My best friend, Maduku

My best friend, Maduku
Love of mother-in-law

The first day the baby was brought home, the atmosphere was not as quiet as before. The house becomes very crowded even though night and day because many relatives decide not to go home for reasons that refer to the same thing that is the presence of babies.

"Al." Call Aly while holding his wife's cheek.

"Hum..." Alsya squirmed and started to open her eyes. He had just had a good night's sleep at three in the morning and at five was already awakened.

Alsya glanced at her husband's face.

"What's up, ma'am ?." Alsya asked still with contorted eyes.

"Sorry, yes, dear. But, it seems like our son is thirsty."

"Did he wake up ?."

"Yes, honey. He woke up from that."

Alsya breathed heavily, being a mother was definitely very tiring. He has felt it himself, where he has lacked rest every day for the sake of the baby.

"Yes, here, my mother." Her request.

Aly immediately rushed to take the baby in the baby box and put it on Alsya's lap.

After being full of breast milk, the baby returned to sleep quietly.

"You want to go back to sleep, baby ?."

"It looks like it is, mas. I'm still very sleepy."

"Yes, you're sleeping again, here with the baby."

"Let him here, mas. Afraid to wake up again."

"Oh, okay. Here, let the mas be the naruh." Aly takes over the baby and puts it on the bed near Alsya's body.

Alsya fell asleep again accompanied by her baby because Aly was out of the room.

Aly met her family who were in the veranda room. They spent the night at Aly's house. He said the Javanese custom requires families to stay up late when one of their family members gives birth. Aly could only obey with her family.

"Have you prayed dawn, Ly ?." Ask his uncle who is sitting on the living room couch.

"Here you go, om."

"Then, here. You're teaching with us."

"Yes, um."

Aly sat down, joined together with his extended family to hold a lecture together. Things that are often done by his family every time there is an event or some kind of large family gathering.

Led by his uncle, Aly began to read his memorized surah which happened to be part of juz 22-25. They did divide the surah so that even though reading within a few hours could have closed the Qur'an thirty juz.

At half-seven, the teaching activity was completed after being closed with a prayer led by Aly's uncle, Mr. Ahmad.

Aly went back to his room to see his wife. When entering, it turns out Alsya is still sleeping soundly, as well as the baby. Alsha's hands hugged her baby.

Aly did not have the heart if he had to wake his wife, because it is very understandable if Alsya still needs enough rest so that her condition quickly recovered. Aly's hand moved away from Alsya's haircut that covered part of her face.

Aly's gaze fixedly looked at the wife's face, and inexplicably he remembered one more wife making the guilt again ambush his heart. He is still thinking about how Alsya will react if Alsya knows that Alsya has had honey that is none other than her own best friend. Aly is afraid that Alsya will hate him, hate Halimah, and ask for something very difficult to realize Aly, a divorce.

"Mas." Alsya opened her eyes.

Apparently Alsya was disturbed by Aly's hand that had rubbed his head.

"Yes, baby ?."

"Mas Aly has breakfast ?."

"Not yet."

"I'm sorry, yes. I can't take care of you." Alsya said with a sad eye.

"Darling, hey ?!. Look into my eyes."

Alsya complied and looked into the eyes of her husband who was also looking into her eyes.

"Mas does not matter, whether you take care of it or not, because you love you without cause. Even now your situation is not okay, I understand, very understanding. Mas will not torture you by having to always take care of you, even though you yourself are not healthy."

"But, mas. It's Al's duty, as a wife."

"Yes, I know. But obedience to a husband's words is the most important thing for a wife."

"But, um..."

"Already, yeah. I don't want to talk about this anymore." Said Aly while getting up, he did not like the discussion so chose to avoid it. But before going out Aly took the time to kiss Alsya and turned around to leave.

"Zahwa ?!."

"Zahwa ?!."

Strangled the two who were both surprised by the presence of the ponakan who was suddenly there.

"Zahwa is here ?." Alsya asked the three-year-old little boy.

"Yes, Aunt." Zahwa answered in his innocent voice.

"Who's here?." Aly asked her sister's daughter.

"Mom together, same grandma." Zahwa answered in his innocent voice.

Aly and Alsya turned towards the door, and two other people of different ages walked over, her mother and sister Aly.

Mother sat on Alsya's left side while Sarah, Aly's sister sat beside Alsya's feet and Aly himself sat on Alsya's right.

"You guys, your baby's a week old is gonna make it again." Decak his mother quipped.

"Mother..." Alsya felt awkward from being caught by the mother-in-law.

