Missing In The Heart

Missing In The Heart
Chapters 121. Re-removed.

After returning from Paris on the first flight in the morning, Rachel went straight home to Penthouse. Without resting first, he immediately rummaged through Mahavir's study. Look for files or anything that has to do with America. Her conversation with Kimmy last night opened her mind to look for the whereabouts of her husband's hotels in America. At least he can figure it out through that.

Some of the maps that were once neatly arranged in the room are now partially scattered on the floor. Rachel kept looking like an evil person chasing time. The hands keep moving open sheet by sheet files from the drawer of the work table. Opens all hotel booklets under the auspices of the Alister Group.

"Toronto-Canada. Zurich-Switzerland. Paris-France. Singapore. Macau-Hongkong." Rachel continued to read one by one carefully. Ransacking from one drawer to another. Up to the bottom two drawers that are locked.

His gaze immediately circulated, looking for the existence of the drawer key. Until his gaze fell on the small key located on top of the small crystal bowl on the table. He remembers seeing the key when he broke the Vase first, when he found out Mahavir's identity.

Without a second thought, his hand grabbed the key and opened the last two drawers in his search.

The first drawer he opened was only a small box made of gold iron with a fancy stroke on his side. Rachel ignored the box and placed it on the table and continued to open the other drawer.

"Well, here it is." The handle once got a booklet with a small logo of the American flag on the cover. Information about hotels located in cities in the United States. Rachel quickly threw the other booklet onto the floor and opened the thick enough booklet on the table.

"New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Philadelphia, San Francisco,..." Both of his hands were raised pressing down on his temple. "Geez Vir, why are your father's hotels so many?" Complaints but still observe without missing any information.

"Oh my God, give me a hint." Sighs quietly while continuing to open sheet by sheet like endless.

"Vir, between these cities, where are you? Which hospital were you in?" He gripped his head with both hands. I found no clues at all. His brain was tired of thinking any further.

He watched the iron box in front of him for a while, before finally opening it slowly. His eyebrows reflexively shriveled as soon as he saw a piece of pink cloth. His lentic finger instantly trembled as soon as it lifted the square thin cloth from its place.

"Jeez Vir,....." The stools were sliced and a little annoyed but his eyes started to glaze over.

"It turns out you still keep this...." His bitter smile rose in tandem with a drop of clear grain that fell in the corner of his eyes.

Dijapnya soft pink cloth patterned princess character then bring it attached to his chest. Hugged him while sobbing in the name of the man.

"Why? Why am I just seeing this?"

Rachel cursed her new self to see the thing. If only he could have seen that thing earlier, it was possible that his ego-filled heart could have softened. It can remind itself of the good times. It was the only witness that he ever cared so much about the man. Where he used to love the figure of Mahavir who is still innocent. Rachel sobbed more and more, regretting everything that came too late.

He then remembered Risya's words about the handkerchief he saw in Mahavir's room. How foolish is he who is insensitive and ignores all that. But Rachel also realized how much she cursed and regretted it at this time, all would not return to the way it was. His mistake. This is punishment for him. Regrets always come in the end.

He threw his back against the back of the work chair. Closing his eyes with one hand, his fingers were twitching on the surface of the table, while the other hand was still holding the handkerchief. He remained silent until something finally came to his mind.

"****!!!!" His fist patted his forehead when he had just realized his stupidity. "Gosh, why don't I think about it? why am I just realizing it now?"

Rachel grabs her phone from her bag and calls Rey's number. Trying to ask at the hospital where Mahavir's father had been treated. But the number he dialed was connected to the operator. While about to repeat his call, his net was diverted to a number with a foreign territory code that tried to contact him many times just before he arrived in Paris last night.

His finger also reflexively dialed back the number. The voice of the woman with very fluent English raised her at the end there. Rachel's pupils instantly grew in shock as the woman mentioned the name of the location. The woman was just saying that there might be a patient using the phone. With a happy twinkle, Rachel grabbed the origin of the paper before her and recorded the full address spoken by the nurse at the end of the connection. Rachel could guess that maybe Mahavir was the one who tried to contact her through that number.

"535 East 70th Street, Manhattan. New York - America." He said repeating the hospital address as soon as his phone connection was cut off.

Vir, wait for us.' he muttered enthusiastically as he gently stroked his stomach which began to bulge.

Mr. James sighed heavily observing the results of a spine X-ray photo belonging to his son. As a result of the carelessness of the young man, the condition of his spinal cord injury worsened. Injuries to the nerves located in the channels (channels) of his spine cause disruption to some of his body functions, loss of motor sensors and control of motion. Causes paralysis that may occur in both legs and one arm.

The pressure of his temple was strong while looking closely at the results of the examination of the orthopedic surgeon, the emergency letter was printed clearly on the look of his face. And increasingly look riled up when later Mr. Forrer approached him and whispered something in his ear.

Mr. James rubbed his face rough after hearing that Rachel was on a plane bound for New York and it was likely that her plane would arrive soon. He did not expect that his daughter-in-law could catch up with him.

