anything, the important thing is that he stays with me." Meisya. He knew it wasn't Zahra's fault. If this girl beside him insisted, it was merely wanting to maintain herself as a wife.

Zahra smiled at the answer.
