Chapter 63

Kania flinched as both of Devan's burly hands coiled around her stomach. Kania let the hand continue to circle in her stomach even though it actually disturbed her movements that were cooking breakfast for her little family.

Since last night Kania still silences Devan. It still feels so upset because Devan's actions that make him embarrassed. Should you talk like that in front of others? Especially in front of Rama. Can't Devan just keep Rama feeling a little bit?

Not that Kania still loves Rama. But he's just shy. Shame when Devan talks about things that he thinks no one else needs to know.

"Honey. I'm not, I'm sorry. Time is still crashing, huh? Where I didn't get rations last night. Sleep is not a hug either. Last night was empty."

Kania held back her smile. Funny to hear Devan's spoiled complaints. It's not just Devan who felt his night so empty last night. Kania is the same. It feels different if sleep is not hugged or hugged Devan.

But Kania persisted with her silence just to teach Devan a lesson. That not everything he could do just like that according to his wishes.

"I'm sorry, dong, honey. Don't you think the same as me?"

Turning off the stove because the cooking was ripe, Kania then turned her body to face Devan. Looking at Devan's face with a slightly sharp look. Just a skit because the original Kania wanted to laugh seeing Devan's facial expression.

"Don't repeat, Mum. I'm ashamed I said that to someone else. Let us ourselves know of such a problem. No one else needs to know."

"Yes, honey, ready! Sorry, yeah."

Finally Kania nodded and smiled. Makes Devan tighten his embrace. Smell Kania's face without missing a part of Kania's face.

"Udah, don't kiss. Not even a shower!"

"You're taking this bath just like you, honey."

"Eh, there's nothing!"

"Kan, last night didn't get rations, honey. I took it this morning."

"No one is like that, Mom. I took a shower!"

Despite the weight of the taste, Devan still obeyed Kania's orders so that she immediately took a shower and got ready for the office. This morning failed to take overnight rations that were not given.

This morning Kania again dipped a testpack into her urine that had been accommodated in a small container.

One thing he routinely did the last few days when Kania realized that he had been a week late for the month.

If the moon came late was something he did not expect, but now he is waiting.

Not Kania want to rush pregnant considering only this month she and Devan so intensely do husband and wife relationships after three months more married.

But if Allah predestines sooner, Kania and Devan will certainly be very happy because Devan is also waiting for Kania's pregnancy.

But unfortunately, the testpack results still show the same results as yesterday. Negatively.

Kania plans to do a blood test if until the day after she does not come the month or the testpack results are still negative. Usually a blood test will be more accurate than a testpack.

Kania sighed softly and put her used testpack and container into the trash can in the bathroom before Devan learned of her actions that she did every dawn.

Intentions want to surprise, but apparently God has not allowed it. Yes already. It's better Devan doesn't know this first. Instead of knowing, then hoping and finally disappointed.

"Home home, Mom?"

Kania put on the face as cheerfully as possible when Devan had just entered the room after returning from the mosque for dawn prayers. Covering all the feelings that disturb his mind and heart. The testpack results are still negative that makes Kania's heart so sad.

"Why, Honey?"

"Why what?"

"Your eyes are swollen. Crying out?"

"Huh? No, ah. Got hit by this water before." Kania is looking for an excuse. He turned his face away so that Devan could not notice Kania's eyes.

"Don't lie."

"Not lying, Mom. I miss you the same. The bed is ready." Kania glanced at the messy bed that had not been tidied up because of last night's struggle. Trying to distract Devan.

"Tumben ask first? Usually it has to be seduced first."

A small laugh came out from Kania's lips. "Mas Devan won't?"

"Surely will, dong."

Kania laughs again and receives every touch Devan gives.

"Wait, Mom."

"Why?"

Without answering Devan's question, Kania immediately ran to the bathroom.

Kania's cry broke right then and there when she saw the red patches on her pants. He's coming to the moon.

"Honey. Why so long?" Devan knocks on the door and calls Kania. Kania is still trying to stop her crying.

Kania raised the flow of water on the faucet to dampen her cries. "Before a while, Mas," he said while holding back a sob.

