Escape with Alaric?

“Layla, please help me pack some clothes.”

Chloe looked busy pacing back and forth from earlier like she was thinking of something. No. gabe. It had been these few days that she had such a lot of thoughts after meeting Empress Juliana.

When Layla came in, she immediately told the waiter to help her pack her clothes. Of course this makes Dimitri confused.

They had not spoken of leaving for the Rudolmuv Kingdom, nor had Eden just arrived this morning. The old grandmother had already missed Dwayne and caught up with them, while Draven and Adreana were still going on vacation.

“My wife, you didn't say you finally want to return to Rudolmuv Kingdom with me today.” Dimitri raised one eyebrow. He was lying on the couch with a book he had placed on his stomach.

Chloe tucked her long hair down behind her ear while looking down at the dresser drawer. “I don't want to come with you home, I mean I want to go somewhere first.”

Dimitri sat up. “You changed your mind? Didn't you resign to come home with me?”

Chloe took out a comb and some female items that were not important to Dimitri.

“I'll come with you and Dwayne home, but just give me a day. After I return, we can go straight home to Rudolmuv.” Kingdom

Chloe walked over to the mattress and stuffed the items into a handbag. Layla had finished picking up and arranging her clothes as well.

“I'm sorry, Miss Eliza. Mr Dimitri.”

After Layla came out, Dimitri sat on the bed and looked at Chloe who was checking back on the contents of her bag.

“You're not running away, are you?” dimitri asked doubtfully.

Chloe laughed and closed the dark brown bag. “Of course not, Dimitri. Where there is a man who blatantly arranges clothes to escape in front of her husband.”

Dimitri pulled Chloe's waist so that she was in the middle of her open thigh. He raised his head with a clear face and dog-like eyes that his master was afraid to leave behind.

“Really? You're not running from me?”

Chloe smiled, but Dimitri could see there was sadness there. He cupped Dimitri's cheek and kissed his forehead quickly.

“I'll be home tomorrow night, you won't even realize I'm gone.”

Dimitri wrapped his arms around Chloe's waist and placed his head on her stomach.

“Appointments? I’ll miss you, darling. Dwayne. You haven't told her you want to go.”

He would not let his wife go. But she's also afraid that holding Chloe too tight, it's going to push Chloe away.

Chloe stroked her hair. “You have to let me go first then I can say goodbye.”

Dimitri shook his head. “You have to tell me where to go?”

“I'll tell you after I get back. There's a ship that I have to chase in two hours.”

“Then I still have time.”

Chloe scrunched her forehead. “Time for what?”

Dimitri tasting*p his stomach. “Bright tonight.” His lips were rising upwards towards the top.

“Dimitri!” Chloe pushed her head. “Cannot. I have to go.” immediately

“Come on, just minutes away. I promise I'll be quick.”

Chloe rubbed her furrowed brows. “Later after I get home. You can do it all day and I won't refuse.”

With a heavy heart, Dimitri took off his hand. She knows Chloe can disappear from her grasp at any moment.

“Alright I'll come take you.”

Chloe picked up the handbag and stepped outside the room. “Truly unnecessary, Dimitri. You're here to look after Dwayne.”

After saying goodbye to her son who had to be persuaded and whining to come along, Chloe was finally able to get into her horse carriage. From the window, he waved at Dwayne who was carrying his papa.

“Eden, bring Dwayne in first.”

Eden said nothing and carried Dwayne inside. After that, he called a bodyguard.

“Follow that horse carriage. Where is the destination of the ship and with whom Miss Eliza went.”

“Ready, sir!”

Dimitri waited a few hours until the bodyguard came home. His breathing was irregular as he faced his master.

“Mr Dimitri, I've been following Miss Eliza's train. He did go to the port but I don't know his destination because he got on a private boat. The ship has a bat-shaped head, mr.”

“He went with whom?”

Many questions flashed through Dimitri's mind. He knew where the ship was headed but did not understand why his wife had gone there.

“It was with a master who several times had come here.. Well, I forgot his name, mr.”.

The bodyguard twisted his brain, slightly irritating Dimitri to wait.

“Oh!” His fist clapped his own palm.

“I already remember. Mr Alaric! Miss Eliza go with Mr Alaric!”

Their ship arrived on a remote island hidden among the many large rocks. From a distance, it was like there was a storm going on, but as the ship approached, the weather there was normal.

Alaric explained that this was what made Magnus choose this island to build his castle.

The building in front of Chloe was even more ancient than all the buildings she had ever seen. Ancient and creepy. He was increasingly curious as to what kind of clan head lived in this castle.

Alaric directed her to one unexpectedly soft room, contrasting with the outer appearance of the castle.

There stood a figure who turned his back on the door and stared out the window. Chloe is confused, in her shadow Magnus is a man. Is he wrong?

“I'll leave you to give privacy.” Alaric closed the door.

The woman turned her body and Chloe gasped. He's never been this shady since he turned into a vampire.

“Mama?” whispers lirih.

Chloe doesn't believe in her own eyes. Many times he blinked his eyes quickly, as if he could wipe away the person standing real before him.

“How can? You already..”

Sofia smiled gently. “Chloe. Long time no see.”

Something is strange about his movements. He looks stiff, his body erect, looks paler. But not as pale as when he was sick. He also had no smell of blood.

As if Chloe's expression was so transparent, Sofia replied. “Betul. My mother did not die of illness. Mama was turned into a vampire.”

“But I went to bury you, ma. I saw how the sand covered your coffin.”

Sofia moves forward, but Chloe steps back. He doesn't believe. Maybe there's some kind of magic at work right now to trick her.

“Mama is already on the verge of death. You also know mama's disease can not be cured again.” Sofia said with a sad face, as if remembering how she used to be suffering from coughing up blood.

“Then that night, because my mother's feelings were chaotic and my body was very sick, she went out of the house and walked somewhere. Suddenly someone grabbed my mother and relieve the pain in the body mama.”

Sofia recalls how the man she didn't know was sucking her blood and making her forget that she was sick. As she stops, Sofia begs to withdraw her pain.

Chloe remembered how she first found her mother lifeless. But there's still something missing from Sofia's story and Chloe's head turns.
