Audrey nodded slowly. His eyes felt warm and swollen.

Audrey cried to Eric's arms and fell asleep. I don't know how long Audrey slept in Eric's arms.

Audrey looked up, looking at the faithful man listening to the story of his dark past. Audrey felt the weight of the burden that had been squeezing her chest felt reduced.

Audrey looked at Eric's face up close. That handsome face was closed. Audrey pulled the corners of her lips which she had never done.

Feels stiff.

After a long time hidden behind a mask.

That smile was finally created.

Very sweet.

"Eungh ....!"

Eric's eyelids frowned as he felt the warmth of the sun. The one that entered through the gap of the light blue thin curtains, Audrey's favorite color.

Audrey suddenly confirmed her sitting position, then turned her gaze in the other direction. Eric straightened his body, looking to his left and right side, looking for Audrey.

Eric's eyelids opened completely when he realized the little girl was sitting on his right side, with a slight look on Eric's back.

"Audrey ...." Call Eric softly.

Audrey did not dare to look at Eric.

Audrey is embarrassed. Very very embarrassed. Eric knows about his past.

Audrey herself had no idea why she could tell everything so easily to the man she just met. Even to his own brother he did not dare to tell it.

But when the man's big hand rubbed his back gently. Audrey felt so comfortable, that in an instant she forgot her trauma upon coming into contact with someone else.

Audrey did not know what reaction the man would show after knowing his past.

"Audrey ..." Eric again.

"Are you feeling better?" Ask Eric.

Audrey nodded. Then he hurried up from his seat. Eric saw Audrey looking for her mask.

"Audrey?"

Audrey was a little surprised. Just stand in front of Eric. His two hands intertwined, as if giving each other strength so that he dared to face Eric.

"Audrey, from now on you no longer need to hide your face in front of me. I've also seen your face a few times." Eric's speech was soft.

"Ak.

"Fear why?"

"All the misfortunes that have come upon me are caused by my face. My face is Eric's doom-bearer. I hate my own face! I don't want to have a face like this. I hate this face so much, Eric! I hate him so much!" Audrey rubbed her own face over and over again.

"Audrey! Stop Audrey! You could hurt your own face."

Audrey's back hiccups.

"Audrey, your face is not a bearer of doom. This face of yours is the beauty God has bestowed upon you. You should be grateful to have a face this beautiful."

Audrey looked at Eric.

"Trust me, Audrey. The calamity that befell you is not caused by your face, but by those jerks. Please, never hate your face. Please ..."

Audrey's sobs began to subside. Every word that came out of Eric's mouth was like a medicine that calmed his heart.

"If you can't show your face in front of a crowd, at least show it to me. You believe me, don't you?"

Audrey stared intensely into Eric's brownish-eyed bead. Audrey could see there was a glimmer of sincerity radiating there.

"Audrey, do you want to be my friend?" Eric held out his hand.

Audrey looked at Eric's hand for a few minutes.

Audrey slowly moved her hand, trying to reach Eric, who was still faithfully waiting for his hand. And when Audrey's tiny palm touched the surface of Eric's palm, Eric shook it tightly.

Audrey gave a bold look at Eric.

The man was smiling sincerely in front of him. The corners of Audrey's lips again created a beautiful line arch on both cheeks.

Makes Eric's heart flutter and move fast. Eric tried to hold back his feelings strongly.

This is just the beginning.

Eric just gained the trust of Audrey, something that is very hard to come by.

Kruyukk..!

Eric is shocked to hear Audrey's stomach.

Eric chuckled amusedly, while Audrey looked back down to hold back her embarrassment.

They missed their breakfast. It had even entered lunchtime, but not a mouthful of rice had entered their stomachs.

"I'm hungry, too, as we ate first." Eric.

Then Eric and Audrey walked towards the small table in the middle of the room.

Eric sat in front of Audrey.

Audrey prepares a meal for Eric on the plate, then thrusts the plate in front of Eric. After that, he ate the food for himself.

They also eat quietly. No more conversations between them. Only occasionally was the sound of spoons and forks clashing with plates.
