I was still stunned to see the bouquet of flowers that Baihaki had sent. My design client outside the office, who happens to be a friend of Deden's alma mater. Being too focused on the bouquet of flowers made me ignore my phone that kept ringing.
"Thank you first, Div. The sound of the mellow from earlier, where the know is important," said Baby wake me up from the attitude.
"Eh, yes," I said as I reached into the phone in the pocket of the black jeans I was wearing today.
My eyes narrowed slightly as I read the name on the caller screen. The name of someone who has been keeping me glued to a bouquet of flowers on the table. Baihaki contacted me, seemingly wanting to ascertain if the flowers from her had been received.
"Hello" I said kindly.
"Hello, Div. Have you received flowers from me?" ask Haki across the street, with a quiet voice that reconciles the heart.
"Yes. Thanks for the flowers, so beautiful. Why did you bother sending me flowers?" I asked because I did not understand the purpose of sending flowers.
"It just so happened that the time to go to the lewatin project of a fresh florist. And I remember your office being in the same direction, so purposely order a bouquet of flowers for you."
"That's a hell of a depot, yeah, geez. So it's good, uh, hehe," I said trying not to be too stiff, because I didn't know how to mince words.
Now I am being stared at with great scrutiny by my two co-workers, Deden and Baby. They were faithfully waiting for me to finish with this phone conversation. Because after that we had to have serious talks about some projects that were going on. And also have to prepare some material to follow the tender for the construction of a dam carried out by the Public Works Agency.
"You don't like it, do you? I'm too presumptuous, aren't I?" it sounded bad from across there.
"Like, really, Mas Haki. Not presumptuous, really, because there is a more presumptuous usually," kekehku at the end of the sentence while turning the eyeball remembered the sassiness of Adit who claimed to be my future husband.
Hearing Haki's name I said, just suddenly made Deden focus more on his gaze. While I just shake the shoulder sign not to take a headache.
"I'm sorry, yeah, it's disrupted your work time. If so, Div."
"Eh, yes, Mas. You're excited, yes, it's work today," that's all I can say before I break this conversation.
"Crazy! That's Haki's friend Deden, Div?" baby asked curiously while shaking my hand.
Reluctant to respond too much, I just nodded my head in response. And after that took a bouquet of flowers from Haki, brought it to my desk along with a bouquet of flowers from Adit. Looks like I'm already fit to be a fresh florist. Because my desk looks like it, a very unusual sight.
"Yuk on the job. Run this project I want a leave of absence, want to take plumber certification," said I took an A3-sized paper, where there is a site plan project that is ongoing.
...----------------...
"Yes!"
Ow hell! This voice again, just this morning heard this voice. My early morning stint begins with her voice, and my afternoon closes with her voice as well. It was annoying, but I couldn't possibly yell in annoyance in the office lobby. "What, anyway, you?" my grumbling with a stifled voice.
"You see you, yeah."
"Diddeliver! Why do you want me to come to the office? Talk to Uncle Haikal again. Lack of work," I was annoyed as I folded both hands in front of my chest facing this tall man.
"It is precisely because I lack work, that's why you come here. I'll drive you home, yuk."
"You were on the bus too, so you'd like to let me go home."
"Yes too, anyway. We'll take the bus together, but I'll eat first."
Yep! She was Karel whose name was mentioned earlier by Uncle Haikal. This man is a friend of my Junior High, and also the son of my family friend. What, yeah, the term? Family relation. But what makes me reluctant is not that he's a resounding Junior High friend. We have become more than just friends.
Karel chose to be quiet, he did not respond at all to my words. Even until now we have been standing at a stop not far from my office. There was no conversation between us for a while before the bus arrived. I don't want our conversation to be someone else's concern. Moreover, I do not guarantee that I can withstand my emotions if it lingers with him.
The bus with the route to my apartment had arrived, I walked quickly to enter it. Followed by Karel at the back, but I was grateful he did not take a seat by my side. But my gratitude turned out to be only temporary, his sense of relief did not last long when his magical voice sounded right behind my ears.
"Yes. Why, the hell, are you still mad at me? Though it happened a long time ago," he asked very ignorant.
"Heh, koplak! You think it could be that easy to forget what you made me first?" I was reluctant to look.
"When I had asked maat, I did not intentionally at that time," he explained, he made me turn the eyeball lazy.
Silent.
I again chose silence, reluctant to respond and put earphones in my ears. Trying to make my body and mind more comfortable after being tired of work. My playlist this time is songs belonging to IU, a famous Korean singer. Hopefully Karel will no longer try to talk to me. Because I'm tired.
My eyes had just closed for a moment when my phone rang with a bang. Until my mouth spits out inappropriate words because of my bad habit. "Eh, big pig ngok ngok ngok."
Silent.
I stared in horror at my surroundings, where everyone's gaze was directed at me. Why stay in a public place, anyway? So shy. Bad, this is.
"Thank you for your phone, yeah. Think shame later," said Karela who knew that I was panicking and embarrassed at the same time.
"Hello," I replied a little lethargic, and I didn't know who was across there because I didn't see the caller's screen.
"Newly not connected for a moment, already weak," kekeh someone across there whose voice I know very well.
I keep my phone away, I stare the name on the screen and, yes. Aditya who he said would be very busy handling the case in Surabaya was contacting me.
"She was busy. How can you call me?" manya curious.
"I've just got a hotel, so I can have time to call you."
"Nyampe Surabaya directly work?"
"Yes, Honey. So tired, and after hearing your voice I feel recharged again," came the crisp sound, and honestly I also felt the same.
"That's a big you. Already eaten?"
"I'm honest you don't believe it either, so it's up to you. Not yet, later want to eat with clients and other lawyers. What a shame today?"
"Ordinary kayaking work. Just a little excited because today I can sendina 2 bouquets."
"2? The only one from whom?" the sound of his voice was high, although not a clash, but I did not like it.
"My client first."
