Do-kyeong loses consciousness, then jerks awake, then loses consciousness, then jerks awake again. Repeatedly. He woke up when Su's hand slipped slowly from his grasp and when he heard the faint sound of animal steps. As soon as he woke up, the drowsiness again dragged him into the subconscious. Dreams continue to haunt him like sand falling in an hourglass. He did not know if he was dreaming, had just woken up from sleep, or was dead. He tried to relinquish control, but then again tried to control himself.
The night is getting late. As the night nears its end, something urgent rises in Do-kyeong's esophagus. A bitter liquid suddenly filled his mouth and dripped out of his nostrils. He smothered his mouth with one hand while his other hand reached for the handle of the car door. The car door swings open and Do-kyeong immediately vomits. His vomit was gushing nonstop. Even though a small puddle had formed on the ground, it still continued to vomit. He beat his chest and finally managed to relieve his nausea, but suddenly a heat that was like fire arose in his stomach and immediately shot into his throat.
While sticky liquids and smells are pouring out of his mouth, nose, and eyes, Do-kyeong holds his own neck and turns to look towards Su. Su lay very straight. His skin was pale bluish, both his hands were cupped politely, and a bumbling smile fell on his lips. He looks like a wax doll. Do-kyeong reached out to Su's chest carefully. Su's heart didn't beat. Do-kyeong places a finger under Su's nose, but does not feel a puff of breath.
The parking lot in a secluded park, a luxury sedan parked sideways, and the woman in the car who is either dead or just asleep. All of that was clearly a suspicious sight for anyone who saw it. Do-kyeong's brain immediately tells her to run away, but her body is unable to leave the car. He reached out to Su, but then shook his head and pulled his hand back. He could not leave Su here, but he could not take Su away from here either. Do-kyeong presses a button to lock the door, exits the car, closes the door, then tugs on the door handle to make sure the door can't open. In contrast to Do-kyeong, Su remains lying still like a doll inside a glass crate, like an illusion, that Do-kyeong can no longer approach.
Above it was an impassable uphill area, while below it was a very steep descending path. Both are not good choices. In the uphill area there are many rocks, branches, and tree roots that stick out in all directions, while the declining area is a muddy road that can make people slip, but not to mention, even when it doesn't rain. Do-kyeong chose the downhill road. In the blink of an eye, his legs moved even faster.
