Chapter 5. Marriage of Irwansyah to Azizah

Chapter 5

     Knowing that Irwansyah and Rela's household became estranged, because she had asked permission to marry Azizah to become a second wife. So, Mr. Maulana, Ms. Rosyidah and Azizah came to the family home.

     That night they came to the house after the completion of Isya prayer. Previously he had contacted Irwansyah first for fear of disturbing.

     Now the two families sit facing each other in the living room. It looks like Rela is staring at Azizah who lowered her head.

    Mama Fatonah stared fiercely at Mr. Maulana's family. He did not like the family because it had become a troublemaker in the household of his son who had always run in harmony.

"We came here tonight to clear up any misunderstandings that have occurred. I apologize to Irwansyah and Rela for my desire to have caused problems in your household. 

"I did it out of pity to see Azizah who was always slandered and insulted by others. They berate maki with rude remarks and other unpleasant deeds. Just because she didn't have a uterus, people looked down on her.

"Every man who wanted to propose to her would back off, knowing that Azizah could not bear children. So are the many striped men who only want to make Azizah as their napsu satisfier. There were even people who wanted to rape her because we rejected her proposal. 

"Even though Azizah was not a perfect woman, she had a desire to perfect her religion. Therefore, I look for a male Sholeh who will accept Azizah as she is. Of course with the intention of marrying her because of the intention of worshiping God.

"Irwansyah has also helped to find a mate from acquaintances he knows. However, from those who are single, no one wants to accept Azizah who cannot give offspring. Of course, every married couple wants their baby and can increase the reward in taking care and educating their love fruit as their later provision in the afterlife.

"I as a parent definitely want the best for my daughter. Therefore I asked Irwansyah to ask Azizah because I knew she was a loving and patient man. Can be a priest for Azizah in building a family according to the guidance of the Prophet. So presumptuously though I was ashamed, I offered my daughter to him." Mr. Maulana told him everything in his heart with the melt of his myopic tears because he was old."

     Hearing Azizah's story told by Mr. Maulana makes Rela's heart feel sorry, sympathetic, and filled with Azizah's life story. She could imagine how miserable and difficult Azizah's life would be just because she could not give offspring to her family later.

"I hope Rela is not angry with Irwansyah. He has no intention of betraying his love for you" Ms. Rosyidah continued.

"I hope that by telling this, your home life will be harmonious again as before" said Mr. Maulana.

     After the conversation, Mr. Maulana's family resigned because they were there for more than an hour and did not feel good to disturb in the rest hours of others.

     Dela could not close her eyes. She had been crying with restraint since. Somehow she felt sad and hurt when she remembered Azizah's life after losing her womb. As a woman, she must have understood how sad her heart was when she knew that she could not be a perfect woman. Cannot conceive and bear the fruit of love with the man he loves. Especially with the man she loves and is already planning a wedding. Only because of the loss of the womb, his dream was shattered. Already sad to lose the womb plus the loss of a future husband. Then, get slander and treatment that harasses his self-esteem.

'God, why is my chest so tight and so painful. Then, what about Azizah who experienced it herself, 'the mind of Rela.

    Rela also looked towards Irwansyah who was sleeping while embracing one hand to her. She stared fixedly at her husband, kissed cheek which she had rarely kissed in the past month except by being annoyed at her husband.

"What's? No. gabe. My brother will not marry Azizah. Already with this life," replied Irwansyah because just one week he made up again with his wife. Even today he is feeling a newlywed with greater and greater love from his wife.

"Right now I give you permission to remarry" Rela said solemnly.

"Tell! Mama doesn't want to have another daughter-in-law" snapped Mama Fatonah when she heard her daughter-in-law's wish.

"But, Ma. Poor Azizah. She is a Sholeha woman who wants to perfect her religion. But, there is no man who suits him except Bang Irwan," Rela told her in-laws.

"Have you thought through this decision?" ask Irwansyah.

"Already, Bang. Even I also pray istikharah for a week," replied Rela.

"We came here to propose Azizah to Bang Irwansyah" said Rela.

"Are you sure you allowed Irwansyah to marry Azizah?" asked Mr. Maulana with teary eyes because he felt overwhelmed.

"God's Insha, I do this because I expect his ridho. However, that is also on condition, Bang Irwan must be able to be fair to us and must not hurt our heart and physique. If that happens, then we have the right to sue for divorce" Rela replied.

"Alhamdulillah. May your willingness to share your husband with Azizah get a great reward on the side of Allah" said Ms. Rosyidah.

"May you have Heaven in the Hereafter. May happiness always be with you in the world until the next day" added Mr. Maulana to Rela.

The marriage between Irwansyah and Azizah was held three months later. Of course, there are a lot of scorn from many people. They demeaned Azizah because they had taken away people's husbands. People who have the nature of liver disease in him, call Azizah 'Pelakor'.

Rela Ambarita's willingness to make her mother-in-law love her more. Despite coming to her son's wedding, Mama Fatonah did not show a happy face. Quite the contrary, he put on a grim face. Meanwhile, Ukasyah and Oliv, who were young, accepted Azizah as their second mother after Rela and Irwansyah gave an explanation.
