Audrey frowned as she felt the glare of the sun hit her eyes. Audrey rubbed her eyes slowly before she opened her eyes.

Audrey looked to the side, she was surprised to see Eric sleeping beside her with their hands clasping each other. He slowly releases his hand. Then he looked at the clock in the corner of his room. It's eight in the morning.

Audrey has awakened.

All this time he had never woken up and he had never been this late before. Thankfully, it's a holiday today. So he doesn't have to worry because of bad luck.

Audrey got out of bed, and then she took a shower.

Eric looks slumbering, Audrey can't bear to wake him up. Audrey plans to wake Eric up as soon as he finishes breakfast.

Not many groceries at Audrey's house, Audrey only prepared fried rice with a beef-eye egg on top. After that, he put his food on the table.

Eric awakens as his sense of smell sips the fragrance of food.

"Audrey? you awake?" Eric asked while yawning.

Audrey was silent while looking down.

"Sorry, I fell asleep last night. So I slept at your place"

Audrey remained silent.

"Audrey, I think you should move out of here. This place is not safe for you. Last night I saw a shadow of someone sneaking up behind your house. If only I hadn't seen him then, that man would have entered your house" Eric said.

"Why did you come to my house last night?" Audrey finally opened her voice.

Eric scratched his head that was not itching.

"Actually since I found out about your house. Every time I go home from work I come here. Just to see you from the outside"

Audrey stared intensely at Eric.

"And because of last night, I will stand guard in front of your house until morning"

Audrey covered her mouth with her hands. He was laughing silently without a sound. Seen from Audrey's slightly trembling shoulder.

Eric smiled as well.

"If you don't, you just stay in my apartment. I live alone too." Spontaneous Eric.

The tremors on Audrey's shoulder instantly stopped.

"Eu .... I was just kidding. Don't take it seriously" Eric said.

"I mean next to my apartment is empty. You can rent it, it's safer than you living here alone" Eric continued.

Audrey looked back.

"Audrey .... Can I get closer to you?"

Audrey raised her head. He looked at Eric.

"No one wants to be my friend." Answer Audrey slowly.

"I want. Please allow me to be your friend. If you're uncomfortable, you can ignore me on campus. But at least when we're both, you can't ignore me. We can chat, share our joys and sorrows, and anything. The important thing is that I get to know you more closely. How's it?" Ask Eric.

Audrey's phone suddenly shook.

Audrey stared at her phone screen at a glance, then received her call.

"City ... " Say Audrey flat.

"Hallo Audrey! How are you?" Ask someone across there.

"I'm fine, brother." Answer Audrey.

Eric can vaguely hear a conversation between Audrey and a woman he calls his sister.

"You haven't been home in a long time. You also never called if I wasn't the one who called you first."

"Sorry, I've been very busy lately."

"Aren't you going on semester break soon? When it comes, you don't want to know, you just have to go home."

Audrey exhaled her heavy breath.

"I can't promise you, brother."

"Sister doesn't want to hear any excuses from you. You have to go home! What's so good about a holiday there alone?! It's better to be here with us. Chen and Ling have missed you so much too."
