Now that Qun Nan and Xian Ran were facing each other's protective spirits behind them, the spirit would protect his old man from any approaching danger.
"Oh!" Xian Ran exhaled thinking that if this fight was going to get more intense, to be honest Xian Ran had thought that if there was Mei Lin nearby then all this would be easier.

The sword stopped immediately. Utilizing the moment, the life elf directed another attack intending to coil around and lock the grand general with the tree roots.
The great general who realized that immediately restrained the root of the tree with his shield.
When the tree root was knocked off the shield at once the tree root came to a halt and could not make any more attacks.
Though it could have been a tree root attack wrapped around the shield as well as the body of the great general. But it was not as easy as imagined, it turned out that the shield was an artifact that dispelled any attack.
Every attack that came into contact with the shield then the energy from the attack was instantly drained resulting in weakening.
The elf of life re-emerged the roots from the ground, now with a very large number of the same size shot towards the great general.
The grand general immediately retreated backwards and left his sword wrapped around by the wooden root.
The shield was indeed able to fend off all attacks and suck up its energy but if the attack had a large number then the shield was less effective to serve as a barrier.
Since the shield required time to suck up energy, let alone attack it had a huge amount of energy it would take a few seconds to absorb it.
And if attacked consecutively without stopping then the shield can not survive and will immediately lose its function because it is no longer able to absorb excessive energy.
Therefore the silhouette of the great general dodged the attack and retreated backwards.

Appearing a series of ancient runes on the silhouette of a life fairy, then from the runes appeared many wooden needles that were very small in size but in very large numbers.
There were about tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands coming out from within the runes then darting towards the silhouette of the grand jendra.
The grand general struck out another new sword with Qi and a sturdy shield that was also Qi coated prepared to withstand the attacks heading towards him.

Like a rain of arrows, hundreds of thousands of wooden needles shot down the great general.
The great general bent and took refuge behind his shield, to protect his entire body then the figure formed another shield on the right, left, and top to defend.
Minutes passed by and the rain of needles had not stopped at all and looked endless.
Qun Nan who was aware of the spirit state of his guards was nearing the limit. Now the three of them fighting Xian Ran were some distance away from the two spirits fight.
Qun Nan did not expect at all if she would be pushed up like this by the figure of the girl they had initially underestimated.
Qun Nan turned his head towards his two companions namely Liang Bufang and Bai Zhen. As if understanding with Qun Nan's intent, the two of them instantly made a hand seal.
