MNB CHAPTER 36 - Overnight Contract
Tessa looked at Keenan for a moment, she did not expect Keenan to defend her like that. Then now he's gonna have to take part so Albert and Lucille can believe it.
"Babe, I'm in love with you again!" Tessa tiptoes and kisses Keenan's lips.
But apparently it's not that easy, Albert and Lucille saw that Tessa was acting.
"Then we invite you to dinner today, how about?" asked Lucille who wanted to humiliate Tessa.
They don't know each other, but Lucille hates Tessa.
"Of course, we'll take it!" reply Keenan firmly.
Tessa wanted to step on Keenan's foot right then and there. How could Keenan just accept the invitation?
"Well, we're waiting at the Beach and Pub" Lucille said of the name of the place to invite Tessa and Keenan.
Lucille then took Albert's hand to leave but before moving away, Albert had a glance at Tessa.
And that made Tessa close herself to Keenan.
"Thank you for your quick response" said Tessa, who still hugged Keenan.
Keenan returned Tessa's embrace and tried to comfort the girl. "Want to have ice cream?
"Es cream doesn't seem bad!" reply Tessa whose hand was held by Keenan.
They looked for ice cream and then ate it in a chair in front of the supermarket where they bought ice cream.
"We knew each other long enough to know what they liked" said Tessa, who ate vanilla ice cream, Keenan bought it without asking her.
"Hm, but I didn't know you were dating that bastard. I knew when you broke up because you were crying in the office" Keenan said, recalling the past.
"My courtship style is unlike yours, maybe Albert got tired of me and chose the rich and established Lucille. I'm always busy with your business, boss. We even had a fight because I would rather accompany you on a date than on a date with her" Tessa explained.
"I always call Albert a brengseek man when I destroyed our relationship myself!"
Keenan gasped to hear it, now Keenan began to remember every year he spent with Tessa. And it's true that Tessa was always with him without taking any time off.
"It seems right that we're building a project on Borgia Island, Boss. Looks like you've been exposed to magic that makes you remember your sins. I'll drop your letter of recommendation to hell" Tessa said with a laugh.
Keenan smiled faintly at Tessa who was cheerful again. If scolding her can make Tessa laugh, she is willing to continue to be scolded by the girl.
"So what about tonight? What about Bella and Kevin?"
"It seems that the one who really enjoyed this trip was the two of them!"
Tessa and Keenan then sighed together.
"I had to ask Kevin to accompany Bella again" Tessa said.
"And I have to give a reasonable reason to reject Bella's invitation" Keenan replied.
"Our mission tonight has to convince Albert and Lucille that we love each other!"
"Fighting!"
As planned, Tessa and Keenan try to get rid of Kevin and Bella so they can meet the invitation for dinner.
"So now we're going out on a contract, right?" keenan asked Tessa as they headed for the inn.
Tessa nodded. "Yes like that, last night's contract!"
"But a courtship style like me, right?" Keenan's getting naughty.
