THE WASTED WIFE

THE WASTED WIFE
ELA'S STORY

"Where do you live?", asked Maxxie turning her head to Ela who was sitting next to him. Currently only the two of them are in the car, while Olivia and Asley have been delivered first to the mansion.

"My apartment is far away on the edge of the city" replied Elara while mentioning the name of the apartment where she lived all along.

Maxxie nodded his head. "The company I eat first, my stomach is hungry. I haven't eaten anything since noon. I just arrived in town and Asley asked me to see your show" Maxxie said.

Elara glared at both of her eyes. "That's right. I still wear ballet like this. You better get off, I'm waiting for you in the car" Ela said as Max stopped his car at a fancy restaurant in downtown New York.

Maxxie was silent to Ela. He looked at the girl. "really so. You can't eat dressed like that. You're like a white rabbit in a children's fairy tale", Seloroh Maxxie laughs funny.

Hearing the man's teasing, made Ela pout her lips. Face pouting. "Mistake yourself why you're taking me" exclaimed Ela annoyed.

"You're the one who decides where we eat, Ela. You must be hungry after your show, too, right?"

"You sure you asked me to find a place to eat? Alright, I will choose good food for you" replied Elara smiling.

Max silently looked at the sweet smile that adorned Ela's face.

"Ehem..."

"It's for you Cheese steak sandwich. As for me Loaded baked Potato", said Elara gave a paper bag containing food that she bought on the side of the road.

Elara also gave a large cup of the drink. "Rompope's drink alone.healthy drinks are good for your stomach" said Elara smiled as she put the drink on the car cup.

"Thank you" Maxxie replied, taking the food that Ela had given her.

The two sat on top of a car cup while enjoying a dinner topped by a vast sky studded with millions of starlight.

Maxxie really enjoyed the food that Ela chose.

"Your choice may be" he said staring at Ela. "Are you always selective about the food that goes into your stomach, Ela? You're a vegetarian? You don't choose meat only vegetables. What you're eating is a baked potato, right?", asked Maxxie to see Ela's food on the girl's lap.

"No. I am not a vegetarian. But I'm used to cutting back on carbs at dinner. Without meat and oil. I prefer baked foods like this", he replied, scooping his food and feeding it to Maxxie. "Try".

Without thinking, Max opened his mouth. The man closed his eyes enjoying the delicacy that his tongue felt.

Elara smiled looking at Maxxie like that. "You're overreacting".

Max opened his eyes. Her fingers pulled out a disposable box filled with food on Elara's thigh. "I eat this one, you eat mine".

Ela's eyes were rounded. "But I don't eat meat at night like this, Max".

"We'll share it then. Wrong yourself why you choose healthy food, while I you choose unhealthy food" protested Maxxie feed his mouth food.

The girl also feeds her mouth food. The two share food in a box, as well as drinks. Enjoy the beauty of New York City.

Occasionally Ela stared at the flickering stars in the vast sky.

"Ela...have you been practicing ballet for a long time?".

"Since childhood. When I was six years old. Mommy was very supportive of me doing ballet. But after mommy died, daddy suddenly defied my wishes. He prefers me to be in business just like him and my brother. Daddy reasons his son only me and Oliver will be his successors".

"Why are you still a ballerina? Did your father finally agree to your wishes?", asked Maxxie as she looked at Ela who was raising her head to look up at the sky.

Ela shook her head. "I decided to choose my choice of becoming a ballerina, despite the consequences of which I had to leave home. My dad put me in a dorm in Marseille. I was very depressed and not at home in that seclusion. But I can't go against daddy's decision".

"While Oliver was taking a master's education in another country at the time. When she found out that daddy put me in the dormitory, she was furious, and threatened that daddy would leave and leave her alone".

"But I lied to my sister. I told you I was in that dormitory of my own will and you believed. I don't want to see daddy and brother fighting continuously because of me. I know daddy's very proud of brother. For him only Oliver can continue his business. And I think the same. Nothing is as good as Oliver leading our parents' legacy company. While I was always not interested in plunging into the business world like them" said Elara smiling as she looked ahead.

Maxxie hears Elara's story digesting everything. "I didn't think you were brothers. I thought you were lovers" said Maxxie staring fixedly at the girl.

Ela returned Max's gaze. "Same. I thought you and Olivia were lovers, too. Especially Asley calling you daddy. But your faces are very different. Asley is very similar to my brother having the exact same eyeballs as Oliver's".

"I'm glad you and Oliv weren't married" Elara said. Rona was happy on her face. His lips were endlessly smiling.

Maxxie stared unblinkingly at Elara's face. "Why are you glad we're not married, Ela?"

Ela's eyes were perfectly rounded. Spontaneously he looked at Maxxie. "Don't misunderstand my words. I'm glad Olivia didn't marry you because she's still my sister's wife. And I know very well Oliver misses Olivia very much. I'm happy to know they were rediscovered and had children" Elara said, giving reasons to cover up her nervousness. "Oh my God I'm wrong" said Ela.

"Once it seems", reply Max who is still with an intense gaze and look at the face of Elara.

Elara looks wrong. "Geez Max, don't look at me like that. You see me as a criminal. Don't think of me" said Elara.

"Would take me home. It's getting night. I'm so tired.."

"elright. Come home. But tomorrow night you still owe me dinner. Which now does not count. Tomorrow is the real dinner", Maxxie said as she opened the car door and pushed Elara's silent body into her car.

"T-api–"

Brugh..

Maxxie closes the door on Ela's part. The man smiled meaningfully as he circled the back of his car to sit behind the wheel of the luxury car.
