Ch. 17 - Opening the Chakra

The atmosphere of [Arcane Island] looked very lively, the disciples and cadets who had finished attending the lessons today seemed to be filling their leisure time by practicing, studying, and learning, or have fun with all the best facilities there.

One of the popular spots in [Arcane Island] is at the western end of the island, where people can enjoy the sunset atmosphere above the surface of this vast lake.

People can be seen enjoying the sunset there, starting at cafes, restaurants, or sitting on the bench that has been provided.

Not far from the coast [Arcane Island] there are many boats and fishing boats that go to the coast [Arcane Island] for docking or parking at the port that has been provided.

But there is one boat that attracts attention among the large ships.

A small, visible boat can only accommodate a maximum of two people at a time.

On the boat there was a man who was fishing with a high stature, athletic body, and also jet-black hair, but strangely he fished while closing his eyes while cross-legged.

I closed my eyes in order to feel more clearly my magical flow.

The wind tickled my skin, the sound of water colliding with the boat I was riding on, until the fresh air that was above the lake slowly the sensation was not felt due to me who was concentrating on the magical circuit in my body.

I could feel five very faint spots, where there were anomalies in my magical flow.

And for now I'm focusing on the point in my right hand, giving the impression that I'm pushing a giant gate.

Sensing that there was an open gap in that chakra point, I swiftly concentrated the magic further so that the gaps that had been small felt larger.

Then like a rushing wave, a refreshing sensation then filled my body.

I opened my eyes and turned to my right hand.

Although it did not look different before opening and after chakra, I could feel that my magical flow felt smoother than it was.

Sensing this, I smiled as a result of the sensation of growing stronger which was very satisfying.

After inspecting the status of my window, I could see that the amount of magic as well as my control over it increased drastically as Professor Hiroki said.

Then I looked at my body condition, because I was concentrating so much on opening the chakra on my body, I didn't realize that my body was now soaked in sweat like a showering person.

One more thing I didn't realize was that there was a pull at the end of the fishing line. 

I thought it was just a small fish, but when I started pulling my fishing hook, I sensed that it was a much bigger fish than I had imagined.

I tried to stay calm, following the movement of the fish that was trying to escape.

I tried to keep the hook attached to the big fish's mouth, and I finally managed to pull it towards me.

I was quite amazed when I saw the appearance of that big fish. It has beautiful scales and its large fins emit powerful energy. 

I carefully removed the hook from his mouth and took the fish carefully. 

I decided to release him back into the lake. My instincts say that the fish is still young and small compared to the giant form when he grew up.

Seeing the fish panicking and darting quickly to the bottom of the lake, I could only grin and look forward to catching it as it matured.

My body felt extremely exhausted caused by using a large amount of magic while opening my chakra points.

Opening chakra was more of a magical and energy drain than I thought.

"Ughhh!?"

But just as I was about to paddle back to [Arcane Island], extreme pain swept through my body.

I was confused by what happened, and then something like black veins was visible all over my body.

I instantly knew what the cause of the pain was, it seemed that Mimic Parasite was trying to take away my body when my body was lacking in magic.

But in these critical moments, I smiled broadly and as if muttering to Mimic Parasite.

"Haha! let's see how far you can go on this pathetic act of yours!"

With Mimic Parasite's resistance, I fell down and lay on the boat fighting for my right to control my body against this damn parasite.

I can now only withstand this parasite with my magic that has been thinned, hoping with my [Unbreakable Body] traits and saying rudely to the parasite in my mind.

The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was the full moon and the stars that illuminated the night world.

I was painfully waking up from my lying position, my body was now completely moistened by sweat to the point that if anyone saw my condition then they would think that I was plunging myself into this lake.

"Haha...Haha!!!."

I could only laugh loudly while mocking my miserable condition and my careless self so that the stupid parasite could use that gap as an opportunity to take over my body.

"Haaaaa.. Really sad."

The fact that I almost became a zombie made me angry with myself.

Looking at the time it had shown 21.30 nights, I grabbed my paddle.

Then with difficulty I rowed my boat to the docking place of the boat that was across the sea.

By the way, I was wondering what our possessor was doing, I hope that 'it' event will happen soon, I'm getting bored.

With that thought in mind, I continued paddling while enjoying the atmosphere at night.

The rushing, high-speed water enveloped and slashed at the dummy that was in front of me.

The dummy was instantly cut into two, seeing that, I continued using the [Ocean Edge Swordsmanship] horses.

The tattoo that spread across my body seemed to light up intensely.

I then concentrated my magic into my sword, the water spots illuminated and quickly became numerous then enveloped the sword eyes and spun at a higher speed than before.

"[Tidal Cut]!!!"

My sword then cut three dummies without any problem, however…

The sword I used for the umpteenth time was broken and shattered into pieces because it could not withstand my magical abilities.

"Tsk."

I could only click my tongue to see what was happening in front of my eyes.

Then my tattoo on my body disappeared and left the tattoo on my left arm as usual.

Something came out of my tattoo, it was Baby Phantom who made a contract with me.

"Vanta, you're always out of the blue."

As you can see, I decided to name Vanta to this Baby Phantom.

He looked at me and then turned his face away as if he didn't want to see me.

Seeing the behavior of this little boy, I decided to use a sophisticated attack, which was stroking his stomach.

Helplessly he lay on the floor and seemed to enjoy the elusan I gave.

"You're tsundere."

Unknowingly my mouth smiled at him.

For the event after this evaluation, it seems like I need Max in completing it, considering the difficulty in this world is up drastically from what is in the game.

Also counting the friendship with the madman, I again have not forgotten the incident to the party.

"Vanta, go inside again, we'll be right out of this training ground."

Seeing that the time had reached 21:30, I decided that training on this day was enough and returned to my room.
