230. Little Drama
That afternoon Pandu and Wira fulfilled Paul's invitation. Paul's house seems crowded by citizens who are happy with the marriage of Mirva. The wedding reception that was originally planned was simple turned into a party because of the support of Paul's neighbors.
The event that was held in the courtyard of Paul's house did look lively. There were three tents held, one for the stage of the bride, the other two for the guests.
When he saw Pandu and Wira, Paul stood up and spread his hands to make Pandu and Wira a little embarrassed because of the excessive attitude that Paul showed.
“ Please Mr. Pandu, Mr. Wira.” Paul said with a smile.
“ Thanks. Congratulations sir, now you have a daughter-in-law.” said Pandu greeted nods of head and a smile by Paul.
Then Pandu and Wira approached Mirva and Sein who looked harmonious on the guarantee. Seeing the presence of Pandu made Mirva a little nervous. But Pandu was friendly as if nothing had ever happened between him and Mirva.
“ Congratulations Mirva and Bung Sein, may your household sakinah mawaddah warohmah..,” Pandu said while cupping both hands in front of the chest.
Hearing Pandu's words made Sein frown. Seeing her husband like that, Mirva understood. Not wanting to make the husband's suspicion increase, Mirva also welcomed Pandu's remarks while cupping both hands in front of the chest.
“ Thank you Sir, please send my greetings to Mr. Pandu's Wife yes..,” said Mirva with a smile.
“ Insya Allah siaaapp...,” Pandu joked while showing the perfect attitude to make Sein and Mirva laugh.
Sein also seemed to sigh in relief because he finally knew that Pandu was not Mirva's ex-boyfriend. Even Sein saluted with the attitude of Pandu who was willing to be present after Mirva made a drama that made her good name a little tarnished.
Paul seemed happy that day. A smile spread across his face that was no longer young. Paul and Sein's father were happy. Leisurely the two went around while greeting the guests present. But unfortunately Paul's smile faded when the noise was heard in the bridal tent.
Apparently Magung, the insane man who is Mirva's ex-girlfriend comes to disturb. He yells while cursing Mirva to make Sein's mother and Mirva's neighbors panic.
“ Why you even married someone else Mirva. How's my. Didn't you make me lose everything ?. Great yes You, after successfully destroying my life and the lives of your ex-boyfriends, just as much as you forget everything and marry him. I'm not willing you're happy Mirva. You also have to suffer like me..!” magung said loudly while pointing at Mirva.
Hearing Magung's words made Sein turn towards Mirva who is now officially his wife. Mirva seemed to be staring at Sein and Magung alternating with trembling bodies.
“ Brother Sein, I can clear everything..,” said Mirva as she grabbed Sein's arm.
Sein was silent and just looked at Magung who was cursing at it without caring about Mirva's words. Magung's speech was getting uncontrollable and it made Mirva sad and embarrassed. But on top of that Mirva is worried that Sein will leave her as she once did to her ex-boyfriend's future wife. Mirva used to accidentally make her ex-boyfriend abandoned by their future wife before the wedding day or even on their wedding day. And now Mirva doesn't want to experience the same thing.
“ Will Brother leave me after hearing his words..?” mirva asked with a trembling voice while holding Sein's arm.
Sein did not answer and it made Mirva panic. Mirva is terrified of losing Sein, the man she has long loved who is now officially her husband. Mirva swallowed her saliva hard while looking at Sein's meaningful gaze. Mirva knew the meaning of that gaze.
Slowly Mirva released her hand from Sein's arm then let out a long sigh. Mirva seems resigned if Sein will leave him after knowing what he has done in the past. Mirva lowered her face and tried hard to face everything.
“ I won't let my wife endure it all alone.” Sein said suddenly to the surprise of Mirva.
“ Brother Sein...,” call Mirva hesitate.
“ That's all your past. I'm sure you've repented and regretted it now. Let's move forward together, we'll face it all. Don't be afraid, you're not alone. I will always accompany you, forever.” Sein said with a smile and grabbed Mirva into his arms.
Magung was successfully persuaded with good food and some money. Magung looks according to when given a plate of rice complete with side dishes.
“ Don't get angry again huh. Are you not tired of being so rich.?” ask Paul's neighbor.
“ I'm not tired..!” sahut Magung ketus's.
“ Oh that's it. Are you not hungry, I have food you know.” said neighbor Paul while showing a plate of rice equipped side dishes appetizing.
“ I'm hungry, I want to eat..” said Magung while rubbing his hungry stomach with eyes that stare at the plate containing rice.
“ May, but We eat it there yuk...,” invite citizens.
“ Yes...,” sahut Magung then follow the citizens who took him out of Paul's home page.
Then Magung was brought over to enjoy the food. Afterwards Magung was escorted back to his home by several residents.
While Pandu and Wira were silent and stared at each other after watching everything. Then they went back to enjoying the dishes prepared by the host. Then they left Paul's house.
“ We are all saying goodbye because We have to return to Jakarta in the near future Pak..” Pandu said.
“ The plan is when Mr Pandu comes home.?” ask Paul.
“ Don't know yet Sir. We're soldiers, we're just waiting for Commander's orders. If the Commander says come home Tuesday, yes we'll be home Tuesday. But if the Commander says go home now, Yes We can't do anything sir.” joked Pandu to make Paul smile.
“ Yes too. But I am happy to get to know Mr. Pandu, Mr. Wira and other friends. Thank you also because Mr. Pandu wants to help Me and Mirva. Please forgive my son if ever make Mr. Pandu uncomfortable living and serving here.” said Paul.
“ Gapapa Sir. All I consider the risks of work. It is common and should not be considered too heavy. The important thing is that Mr. Paul is still maintaining health and maintaining stamina so that he can hold the Grandchild later.” said Pandu while patting Paul's arm.
Paul laughed happily at Pandu's words. He imagined himself holding a granddaughter that Mirva would be born with. After that Paul also released the departure of Pandu and Wira with a smile expands even though both eyes glazed.
“ They've left Sir..?” ask Sein's father.
“ Yes Sir. They also want to go back to Jakarta because their task here has been completed.” said Paul while wiping the wet end of his eyes.
“ His words Mr. Paul is quite close to the soldier..” said Sein's father again.
“ Yes. He's a good man sir. He still wants to help Me and Mirva even though Mirva has embarrassed him.” Paul said.
Sein's father nodded in understanding. He did not continue his question because he did not want to open Paul's old wounds.
