Suddenly there was a hint of respect on Jasper's face as he said these words.

Halen's heart trembled as she looked at Jasper's clear respectful demeanor and eye gaze.

"Your boss?"  Halen frowned deeply.  He was always worried that someone would support Jasper.

Since this man dared to come here and form his own mercenary army, there was no way he would not have someone supporting him.

Jasper hadn't come here for a long time, but he looked extremely confident and had managed to gather a sizeable army for himself in such a short period of time.  He even stated that he would treat the soldiers as his own family, and as a result he garnered a lot of support from the men.

This ruined the market for the rest of the mercenaries.  After all, these soldiers were just tools, and they should have sacrificed their lives when necessary because they had been paid to do just that!

Dying at the hands of others was expected, but Jasper seemed to cherish every successful life for him.

"That's right. My boss has instructed me to come here, and everything I do is according to his instructions, so I won't dare to make any decisions on his behalf."  Jasper smile.  "Nobody can ever force my boss to make any decision, myself included."

The implied meaning of his words was very clear.  'Nothing' also included Halen and her Purple Months Pay Army!

Halen's expression darkened, but she did not explode.

He was worried that Jasper had supporters, and this supporter was someone that should not be taken lightly.

If the backer turned out to be someone strong in the Third World, then things would be complicated.  No one wants unnecessary trouble, and they all work very hard here because they are just trying to get rich in the region.

When he saw the expression, demeanor, and radiance in Jasper's eyes, Halen did not dare to continue asking.

"Is that so? Then I can't force you. Do you know when your boss will come here?"  He paused before continuing, "Lieutenant I want to invite him to visit."

The lieutenant knew nothing, but Halen made it up right away.

"No idea" Jasper continued to smile.  "As I said, I can't interfere in my boss's business and I can't influence him in any way. He comes when he wants, and no one can force him to come if he doesn't want to."

"Hoho, all right, I get it."  Halen sneers.  "I won't bother you anymore! Let's go!"

He then went with his men.

After everyone left, Jasper breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed.

He felt extremely depressed when faced with a highly skilled fighter like Halen.  He was afraid that Halen suddenly lost her temper and suddenly decided to attack him.  His men might not be able to withstand Halen at all.

"We won't last long," Jasper laughed bitterly as he shook his head.  "Sir Hunt, if you don't come soon, then I don't know what to do if Halen comes again."

He now pretends that he is very tough when in fact he is not.  Halen was wary precisely because she did not have enough information about the Merlyn family.

But a man as strong as Halen must have the means to know everything about himself.  Once they found out what was happening in Las Vegas, then Jasper would not be able to hide anything from them anymore.

When that happened, nothing Jasper said would come in handy.  Once Halen was no longer wary of him, Halen would definitely attack him and take everything by force.

Then he'll be really in trouble.

Jasper sat in his chair and looked into the distance as his heart pounded.

Ever since he came here, he's never had a good night's rest.  He was always worried that one day, he would fall asleep and never wake up again.

This feeling of distress is getting stronger now.

The feeling of being in danger was increasingly suffocating.

He and his son will soon be destroyed!
