Sharing Love: Winning Without Love

Sharing Love: Winning Without Love
The First Night of Heart-Washing

The wedding party which was only attended by a large family and several acquaintances of both parties was held without interruption. In the shade with the white rose decoration, stood a couple of brides in white Javanese clothing that gives the impression of sacred, sincere, and romantic.

A couple who do not know each other, in fact can work together nicely, giving their smile to every invited guest present. It was as if a beautiful smile had never faded from the faces of the two. Not a smile setting, but hearing sincere prayers and happy words from the invited guests make Khaira happy, she also hopes to have a happy marriage, sadinah, mawadah, and even a happy marriage, wa rahma till jannah with her husband.

For Khaira it does not matter if the two know each other first, waiting until the flowers of affection bloom in the hearts of both. After all, the time they had to get to know each other was a long time.

After all the wedding procession was completed, Khaira was immediately brought to Radit's private house which his parents bought as a wedding gift. Khaira who has removed the kebaya, hair ornaments, to clean her makeup must be prepared to leave her home, leave the room as her most comfortable place, leave the father of Ammar and Mother Dyah, and must follow her husband, Radit.

"Dad... The Mother... Khaira said goodbye, but khaira will still occasionally visit Father and Mother." The girl cried so hard in the arms of her parents.

"Yes Khai... This house is always open for you. Learn to be a good wife, son..." The message of Father and Mother to the only child.

"Yes Dad... Mother..."

Radit said goodbye to Ammar's father and Mother Dyah. Not to forget that he left his beloved daughter and gave prayers to Radit and Khaira.

"Now we're a family, Mar... My goal of being a family with you has been achieved by marrying Radit and Khaira. Don't worry, now that we are also Khaira's parents, we will also love Khaira as much as we love Radit. Khaira is not our daughter-in-law, but our daughter." Said Wibi's father while hugging Ammar's father, those who are friends since young can now become a family with the marriage of their two children.

"Titip Khaira yes, Bi... Guide my only son. Love my son, if my son does anything wrong, rebuke him." Ammar's father patted his best friend's back, holding back his teary eyes.

"Yes, we say yes Besan. Khaira is safe with Radit, we'll also visit them often."

Finally, Dad Wibi's car and the bride's car went hand in hand. Ammar's father and Mother Dyah stood in front of the gate waving her hands off the departure of her only child following her husband.

While in the car, Khaira cried sobbing, even though this was only a temporary farewell, but she was so sad. The house she lived in since childhood, the parents who took care of her every day now no longer exists, her status as a wife that must make her leave her father and mother, and then unite with her husband.

Radit who saw Khaira crying sobbing, actually showed a look of careless face with the behavior of his wife who was like a child.

Khaira did not reply to Radit. He threw away his face and preferred to see the view from behind the glass of his car. The first sentence that her husband said was precisely a sentence of ridicule by saying 'ceng'. Any child will cry when separated from her parents, and follow her husband. It was an instinctive feeling that arose due to the great affection of the child and his parents. Not that whiny, anyone also cries when he has to leave his parents and start a new life with his husband.

The car carried by Radit and Khaira split the streets of the capital which is still crowded, until finally the car entered the residential area with a one gate system that maintains the security of all residents of the residential area. The car was stopped in a two-story minimalist housing, with paint combining gray and black, and a black trellis gate that makes the house look beautiful. Both got out of the car, and into the new-looking house.

"The room is above, just go up." Said Radit as he stepped up the stairs first. Khaira also followed her husband's footsteps.

Khaira also entered the room with the window facing directly to the front street of her house. He swept his gaze around, observing the room. There is a king size bed, television, medium sofa, study table, and bathroom inside.

"This is your room... You can stay here, I'm out first."

"Where are you going, Mas Radit?" Ask Khaira who called her husband's name "Mas". Because, however, according to Javanese tradition that is often told by Mother Dyah, calling the husband by the name "Mas" is a sign of a wife respecting and appreciating the husband.

"It's none of your business, because I won't sleep here with you. Or maybe you want the first night like a newlywed couple in general?" Radit said with a faint smile on the corner of his lips.

"No..." Sahut Khaira with a soft tone.

"Don't expect to earn my inner living, because I don't love you. I ask you without love. I ask you to fulfill the match made by my father. And, I already have another woman that I love. I'll marry her soon. The woman I love is worthy to be my heart's consort and earn my inner living, not a whiny little child like you."

After saying those hurtful words, Radit left his wife alone. Khaira felt an incision in her heart. The wounds don't bleed! Her husband's words were long in fact only give sorrow and lara.

"I also accepted your proposal without love, Mas. But why did you become such a cruel husband." The words came out of Khaira's mouth and she cried in her bed.

"If the betrothed must be based on love, it is not a betrothed to love, but it is God's destiny..." Her heart felt pained with every word her husband said on their first night. The first night that should have been waded by the two brides in the ocean of love ended bitterly for Khaira, on the first night her husband left her and said he would ask for the girl he loved.

"Cruelty... You're a cruel husband, Mom." Khaira cursed her fate for having to build a household without love. Even her husband did not seem to want her.