After feeling quite calm, Kania finally came out of the bathroom with a puffy face. And Devan was waiting for Kania in front of the bathroom.

"Why, Honey? You cry?"

Kania immediately hugged Devan. He could no longer hold back his tears. "Sorry, Mom."

"I'm coming another month."

Devan breathed a sigh of relief. "You're why-why, dear. I'm so worried."

"Not sad?" Kania ventured to look at Devan.

"Sad why?"

"Because I'm not pregnant. Don't you want me to get pregnant fast, huh?"

Devan laughed softly. "I want so. But if God doesn't love to be angry?"

Hearing Devan's reply, Kania's tears flowed even more profusely. He knows Devan is disappointed. Only Devan is so clever to hide everything.

"Udah, Honey. Later if we have finished our period again. Noon no stop."

"Lt!"

Devan laughs. "Not so this morning, dong?"

"Sorry, yes, Mas. Replace it later when it's done, deh, non stop." Kania imitates Devan's speech. They made the two laugh together. Forgetting the disappointment that both of them felt because today Kania had her monthly guest arrival. Kania is not pregnant.

***

Today Kania is not eager to do anything. In addition to still feeling sad because she is not pregnant, also because the effects of the first day of menstruation that always makes her lazy to do activities.

Kania doesn't cook, doesn't pick up Shaka, doesn't come to the store, doesn't come to Devan's office. All he did all day was sleep and laze after the housework was over.

Tonight is Sunday night. As usual, Shaka must have been to his grandparents' house, or Opa and Omanya. The child seemed to deliberately give an opportunity so that both parents can be alone.

Ah, not really. Grannies and grandparents want Shaka with them on Sunday night. Usually it will alternate. And tonight Shaka is at Bram and Hanum's house.

Kania sat down uneasily because at nine o'clock in the evening, Devan had not yet returned home. That caused concern in Kania's heart. It's not usual for Devan to come home late without giving him news like this.

Kania's bad thoughts are broken by the sound of Devan's car entering the yard. Kania opens the door for Devan.

"Just come home, Mom?"

Devan nodded and smiled faintly. His face looks very tired. Pull Kania's hand and bring her inside the house. The air tonight is so cold. "Not slept?"

"I'm waiting for Mas Devan. I'm afraid Mas Devan's coming home at this hour."

Devan kissed Kania's forehead for a moment. "Thank you, honey. But Mas still has to finish the job for a while."

"What not tomorrow. They look tired, you know."

"Awhile, really."

"I'll make you some coffee?"

"Can. Take it to my workroom, yeah."

"Yes, Mum."

Kania immediately prepare hot coffee for Devan so that the fatigue is slightly treated. Kania is still thinking about why Devan came home tonight. He doesn't usually take his job home.

"The coffee."

"Put it on the table, honey. You can sleep first. Soon it will be."

"Yes, Mum."

After putting hot coffee on Devan's desk, Kania intends to return to the kitchen. But unfortunately his leg tripped Devan's leg slightly forward beyond the table. His hand that tried to hold on to the edge of the table actually nudged the coffee glass and made the entire contents spill onto the stack of Devan's work paper.

"CANY!!!"

Kania flinched as Devan snapped at him loudly. His heart is beating fast. Kania is afraid of Devan.

"Couldn't be careful, anyway? This paper is important. Now it's all messy!"

"Sorry, Mas. I wasn't intentional." The sound of Kania shaking. Fear and want to cry to hear Devan's screams.

"I helped you clean up, yeah. Any more, on print, or what can I help you with, Mas?"

"Where do you know about my work? College is not!"

Kania's heart felt on the prick of thousands of knives hearing Devan's outrageous remarks. Her tears fell. His heart ached hearing Devan's words and screams tonight.

"Mas."

"WHAT!!!"

Kania bit her lower lip to hold the sob. Her chest tightened as she tried not to cry in front of Devan. "You forgot who made me quit college? Have you forgotten who ruined my dream? Wicked you, Mas."

Roughly Kania rubbed the tears flowing down her face. He slammed the tray he was holding and left Devan's study with his heart so sore.

"Aaaarrayggghhh!"

There was a cry from Devan in his study. But Kania doesn't care. His heart is sick.
