People say, pesantren is a paradise for religious science claimants, homes and schools for students and a gathering place for religious experts to channel knowledge to the nation's successors.
But not with the long-haired beautiful girl, for him the pesantren was nothing more than a prison that people said to call a holy prison, a place where sinners and freedom-worshippers seclude themselves from the outside environment and from promiscuity.
The beautiful brown-eyed girl with the tiny body could now only stare at the strange-looking environment in her eyes, where in the large enough gate was a writing, which was written,
Ahlan wa sahlan fii Ma'had Islamic Jihad (welcome to Islamic Jihad Islamic boarding school)
Ulfi certainly does not know the meaning of the writing that uses the hijaiyah letter, let alone know the meaning, he even forgot how to read it.
"This is not grandfather's house" he murmured, recalling how he got to a place with a fence high enough.
Well, that morning after Ulli was picked up by his father's secretary from the police station, he was immediately taken home to await the arrival of his parents.
While lying on his soft bed, Ulli turned to the side staring in puzzlement at his domestic assistant who was busy packing Ulli's clothes into a suitcase.
"Bi, why was Ulli's clothes put in the suitcase?"
"So Mr. Rashid said she wanted to take the lady on vacation to Grandpa's house."
"Huh? Really true?" pekik surprised.
"Yes, non."
"That means father and mother are not angry with Ulli because of last night's incident" he said, looking at the ceiling of his room.
Shortly after, his other housekeeper came to Ulfi's room with a new suitcase.
"Excuse me miss," said the assistant as he stood at the door of Ulfi's room.
"Well, what's that suitcase anymore?" tanya Ulfi was confused.
"I don't know, the master's secretary came to bring him, he said to give to grandfather," replied the assistant.
"Ooh." Ulfi ber oh ria, he did not suspect at all the contents of the suitcase, at most it was just souvenirs for the grandfather, he thought.
Because of last night's problems, Uelfi is currently feeling so tired and sleepy, that he finally fell asleep in his sleep in just a few minutes after speaking.
The day looked shady that afternoon, the sun was leaning more and more towards the west. Ulfi awoke as she felt her body was in a swaying place, slowly he circulated his gaze in all directions until he finally realized that he was currently in a car driving on the highway where his parents were in front.
"When did my mom and dad come?" he said slowly with a hoarse voice waking up.
"Ulfi, you finally woke up too dear, we just arrived earlier when you were in deep sleep," said Hana's mother while looking behind where Ulfi was sitting at this time.
"Are we going on vacation to Grandpa's?" tanya Ulfi wanted to make sure.
"Dear, we'll be at the airport soon" replied Rashid's father, who was driving the car.
Their car now arrived at the airport, Rashid's father swiftly dropped off 2 suitcases that had been prepared beforehand for Ulli.
"This is your ticket, son, come in" Rasyid said, giving Ulli a plane ticket.
Ulli furrowed his brows looking at the ticket that was in his hand at the moment. "Why just Ulli? What about mom and dad?" Hearing Ulfi's question, Rashid paused for a moment and turned to his wife.
Hana just turned her face away from Uldi so that her tears would not be seen, it was so painful to take off her beloved daughter like this, but there was no other way.
"Father and mother are still busy, so for this holiday you will go alone, after our business is done, we will try to catch up with you," Rashid replied later.
"Yes, the holidays will be later if the father and mother are not busy anymore, let us go together," said Ulfi.
"Go first son, your grandfather is waiting," asked Rashid's father while holding both shoulders of Ulfi.
Although Ulfi initially insisted on not wanting to go alone, but after being persuaded by Rashid's father for various convincing reasons, Ulli finally agreed.
Now Ulfi waved his hand at his parents before he finally entered and disappeared behind the departure gate.
Meanwhile, Hana's mother's cries instantly broke as the princess was nowhere to be seen again. Rashid could only sigh heavily at his daughter's departure with her eyes already reddened and dewy.
After traveling for approximately 8 hours, Ulli was finally dropped by the driver of a car that Hasan's grandfather had ordered to pick him up at the airport this afternoon. When he first got out of the car, Uelfi took care of his surroundings, he immediately felt himself lost and misaddressed when he realized that the place where he stood today was not his grandfather's house as before and he did not know the place at all.
