The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
Harsa vs. The Big Brother (4)

They swim on the beach until the afternoon. After a shower and a short break, they went to dinner. This time, despite the doubt, Adi did not refuse to attend dinner. His eyes widened when trying fish, shrimp, and shellfish meat.

“Enak’?” erik asked in a triumphant tone.

Shameful, Adi replied. “Ya.. but it feels useless.” He said he was still wondering if he liked to eat or not.

“It's really your first time eating?” harsa asked not understanding her stepbrother.

“Ya.” Adi replied while shrugging her shoulders, as if it was no big deal. Harsa's mouth opened in wonder. “Kasarewang quite alive with physis.” Added Adi.

“Be careful which it is spicy.” Erik warns when Adi wants to taste the crab sauce.

Late, Adi hunted to taste the field sauce. “Gahh!!------??!!” His face flushed and his tongue came out in panic. Harsa could not help but laugh and grin.

Seeing that Adi could panic from the spiciness, he felt more human. Maybe true said papa, thought Harsa, Kak Adi feels upset because I will not just know. In addition to knowing Adi's weaknesses, his diving hobby also brought him closer to Harsa. When taking turns bathing in the hotel, Adi told me that he wanted to have a diving friend. He also told me that he once swam with dolphins on the high seas and hunted with Narhwal whales. Harsa half-believed, but seeing how Adi swam so easily moving at a depth of ten meters without getting tired in the least, Harsa did not refute him. One thing he realized, when he talked about hobbies, Adi's mouth leaked as well.

“Drink, drink.” Darma immediately immediately immediately gave warm tea to him.

“Duh, even if no one understands other than me, do not curse dong!” Erik said commenting on Adi's singing.

“What does he say?” Ask Harsa curiously.

Erik's eyes are pinching. “Hush. Do not learn Kasarewang language through umpatan.”

“Enough. I've eaten enough.” Adi said trauma. He looked at Harsa who was enjoying the prairie sauce crab with puzzled eyes.

“If you are used to eating spicy, so delicious loh.” Harsa.

Adi shakes. Harsa was still grinning. Maybe later tonight it won't be too difficult to sleep one room with Adi, he thought. Harsa had been very worried about being awkward all night because she had to go to a room with her stepbrother, but after knowing that the mysterious man had weaknesses and hobbies, her foreign taste diminished. Well, as long as he doesn't underestimate me anymore.

Once they are full, they plan to go for a walk to buy souvenirs. This time, it was Darma who seemed to be the most spirited. “Yo guys, still on powered’kan?”

“Iya, Mother. Want to buy beach clothes’?” harsa said she was about to stand up, but her shoulder was held by Adi.

“Wait.” Order's cold. His eyes looked around suspiciously. “I think it's better to just take a break.”

“Yeah, why? You tired?” ask Darma disappointed.

Adi's gaze said, that's right. “Not that. There's danger. Well, I don't feel it?”

Erik's forehead is wrinkled. “You know I can't feel the movement of the physis anymore. But I do believe you. Then tonight we rest first in the hotel room.”

Erik breathed. “Harsa. Maybe it's time you knew. There's a reason I'm so lazy to go on holiday outside. The kasarewang has an enemy called formskitter. They will detect magic and form after some time to attack Kasarewang. At home we are safe because I have put up some spells to hide every magic spark inside the house, but here there is no protective spell.”

“So that means, now anyone wants to attack us?” ask Harsa to make sure. “What is it why Brother Adi always appears inside the house and not from outside? So that the magic is not detected?”

“Ya.” Answer Adi flat.

“Do not worry. Leave the situation to Adi. I'll pay for the food and then we'll go back to the hotel.” Erik said to the cashier.

“Can't you get rid of Adi now? Then we go shopping? It would be a pity if we spend it watching television only in the hotel.” The rose of Harsa to Adi.

Adi's face kebat-kebit. “You--------------------------!”

“By the way in Indonesian, dong!” Harsa shouted in annoyance. Although he does not understand Adi's words, from his body language Harsa knows that Adi is mocking him. If it is not mocking, why should he use a language that he does not understand?

“Hey, already! It's already! Don't fight anymore. You two are not little kids.” Tegur Darma, don't want to make a fuss. They are already being noticed by other visitors.

“You don't plan to cancel a shopping event because mama’kan?!” Harsa ignored Darma.

“What?”

“I don't know why, but from the beginning you never saw mama in the eyes!” Harsa was getting impatient. “Why? Because mama's a human? You also look at me one eye’?”

Harsa's question made Adi stunned. “I..”

It was fortunate that Erik immediately came back and took over the situation. Aware of her losing her voice, Harsa held her mouth back and felt sorry for Adi. He followed his family to the car to return to the hotel. To be honest Harsa was somewhat regretful of her getting out of control. The warm atmosphere that began to form home from playing on the beach is gone already. They should also quickly go avoiding confused gazes from other visitors.

Arriving in the room, Adi did not take advantage of their soft hotel mattress. He walks into his portable apartment and closes the door to the colorful mosaic, leaving Adi missing from their hotel room. It was as if Adi did not want a room with him.

Harsa sighed loudly and threw herself into the bed. Adi's shocked face as she vented her frustration at the restaurant was imagined. It was obvious that Adi could not reply to him, in another sense, he did not reject his idea. So, he did look at the human one eye? Or, Adi just didn't think that Harsa could get angry?

In the midst of Harsa's turmoil, her hotel room door was knocked.

“Papa?” harsa asked confusedly to find her father outside Harsa's room.

“Awhere?” ask Erik.

“Neighborhood.” An annoyed tone was still heard in Harsa's tone of voice. “So he came in, what? Portable apartment, then lost?”

Erik nodded. “OK. By the way, yuk.”
