Chapter 50: Cleaning Advice

What Laura did to Michael, caused the man to be forced to tie his wife's hands and feet in bed. Fortunately at the most critical moment, Sam comes and helps his master to escape.

This of course caused Michael to be increasingly worried about Laura's condition. He then contacted one of the specialist psychologists and psychiatrists to check it first. Before they arrived, Nathan arrived.

"What's going on?" nathan asked who had just arrived with a priest behind him. He was quite astonished to see the large number of people in his room. Moreover, Laura's condition is now tied in bed.

Michael just shook his head. He himself was confused by what happened. The shock of Laura's behavior had just made her also feel astonished and shocked. He seemed to be unfamiliar with Laura who was in front of him at this moment.

"Is he having problems?" ask a priest behind Nathan, telling Michael if anyone else was in the room. "Something was planted in him not long ago. I can smell the devil's breath."

Michael just scrunched his forehead and did not immediately believe it just like that. "What if what you say is not proven?"

"Then let me prove it" said the pastor sure. He was about to step closer, but was again stopped by Michael.

"Wait on! What if something happens to my wife because of your actions?" asked Michael with a sharp look.

"You can stay here and make sure if I won't do the thing you had in mind."

Hearing this, Michael gave up. He allowed the priest to get close to Laura, while Nathan went straight to the older brother.

"Who is he?" michael asked his sister with a focused look at Laura.

"Pastor Vincent, an exorcist in the region" Nathan replied.

Exorcists are people who perform exorcisms, believe it or not, but the fact that supernatural beings are indeed true in various places. Sometimes they do not interfere, unfortunately many have evil intentions to penetrate in humans. Whether intentionally or not. Especially if the human being itself is in an unstable condition like what happened to Laura.

Basically in humans, it is equipped with various devices that can protect it from the interference of evil spirits. However, the device is sometimes inactive because it is lost by negative energies that affect the mind and make humans lose control.

This loss of control can make the human defense fortress from the interference of evil spirits. The fortress is in the form of an aura emitted in the form of certain colors that can protect from the attack of negative energy.

The aura possessed by humans can be closed or thinned and weak. The weak aura was marked by the sheer thickness of its color radiance. The thicker the color of the aura, the stronger the defense.

There are four things that can cause the aura to be thin or even closed which is a sign that his defense is weak. One of them is that the overflowing anger will be able to make itself lose control, so that the aura is thinning even replaced by a negative aura. When the negative aura replaces the position of the positive aura will automatically be aligned with the negative energy, so that the evil spirit will easily enter and become the best nesting place of all evil.

"Can we talk outside, sir," said the pastor.

Michael and Nathan looked at each other. However, they agreed and allowed the pastor to come out and follow him.

Michael nodded. "We just took him away from Betharia?"

"Bethariah?" The priest breathed a heavy sigh. It was only fitting that the aura of the evil spirit residing in Laura felt so dense.

Betharia is not only famous for their border inhabitants, but also quite famous among the exorcists of the two countries. Their deep and frightening beliefs have become a hereditary scourge.

"Is there really a problem?" This time Nathan asked out of curiosity.

"Betharia is a region known for its devout devotees. They perform special rituals for worship at the expense of other humans in order to achieve something like what the supernatural whisper commands. For exorcists like us, of course we are very familiar with the area. It could be what happened to this woman because of something in her that was later taken advantage of by the Betharians" explained the Pastor, explaining what happened before he acted.

"Then, what can we do?" ask Michael.

"If, sir allows. We'll do a cleansing ritual. But I can't do it alone. For now let it be like this first, and I'll bring some other pastors tomorrow if you will" the pastor said.

"Of course we allow," replied Michael ahead of the agate, but quickly gained Michael's sharp gaze.

It was not easy for him to accept things that were beyond reason. Especially if what they do hurts Laura. Michael did not want to misstep and chose to be careful. "What is the guarantee that you're not cheating us?"

The priest smiled. "All options are in your hands, sir. The cleansing ritual is also witnessed by the family. So, you can be sure if we don't do anything harmful to him."

The expression Michael showed was quite understandable to the priest. Not everyone believes in supernatural things and believes more in medicine. "You don't have to worry, sir. Think of my offer first. But, do not take too long to stall because the longer the cleaning is pushed back. Then they'll be hard to clean and will eventually take over your wife's body."

"All right."

The pastor turned around to resign, but looked back at Michael for a moment. "Oh yes, Sir. If midnight something unnatural happens. No one comes near the madam! Especially physical contact. Because it could endanger you. They can disguise themselves as anyone and deceive humans with all their tricks. So, careful! Excuse me first."

After delivering his message, the priest left Michael and Nathan standing in his place. Meanwhile, Michael just stared at the passing of the priest until his back disappeared from view.

He then returned to the room, looking at Laura who was still silent on the bed with her body stretched out. Though his physical condition is still injured, but entering must experience the unexpected as well. "I will do anything to bring you back to me" Michael murmured inwardly.

There was a feeling of not being able to let Laura in such a bound state. But what can he do? Laura was not only trying to hurt others, but herself as well. So, for the time being it was just that, the best thing Michael could do for Laura's safety.

He even willingly slept on the sofa to make sure he was always near his woman. What a tough test for both couples never even romanticized each other.