"You don't understand what I'm talking about, Ly?." Ask her mother cynically.

Sarah who was caught off guard by the debate that she thought was useless began to make a sound. "Your son is still sleeping, Al?." Ask.

"Yes, mom. Wake up, if you're hungry."

"Yes, babies are like that, Al. Zahwa also fits the baby the same, rarely his eyes awake."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Al, here, I made you some herbs." Mother thrust a glass filled with red-brick liquid.

"What are you, ma'am ?." Aly asked.

"You're this. You want to know about women's business. It's there, you're out !." His mother said fiercely.

"Oh my God, Mom. Aly just wanted to know."

"Not to."

"Yes, Aly came out first. Honey, you're out first, aren't you ?."

"Yes, my mom."

After Aly's departure, mother began to pay attention to her daughter-in-law who looked very weak. It is appropriate for a woman if after childbirth will experience weakness in the entire body, and it will usually also last a long time. Especially if his age is still very young, like his daughter-in-law. Twenty-year-old Alsya had already experienced such a state.

"You haven't eaten anything, have you, son ?." Ask her mother attentively.

"Yes, Mom."

"Then, let's drink the meal first, but his stomach is still empty so the clock can work quickly."

"That's what Mom ?." Tanya Alsya was curious about what was in her glass, because it smelled the aroma of spices that were so pungent in her smell.

"It's a boiled water of betel leaves the same as garlic."

"Does that taste bitter ?."

"Al, you never drink herbal medicine ?." Sarah asked suddenly because she saw the look on the face of her sister-in-law who looked afraid of herbal medicine.

Alsya. "Yes, ma'am." Alsya answered in a soft voice.

"Not strange, indeed. Today's children rarely drink herbal medicine. There are even those who never. Rich you, son, but if you drink herbal medicine safer because there are no side effects, not rich in drugs." Said Mother.

"So, you want to drink the clock, Al?."

Alsya looked silent as if thinking hard and then finally nodded. "I'll try, Mom." Answer with doubt.

"Totally ?."

"Yes, Mom."

"All right, here, drink it, son." Said his mother-in-law again thrust the glass containing the herbal medicine to Alsya.

Alsya increasingly felt the aroma of the glass more piercing as the glass he brought closer to the mouth. After saying basmalah, slowly Alsya drink the water with the already bad because it feels spicy, rancid, also tasteless. Alsya almost chokes when the liquid seems to be rejected by her oral cavity but due to the orders of the mother-in-law who told her to immediately finish it, Alsya was forced to swallow it with difficulty until the last drop.

Sarah who noticed the funny look of her sister-in-law only gave a sweet smile. In the past, when she gave birth to Zahwa, her mother also routinely gave her herbal medicine and drank three times a day, just like medicine. But indeed the efficacy is no doubt, if herbal medicine can accelerate the healing of his wounds after giving birth.

After the glass had moved away from Alsya's lips, the mother quickly gave another glass filled with warm water and told Alsya to immediately finish it as well. Alsya stomach feels bloated because drinking two glasses of water at once, one herbal medicine and the other warm water.

"How about, Al ?. Does it taste good?."

"It feels very strange, bitter too."

The two people beside him only smiled hearing Alsya's reply.

"Later in the afternoon I'll make some more herbs, okay ?. Turmeric the same meet Ireng." Mother said again.

"What?!." Alsya was suffocating looking at her mother-in-law's face.

"Why do you want ?."

"Hemm, mom, no need, huh ?. Alsya couldn't drink it..."

"You just gave birth, son. Drinking herbal medicine is very good for the condition of your body to quickly recover. Also let the blood not fishy and quickly removed all." Obviously mother.

Alsya sighed. He was very fond of herbs, but because he had such a mother-in-law, he could only resign anyway for his own good.

"Al, do you know what it's like to meet Ireng ?."

Alsya. "How does it feel, ma'am ?." Ask later.

"It felt very bitter and stuck for a long time in the throat."

"What is mbak ?!." Pekik Alsya, the more afraid he will have to drink the herbs again.

"West. You here, your sister will be more and more afraid of jamu !." Advice his mother to look at his daughter's face.

Sarah was just a crybaby Tampa sin. " Hehehe yes, Mom."

"Mother, Alsya doesn't need to drink any more herbs, does she?." Ask Alsya to her mother.

"Son, meeting Ireng is good for your stamina. No papa, huh ?. Don't be put on this mbakmu remark. Ireng's meeting was bitter, but it's a minute."

"But bitter right, ma'am ?."

"Yes, but a minute."

Again. Alsya just sighed.