Ulfi began to panic, his heart began to pound with irregular breathing again, his mind was not calm at the moment, fear was now beginning to approach him, but to whom he had to ask for help, time has now shown at 11pm. The day was getting darker and quiet, there was only him alone who was in front of the gate that was towering quite high.
"Dad, mother, where's grandfather?" he muttered trying to turn on the flashlight on his phone and wanted to contact his parents. But unfortunately, it seems good luck has not been on his side, because his phone has now run out of battery.
He slowly walked to the gate and squatted down to his knees, hoping that someone could help him. Suddenly a flashlight from someone was seen from a distance, making him feel a little relieved. The longer the flashlight was getting closer to him, Ulli himself could not see who the person carrying the flashlight was.
"Assalamu 'alaikum, Uldi," the voice of the twilight-aged man greeted him. Ulli squinted his eyes to see who was behind the flashlight.
"Grandfather?" pekik Uldi without answering his grandfather's greeting as his grandfather's face now began to be clearly seen before him.
"If there is a greeting, answered first son," interrupted Hasan's grandfather gently.
"Yes, wa'alaikum hail kek," he replied excitedly.. "Grandfather, Uldi was very upset with the driver of the car, he dropped Ulli at the wrong address" he said as he approached Hasan's grandfather.
Grandpa Hasan only smiled then walked towards the large gate.
"Why would grandpa come in? Let's go home to grandpa's house, it's creepy, "he said, pulling Hasan's grandfather's hand until his steps stopped.
"It's where Grandpa is now,"
For a moment Ulfi was silent while observing the building inside, the building was quite large and not only one, but consisted of several buildings and a mosque, visible from its tall and glittering dome.
"No, this is not grandfather's house," Ulli quickly replied as she shook her head with a foot that stepped back slowly.
"Come in first and grandfather will tell you everything" said Hasan's grandfather and then stepped back in.
With a heavy heart, Ulfi followed his grandfather's steps until they entered through the gate that was high enough.
Hasan's grandfather then locked the gate after making sure Uldi had entered, he then turned towards the grandson who still looked confused.
"Listen to grandfather well, grandfather is now living here with his best friend, this is a boarding school, and from now on you will live here, school here and worship here, and, your mom and dad agreed to everything."
"From now on your atm card will be blocked by your father, if you need money, then come to grandfather, your phone will also be confiscated grandfather for a while," continued Hasan's grandfather.
"What?" pekik Ulfi did not accept, even his two eyebrows were almost intertwined as he looked towards the grandfather who had given him his name at birth. His body was like it had just been electrocuted, unable to move, as if what he was experiencing right now was just a dream but real.
While Hasan's grandfather was silent for a moment staring at the grandson.
"Ulfi," call Hasan's grandfather later.
"Grandfather, don't joke with Ulli," his great-grandson in a voice that started to shake.
"Did grandfather look joking at this time, Ulfi?"
Glug
Ulfi could only swallow his saliva when he saw the look in his eyes that looked so firm, he slowly shook his head to answer the grandfather's question and lowered his head.
"You're evil!" ulfi began to sob
"Hiks, you are evil, you set Uldi up, said father and mother, Ulli will just take a vacation at grandfather's house, but what now grandfather even brought Ulli to the boarding school, it doesn't look cruel and selfish, trapping Uldi just to your satisfaction" Ulli continued with a hardened jaw and a powerful clenched hand. Ulli was both angry and disappointed with his family at this time.
"We never felt like setting you up, Grandpa did live here. After all, if your parents say that you will be taken to the pesantren, of course you will refuse, right? Let's just say this is our way of persuading you."
Ulli shook her head, her breath hunting with tears rising in the river drenching her smooth cheeks. His chest felt tight and somehow his tongue felt like he was not allowed to speak at all.
"Ulfi, forgive us, but this is all for your sake. All this time you have been free enough, living without seeing the rules, therefore, grandfather hopes that you can slowly master yourself from your free passions, get out of your comfort zone and move to a new zone, even if it's not easy."
"Remember, from now on, you will live a new life behind a sacred prison called pesantren, he said, in shackles by handcuffs named rules of fiqh and aqidah and given food in the form of the Qur’an and hadith."
