38. Punishment

During his stay at Dante Hospital he was closely monitored by police and medics there. In front of Dante's hospital room there's always a police officer on guard. This was done to prevent Dante from escaping again.

After two days of treatment at the Regional Hospital, Dante was transferred to POLRI Hospital in Jakarta. Ambulance cars and police were also set up. The police escort is the police of choice. Before being put in the ambulance, Dante's hands were again handcuffed and linked to the bed iron. Feeling inhumane treatment Dante also protested.

“ Why should be handcuffed everything. What are the circumstances I am not enough as a guarantee if I will not run away. You guys

“ Don't talk about Dante's conscience. Where is your conscience when you slaughter innocent children just to fulfill your perverted ambition.?!” heru said loudly.

Heru's loud voice made Dante, the medical and police officer who escorted him silent. Even the medics who helped treat Dante seemed to stare resentfully at Dante.

“ We have to do this considering you've run away before. So don't blame us for treating you like this.” Heru said again as it passed.

After putting Dante's body into the ambulance, the car appeared to exit the Hospital to the toll road. The trip this time must pass through teak and rubber plantations. Faiq was in the front car with Heru, while Fatur chose to be in the rear car with several police officers who escorted the ambulance Dante was riding.

Inside the ambulance Dante looks agitated. His eyes looked at the car window anxiously. Dante was worried if the boar demon followed him or possessed him again. Suddenly the car Faiq and Heru were riding stopped. The car makes two cars behind it

Fatur turned his head to see what was happening with the car Faiq and Heru were riding in. Because no

able to see the car in front, Fatur decided to go down to ensure the condition of his two nephews.

“ Where are you going Sir..?” ask one of the police.

“ Sorry, but you better get back to the car. Here too dangerous sir...” another police alert Fatur.

“ Insya Allah gapapa, I just want to check for a moment..,” said Fatur.

The cops that were with Fatur couldn't do much. They went out to escort Fatur who stepped quickly to the car where Faiq and Heru were.

“ Kids, you guys are gap...?!” ask Fatur loudly.

“ Someone tried to block us in front there Om. I'm stopping until dawn so we don't have to fight with 'them' anymore. Later near dawn they will go alone without us to drive away because that is the rule right..,” said Faiq while glancing at the clock on his wrist that shows the number 03.56 in the morning.

“ You're right Son. Only a few minutes left will come at dawn. We can walk and find a mosque

nearest to dawn prayer..,” said Fatur while patting Faiq on the back as a sign if he agreed with Faiq's decision to avoid collisions with the teak forest inhabitants.

“ Then you can go back to your place, watch the ambulance. Don't let him run away again..,” Heru's orders to the two policemen who were escorting Fatur out earlier.

“ Ready Sir...,” say the two cops together.

While waiting for the coming dawn in a matter of minutes Faiq, Fatur and Heru chatted warmly in the street. Illuminated by bright car lights make the atmosphere quiet and gripping it slightly warmed.

But the calm atmosphere was disturbed by Dante's scream from inside the ambulance. Apparently the pig demon came back and terrorized Dante. Fatur and Faiq didn't know about it. But they deliberately let the pig demon terrorize Dante because they were upset about Dante's actions on the innocent children. As Heru moves in to check on Dante, Faiq and Fatur prevent him.

“ Ga need Her...,” says Fatur and Faiq together.

“ Why...?” ask Heru not understand.

Dante breathed a sigh of relief when he no longer encountered the demon pig in front of him. In his heart Dante regretted having obeyed Suroso first. Arriving at East Jakarta Police Hospital, Dante was immediately isolated in a special room at Heru's request. During

being treated there Dante's legal process goes on. After his recovery Dante was detained in the Salemba rutan.

Dante's inaugural hearing attracted the attention of many residents including parents of victims of the Dante massacre. Amongst

they are seen Boy, Gen and Han's parents sitting in the visitor's seat. They received word from the police that his son had died and was buried in a former playground not far from their home. At first they were ready and prepared for the worst. But when they heard the news directly from the police, they were very hit.

Boy, Gen and Han's remains have been properly interred. Because the three playmates and died together, the family buried their bodies side by side. No one knows the exact cause of Boy, Gen and Han's death because the police kept the actual fact meeting. Police only said that the three children died as a result of the construction made carelessly by Dante for personal gain. And now their families are present at the trial to demand justice for the three poor boys.

The trial went wrong because Dante was more silent when asked by the Prosecutor or the Judge. The lawyer who was there was confused. Not without reason Dante went on strike. Because if he speaks out of his mouth is not a sentence or words like a human but a sound like a person snoring during sleep. Realizing that it was one form of punishment given by the pig demon for him, Dante could do nothing. Dante answered only with a nod or a sling of the head and a wave of the hand as sign language.

After a very tough trial due to Dante's limitations in answering all questions of judges and prosecutors, the sentence was handed down. Dante was convicted and sentenced to death. The judge's statement made the courtroom crowded as all residents and parents of the victims screamed in satisfaction.

As per the police statement, in addition to causing children to be killed, some adults also became victims of Dante's negligence. Even Dante also made his son and wife as guinea pigs from the game he made.

Dante just looked down lethargic to hear the verdict read out by the judge. No defense or objection from Dante's mouth. He accepted the judge's sentence with a large chest. For Dante it's better to die than to be terrified of continuous terror by a pig demon.

The following days Dante spent in prison in silence. He was waiting for the time of execution