"It turns out you already know where it is...!" He cried while smiling cynically and then grumbling his teeth. "But I will no longer let you approach my son in the slightest! I'll prove my word to you, until you cry blood you won't see my son again." Kecamnya while gripping the strong base of the stick.

"Prepare a flight to canada!!!" His orders are unequivocally firm. Mr. Forrer stared at his superior for a split second, not expecting to be so cruel. But in the end he could only nod and bow respectfully then immediately prepare what was ordered.

Mahavir, who had just regained his senses, looked at the people around him, now he was tied back to his safe and could do nothing. The neck rubbing against his neck also made his movements more difficult. Even thrashing he was unable to because he felt a very piercing pain along his spine.

Mahavir sighed in pain as he rolled his eyes at Hannah. "What happened to me?" He asked as he felt part of his body as if numb.

"Hannah, tell me what's wrong with me?" Deuteronomy with a hoarse voice, trying to control his emotions.

"You're-you're fine. Relax, you'll be fine."

"No! I'm not okay. Why can't I move a part of my body?" Mahavir strangled in panic, trying his hardest to move his limbs.

"Vir, relax. Don't force yourself. You'll only make things worse if you continue like this." Then Hannah tried to calm him down.

"No, I can't be like this. I have to see him. He must be waiting for me."

"Who's waiting for you?" Sela Mr. James who suddenly appeared from behind the door. With the help of a stick, he limped into the room.

Mahavir's eyes twitched glancing at his father's arrival.

"Did you still think about that woman? Are you unconscious too?"

Mahavir glared at his eyes unable to accept with a hunting breath. "I'm just gonna believe I heard it straight from his mouth."

"Is that why you tried to run away to contact him? So how did it go? Did you manage to talk to him? No don't you? He may have changed his number, because he was no longer expecting you."

Mahavir just closed his eyes, it was clear that he was trying to pay attention to his ears for what he heard.

After one breath, Mr. James took out his cell phone. "Well, if you want to find out for yourself. You can contact him now. But on condition, if it proves that the woman no longer cares about you, you must forget about it and follow my wishes."

Mahavir opened his eyes and stared intently at his father. "She's not that kind of woman. He must be waiting for me."

"All right, let's prove it." Mr. James put his phone over Mahavir's chest. "Hannah, help this stubborn man contact her."

Hannah reflexively raised both eyebrows but finally grabbed the phone. "How many numbers?" Ask Mahavir. After Mahavir had spelled out a series of numbers he memorized out of his head, Hannah immediately pressed the call button. But many times even tried, the call is only connected to the operator.

Mr. James quietly smiled. "How's it?"

"Maybe he's busy or there's another obstacle." Mahavir was skeptical. He himself began to doubt.

"Alright, try to contact the office directly. Or the closest."

Mahavir glanced at Hannah and mentioned her wife's office number. The connection was connected but disappointment instantly ambushed Mahavir's heart. The guy at the other end said Rachel was in Paris. And unfortunately, Rachel's employees who do not know the purpose of Rachel to Paris only answer the origin if the leader took care of Fashion week there. None of Rachel's employees knew Rachel had returned from Paris and was on her way to America.

"Sounds yourself, right?" Asked Mr. James with a scornful look. "She's more busy taking care of her career than thinking of you."

Mahavir closed his eyes again. A sense of heat spread in both of his eyes.

"Other than you expected? Do you think a woman like her would want to take care of a sick man like you?" Ask loudly. "Don't fool yourself, son, you clearly know how your wife is!"

Mahavir did not respond, he kept silent with his eyes closed. It was just that his tears kept falling down his ears.

"Forget the woman son and go on without her!" Tell the middle-aged man firmly. He then turned his head and gestured to his secretary who had been standing in the doorway. A few seconds later, a doctor entered the room.

Mahavir looked at the astonished doctors who packed all the medical equipment around him and pushed his gurney.

"Where are you? Where am I going?"

"We're going to Canada. Said the doctor who handled you, the best orthopedic hospital in the world is in Canada. You'll have the best treatment there." Clearly the middle-aged man stepped on the side of the gurney that had been pushed out of the room. Hannah followed on the other side.

"No, I'm not going anywhere!" Mahavir tried to scream but his voice was muffled. "I said I'm not going anywhere!!" Deuteronomy.

His father exhaled an irritated breath hearing him and continued to ignore him. But Mahavir's screams become more and more so, making Mr. James finally ask the doctor to give him a shot of sleeping pills.

Just as he entered the special elevator, Mahavir was like seeing the shadow of Rachel who had just stepped out of the elevator opposite him. Mahavir tried to shout Rachel's name but her voice sank further with her thinning consciousness. She saw the woman walking in a hurry and getting away from her sight. Mahavir's wry eyes blinked many times trying to maintain consciousness. But it eventually fell asleep along with the closing of the elevator which took him up to the top floor where the helipad was located.
