"Ah, you're home." Joss said, with eyes that could not be separated looking at Audrey.

"Where are Chen and Ling?" Ask Aurel.

"They're in the room, they're playing."

Aurel rushed into the room of her two children. Audrey was still standing by the door.

Joss was still staring at Audrey.

Joss could clearly see that the little girl was terrified. His body trembled violently, his forehead and temple filled with sweat.

Oh gosh!

It's been over a year.

Joss hoped that Audrey had forgotten about the bad event, but it turned out that the aura of fear was still clearly visible in front of her eyes.

At once Joss felt that he was a monster, which made his own sister-in-law scared to death of him. All this time a tremendous sense of regret always haunted Joss' mind. Guilt often arises whenever his wife talks about his sister. It felt like Joss was eager to see Audrey, and begged for her forgiveness, but Audrey never wanted to go home.

And today, Joss was finally able to meet Audrey. The one who had been making his life feel uneasy.

Joss stepped her foot, approaching Audrey.

Audrey's body was getting cornered to the door. Joss could even hear Audrey's teeth rustling with fear.

"Audrey..." Call Joss carefully.

Audrey did not dare to raise her head.

"Audrey? Why are you still there? Let's go in." Aurel suddenly appeared.

"Yes. You better take her to her room. Your sister must be tired. Let him rest." Joss said then passed from in front of Audrey.

Aurel approached Audrey, surprised to see Audrey's body shaking violently.

"Audrey, what's wrong with you? Are you sick?" Aurel asked frantically, then held onto Audrey's forehead which was already drenched in cold sweat.

Audrey looked around. His heart was a little relieved as he no longer saw Joss there.

Audrey held Aurel's hand tightly.

"Ak, I'm fine brother. I just need a break. Please take me to my room."

"All right." Aurel replied with a bit of confusion.

After that, Aurel took Audrey to her room.

During her stay there, Audrey did not dare to come out of the room at all. He always locked the door tightly. Audrey will only come out if Joss has gone to work. And when Joss is not home, Audrey can just come out of her room to eat or play with Chen and Ling.

At first Aurel never put any suspicion on Audrey because she never wanted to eat one table with her husband. The more days, the more it became clear that Audrey never once faced each other or interacted with her husband. But Aurel thought that it was just his feelings. Audrey has been turned into a reclusive person since the death of their mother, which is why she keeps herself locked up in her room.

Joss always tried to talk to Audrey. But every time he was at home, Audrey seemed to deliberately avoid him. Joss repeatedly asked Audrey at dinner, but Aurel's answer was always the same. Audrey ate first.

On Sunday morning, Aurel knocked on Audrey's door.

"Audrey."

"Audrey, are you awake?" Aurel asked behind the door.

Audrey opened the door to her room.

"It's time for breakfast." Soft Aurel speech.

"Can you take her to my room?"

Aurel's speechless.

Audrey's been living in her house for a week. But Audrey locked herself in her room.

"Audrey, what's the matter? Why do you always lock yourself in your room?" Ask Aurel.

"How many times have I told you, brother. I'm fine."

Aurel breathed out his heavy breath.

"Today we're going to my in-laws' house. Do you want to come with us?" Ask Aurel.

"Sister Joss is coming too? I mean, did you all leave?"

"Yes." Yeah." Aurel replied briefly.

"Then I'm here, brother. Let me take care of the house."

"Are you sure?"

Audrey nodded quickly.

"We were there for a few days.."

"No problem, brother."

"All right then. Quickly eat there. We're leaving soon."

"Good, brother."

Aurel smiled, then rubbed Audrey's head gently.

Eventually Aurel and her husband and their two children went to her grandmother's house.

Audrey could breathe a little more, because she could finally move freely in this house for the next few days.

Audrey threw her tube over her bed. Audrey looked at the ceiling of her room. There was actually one more thing that was currently deeply troubling his mind.

Eric!

The man who has his girlfriend status has not contacted him for a week. Not even to ask her how she is doing.

Does Eric still think that he's still mad at her.

Actually Audrey just didn't like it when Eric alluded to his past. That's what made Audrey's attitude change at that time, even she came home with Aurel.

Audrey did not dare to tell Eric first, even though she really wanted to.

This was the first time Audrey had felt this feeling. Audrey didn't know that missing someone was so uncomfortable.
